Love this local grocery store, they have healthy options, tasty options and interesting more specialized products. They are so affordable with an amazing cheese selection. Frozen food section is lacking in no way, head hear for a tasty meal on the go. Salads and sandwiches galore! So nice to have something easy in the neighborhood, amazing staff as well. I have been to a lot of Trader Joe's in a handful of different cities and this is the first one where the cashiers never asked: "Did you find everything that you were looking for?" There is a reason. I go here every week because I'm obsessed with some of the staples I can only find at TJs.... but I can't find them consistently at this location. I am a regular shopper at Trader Joe's in Milwaukee, WI. I really like my local store and found this one to be similar, but not quite as put together. I shopped here twice in the past week while visiting Seattle. The usual things I buy were there, but no surprises. Check out was as friendly as I always find it to be, too. Love this neighborhood TJs! I'm in here at least once or twice a week. Staff members are always nice and helpful, willing to check the back when items are out of stock on the shelf. There's parking available in a garage beneath the store which is super convenient. The store can get crazy busy with pretty long lines but it's par for the course at any TJs. Pro tip: Stop in from 3-6pm on Saturday and Sundays for wine and cheese samples at the back of the store :) read more

This was my go to grocery spot weekly when I lived in Queens Anne. This place was always stocked with all my regular items. I often purchase the organic salads for a easy lunch meal. They always have samples in the back counter with free coffee. Staff are friendly. There is also underground parking off to the corner if you can't find street parking. The street parking can be tricky since you can really only back into the spot and it's on a slant. read more

Like this store a lot. Tons of decent bodega foods and snacks. Trader Joe's unique brand is a change of pace from the other grocery chains in the USA. You can't always use it your goto store, but its a unique experience. Easy to end up buying wine and cheese and sugar types of things here. This is by far my favorite place for grocery shopping when it comes to stores (nothing beats farmers markets!). As a german transplant I love the products that Trader Joe's carries, I am a big fan of the german imports (way cheaper than anywhere else!) and of the people who are working here. My favorite place in QA! The new Trader Joes is bigger, airier and continues to have the same great selection. From vast variety of pasta, alternative grains (quinoa, couscous) to greens to small portioned fruits, they meet my day to day needs pretty well. While their cheese, wine, meats selections are not as wide as some of the other stores, they are actually pretty good and you are sure to walk away with something you love. I do miss not having food seafood selection though. I also find the organic produce selection pretty plentiful for day to today. Staff is super friendly and the queues are never too long. I want to hugely thank the amazing staff at this Trader Joe's, specifically a kind man named Dan. I was having a really rough day and he came up and spoke with me seeing I was upset, and said the nicest words which helped to brighten my day. On my way out he additionally had a coworker send me out with flowers, which almost brought me to tears. If this review would've been posted on Thursday I would've given TJ one star. The turkey I purchased for Thanksgiving was the worst one I've ever had. I followed the instructions to the T and it was not flavorful, dry, and disappointing. My mom returned home to Seattle and while shopping mentioned how bad it was to a staff member at the Queen Anne location. They went above and beyond for customer service even giving her the refund by purchasing her groceries (the same $ amount). Thank you for addressing this disparity in the otherwise outstanding experiences we've had with TJ. I still won't purchase a turkey but I will continue to shop here for everything else. read more

After an appointment in lower Queen Anne, I was ready to hit up the nearest TJ's. Imagine my surprise when the Yelp app directed me to a spanking new TJ's on Upper Queen Anne! Yes, folks - TJ's has finally conquered the QA neighborhood with a spacious store that has as many parking spaces as my thighs have dimples of cellulite. And just like my thighs, the parking spaces in the TJ lot are W-I-D-E. Of course, there's also FREE backed in angled street parking right in front of the store for us Seattlelites who are always up for an enraging traffic challenge of flesh-jiggling proportions. Not that Queen Anne Avenue doesn't already have a plethora of shops, slow moving pedestrians and streets with STOP signs, instead of lights - the powers that be decided to back up the street traffic some more, so that people driving cars the size of boats can try half a dozen times to back into a spot that's meant for parking a baby's crib. The store is large. The spaces between shelves appeared wider than the long pregnant pauses I might have on a blind date with a guy who brings his imaginary friend, Fifi, as a chaperone. All of the TJ favorites are there, and on a weekday early afternoon the store was only moderately full. Service is great, as always. The larger store space also makes me think this location is up for more expansion/products in the future. read more

