Mike and his team did a phenomenal job cleaning out my parents' home. This was so much more than simply clearing out a house; it was a four-bedroom home that my parents purchased when they came to America from Italy over 50 years ago. It was where they built their life, raised their family, and created generations of memories. From the very beginning, Mike took exceptional care in handling everything with such respect and compassion. He understood that many of the items held tremendous sentimental value to me, and he treated everything as though it were his own.
This was an enormous undertaking. He cleaned out a four-bedroom house that included a full basement, two two-car garages, and additional storage/roof spaces above each garage. The basement alone was a huge job--it included a wine closet filled with five-gallon glass jugs, old jars of homemade tomato sauce, countless pots and kitchen items, as well as my father's tool room, which contained decades' worth of very old tools he had collected over the years. As my dad used to say, "the old-time Italians never bought anything and certainly never threw anything away"--and he certainly lived by that philosophy!
One of the biggest challenges was the baby grand piano. It was extremely heavy, and removing it had been something I tried many times before, but no one was willing to take on the job. Mike and his team were able to carefully dismantle and remove it, which was a huge task in itself.
Throughout the entire process, Mike was incredibly professional, respectful, communicative, compassionate, and kind. He never rushed me or made me feel pressured. He took the time to ask whether I wanted to keep something, donate it, or throw it away. That meant so much to me during what was an extremely difficult and emotional process.
Cleaning out my parents' home was not simply a job--it was the process of going through a lifetime of memories. Having someone as trustworthy, patient, and compassionate as Mike made an incredibly difficult experience so much easier.
His prices are so reasonable and incredibly transparent as well.