The flower selection here is always great and they're cheap! Trader Joe's just closed down their old, sad storefront on W. Galer Street and moved it into the center of the action on Queen Anne Avenue AND they brought all their AWESOME friendly staff members with them! My husband and I went to the old store frequently, and this new, bigger store is a breath of fresh air. We pulled into the parking garage, which was nice and big (and I love the new building smell). It was easy to maneuver to the elevator, but the elevator was so old and creaky and dingy for being a BRAND NEW building that I'd recommend taking the stairs. Regardless, you need to actually go outside to enter TJ's from the front. At least, I didn't easily find any ways directly into TJ's from the parking garage. We went in and they have all the traditional beloved TJ's products PLUS MORE because it's a bigger store. We were impressed with how "sterile and clean" everything felt in comparison to the old store that was just . . . old. Let me tell you why you should go to Trader Joe's on Queen Anne Avenue. VODKA OF THE GODS. I'm 99% sure they didn't carry liquor at the W. Galer TJ's, and now the QA TJ's is a full service wine, beer, and spirit section. The staff, albeit day 1 of the new store, was upbeat and friendly. Many of the newer fresh faces were on the cash registers and some of them were very excited about the new store. The more established staff was walking around helping customers find things and good ol' jolly ma'am who works at the free samples section was in her rightful place. The theme with her same section in the new TJ's is exactly what you'd expect: BIGGER AND BETTER. Whereas in the old store it was easy to ignore the free samples by walking right by them, instead you walk directly to the back of the store and the first thing you see is her smiley friendly face. She has worked there for years and is VERY pleasant and passionate about Trader Joe's. I recommend using this store now due to it's cleanliness, large array of products, efficient staff, and accessible parking garage. Thank's TJ's! read more

I heart TJ stores. This location is especially a pleasure to walk into on any given day or night. The staff here works well together and it is clear that everyone plays their role on the team. I'm cooking Thanksgiving lunner for my cousin and her husband - new to Seattle - and it'll be my first Tgiving meal I'm preparing all on my own (albeit as a pescatarian - I'm not cooking a turkey.) The somewhat daunting task of shopping for this feast was made a breeze by the simple layout and great customer service at this TJs. They have a parking garage, but as of yet I have always found street parking right in front of the store. I was in and out of there in 10 minutes with everything needed for this endeavor. This is not my favorite location even though it is big and bright and new. And it has lots of space and wide aisles. The staff is friendly but it seems like in this location I see folks stocking in aisles less and therefore am asked less frequently if I need help, etc. Parking is also great. The bad: I've noticed that items like packaged bread with an expiration date often has an expiration date of the next day or like in two days. The same thing has happened with packaged/processed mozzarella. I don't understand why they can't get their inventory system to work correctly in terms of what and how much is typically bought so they can re-stock at the appropriate time. At the very least, these items should be put on a clearance rack. These are processed foods so there is no reason for them to expire so quickly. Sometimes, I get lucky and find one with an expiration date in like 2 weeks. I've also had this same issue with cucumbers. You know, the small persian ones in a plastic container. They always look old and wrinkle-y whereas if I buy them from another store, they are fresh. Lastly, what's up with their limes? I know there was a shortage last year but I thought that was over. Their limes look half rotten with brown spots....like every single time I visit. The only good part of this is that they are prices "right" for half rotten limes at 29 cents each. One last good: I recently discovered TJ's brand croissants that are frozen and you proof them for 6-7 hours and bake them yourself. They are fantastic! read more

I was at Trader Joe's in West Seattle between 1115-1130 am and felt disrespected by an employee who made sure he knew he was being disrespectful. He followed me around the store, which made me feel very uneasy. When I went to check he told the cashier I was going to to leave and he packed my bag so full and pushed down on chips to break them. He didn't give me a receipt. I'll be calling the manager to get my back for his employee's behavior. If there not being disrespectful they're flirting with each other. read more

In my opinion the meat, produce, packaged lunch and diners are poor quality. Everyone thinks it's cheep, but look at the portion size, small. And look at the quality, poor. Can understand why people go there when Safeway is a half a block away and has a much better selection and quality. Though this isn't my "regular" TJ's, this is probably my favorite location in the city. The store is large and roomy and there never seems to be a crowd. You don't feel like you're constantly in peoples' way like at some of the other more crowded locations. The interior is always clean and well-organized, too. There's plenty of parking, either on the street or in the garage below the store. The people working in the shop are always helpful and friendly. At least when I've visited, there's been so few people in the shop that I barely have to wait in line to be checked out. I might have to come here more often when I don't feel like fighting the crowd. read more

This new Trader Joe's in Queen Anne is great. It's alot bigger than the old location. There's street parking or an underground parking garage available. Shelves are fully stock and there's always someone stocking if not. Aisles seems bigger than before so alot easier to pass by. I love shopping at Trader Joe's. This is a new Trader Joe's but I am not sure if its because people don't know about yet. Its not that busy and there are lots of parking in front and as well they also have a underground parkade (entrance at back). Variety is the same as the other TJ. I am definitely a fan of this new Trade Joes in QA. It is a located in the main area of upper QA. This location has more room than the previous one down the road, with bigger aisles, more selection and even a free large parking garage underneath with easy access to the store. I usually go on a Sunday or Monday and have never had to wait in the checkout line for more than 5 minutes which is nice. They have a great selection of pre-packaged meals for lunches or even frozen options for nights you don't want to cook dinner. I love their to-go salads, great selection and a decent price. I am also a huge fan of the fresh rosemary bread loaf. And by fan I mean I have been eating way too much bread because it is so delicious. They also have a great selection of desserts and snack items as well. The store is organized well and has many great items you can only get shopping at a Trader Joes (cookie butter anyone?!). read more

A great TJ location right where all the action is on QA Ave. Parking available on the street, if you can find it, which we usually do! Also available in the garage north of the building, for free! The elevator goes right up to the entrance. Friendly staff, typically clean store. The produce section can fall sparse somedays but we also almost always only come here an hour before closing so keep that in mind! read more

I have lived on Queen Anne for over 20 years, and I will gladly drive to Ballard to shop at Trader Joe's over going to the one on Queen Anne. The store is big, there's parking, BUT the service is terrible. Especially avoid Gordy. Everyone hired after the store moved provide less customer service than at the old location. Maybe the hiring managers should re-evaluate their criteria. read more

The old store was just a little too far of a reach for me to go there on my lunch break and now they have moved Trader Joes to a bigger and better location. I am really excited to have another option for lunch. They really make it convenient for me to walk straight through to the pre-made food section grab it quick and go. The other great part of this store is the candy and snacks galore right above the frozen foods. I swear I stand and ponder which sweet treat I should grab first... the chocolate covered marshmallows or the little stroopie waffles. By the time I walk back and forth several times my hand basket becomes full. Later, I realize that i didn't even grab actual groceries and produce for dinner -_- It just reminds me that the next day I should not walk through the snack and candy aisle and avoid the center aisle of snacks galore like the plague. It's Trader Joes, sometimes they have great produce, sometimes they don't. Sometimes the check out person is friendly, sometimes they're not. If you like Trader Joes you'll enjoy this location, if you shop there infrequently then I'm sure they'll have what you need..maybe..maybe not. The expired items like breads, rolls, etc on the shelf does tend to get old, hopefully they'll start keeping a better eye on expiration dates. read more

I'd rather go to the QA location. This one feels ridiculously crowded all the time. Both this location and the QA location have covered parking, which is a plus, but I get a friendlier vibe from the QA location. For instance, no one has ever given me stank eye like the chick who was irritated that I asked her where the mochi rice nuggets were. (By the way, one of the stars in my review is for those things. They're highly addictive and require that you purchase two at a time or you'll end up having to make more trips to TJ's.) For the record, I said, "Excuse me" and didn't have a shred of attitude when asking, so I'm not sure why the slow turn, the eye roll, or the lip smack. Was she was pissed that she was working on a Sunday? I have no idea. The cashier made up for it by being cool, at least. Above all, if you must come here, do it before 5pm on weekdays and stay far away on weekends. Unless you like crowds and attitude. read more

The newest Trader Joe's is by far the most spacious of all local stores. It's much easier to maneuver your cart through the aisles and pick up all the delicious snacks and treats Trader Joe's has to offer (I think they rival any grocery store). I'm quite partial to their packaged desserts, myself. Their pre-made salads are a great go-to item if you don't want to make lunch. And if you don't want to be too troubled with dinner, they have excellent pre-marinated roasts. All in all, a fantastic place for lazy cooks. read more
