Although I unexpectedly stopped by here to pick up few items, my experience was smooth sailing. First, I really like the open aspect of the store because it makes it easy to scan the store for the items that you need rather than going up and down 80 million aisles. While finding most of the things I needed was a breeze, I really appreciated that there were plenty of staff on the floor to assist shoppers. Also, I thought my cashier was super friendly, and the prices were pretty fair (especially for the quality) compared to other grocery stores in the area. Since this TJ's is in a strip mall of sorts, there was plenty of parking...something that is seriously lacking in these parts. The store was pretty clean and bright (unlike another store that I had to visit in the strip mall). During my visit, I did not notice any long lines because my wait was only about 5 minutes. Perhaps, I was very lucky or maybe it was due to shopping on a Sat night around 6 pm. While this TJ's is a little out of the way for me, I definitely would not mind visiting again. read more

I ran in during my lunch break to pick up three items. The service lines were quick and I swear they're always restocking. It was pretty crowded for a weekday at lunch. The one thing I did not like was parking. You'd think there would be lots of options since it's a shopping center but I could not find a parking spot. It was not that I couldn't find a close one, it was that I couldn't find one at all. There were no open and there were lots of cars coming so you really had to be lucky to snag a spot. The store has a unique layout and I found myself turned around looking for items. I found everything I was looking for and my checkout employee was just wonderful. Having a Trader Joe's not far off of Rockville Pike is probably one of the best things since moving to this city. I've only gone a handful of times because it's a pricer grocery store. I came in around 3 p.m. on a Wednesday afternoon. There was not a lot of traffic on the parking lot and there was a slow pace in the store. Usually, I come here on the weekends, but on weekends it is very hectic, which makes shopping on the weekends very stressful. In regards to my review of my visit to the store, I found a parking spot with no problems and walked straight into the establishment. It was neither too slow or too busy, it was just the perfect amount of customers to make the store run smoothly. It was an extremely well organized store and there were several employees engaged in restocking, organization and helping the customers. I really appreciated how well organized the store was. My checkout process was very quick and easy due to the fact that every cash register had an employee at it, so I was able to exit very quickly. Overall, my experience at Trader Joe's was exceptional. The store was well-organized, with plenty of employees available to assist customers and keep the shelves stocked. The checkout process was efficient and quick, thanks to the availability of cashiers at every register. I was pleasantly surprised by the lack of crowds and hectic atmosphere, making my shopping experience enjoyable and stress-free. Furthermore, I would like to give a shout out to Greg, who was my cashier. He was efficient while checking out customers, and he made entertaining conversions along the way. As it came to the time for me to pay, we talked about the Kimbap, and he recommended other things that I may want to try at the store, making me think about coming back next week to try them out. Why on earth are y'all doing a full restock with customers shopping during an after work rush hour? People are literally bumping into each other and the employees because it's too much going on smh. Boxes everywhere. & you could barely manvour through the aisles. They have some good stuff in here but there's so much chaos going on that you can't browse the shelves like you really want to. This place made my anxiety spike through the roof lol. I had to basically get in and get out. This location is the one that used to be across the street from Lakeforest Mall. However, This Trader Joes saddens me. Very small parking lot. Employees here are slim to none. The ones that are friendly but overworked. Check out lines are slow and long. Avoid coming here on the weekends because you will encounter screaming bratty children running wild throughout the store and the parents not even giving a care in the world. Most popular items are usually out of stock. I love buying their pizza dough. I love making home made pizza. However the herb pizza dough is to avoided. It has a weird aftertaste. I love their fruits and veggies. They seem to last a lot longer than places like Giant. There seasonings are limited but their everything bagel seasoning is definitely a must have in your pantry. They also have samples everyday. Which is always a winner because theres products that I wouldn't have discovered if I didnt try their samples. At times, their fresh flowers collection is a win. You'll see them as you enter the store. They seem to run out of a lot common items. No matter when you come in the week. I was hoping for a better experience once they moved from their Gaithersburg location but no. I hope they can work on their inventory. read more

Trader Joe's has decked the halls for the holidays with decadent, colorful and deliciously fun holiday foods, cakes, chocolates, desserts a plenty. It's always so much fun, and not expensive, unless you try to buy up the store...like I did a day a ago. They have items to eat or gift, like honey, hams and turkeys and alcoholic chocolates, peppermint JoJo's, adorable trees, mistletoe and marshmallow/chocolate snowman that melt in your hot chocolate. The Best part of the season, isn't even Christmasy....Trader Joe's MAC and Cheese Ball are back. I'm so excited to see them, as they are seasonal item. They even have items I haven't yet tried....peppermint coco, chocolate biscottis, Ginger Bread Houses, Gingerbread coffee, chocolate peppermint loaf mix, mystery gift pack to wrap present with, spices, chocolate oranges, olives. Trader Joe's always does it for me! It doesn't hurt that this place is only 2 1/2 miles from my house. There are so many things they have that my family and I need! My kids love their version of Lara bars, which are made with dates, almonds, coconut and unsweetened chocolate. There are new Paleo tortillas or some thing we absolutely can't live without. We go through them like crazy! They make the best quesadillas and are also perfect for miniature pizzas! And I always have to have their dark chocolate peanut butter cups on hand. I also love that they constantly have new products or seasonal products to try for fun! This past summer I fell in love with her watermelon club soda, so good! The only thing about this location that I wasn't prepared for us that they don't sell wine. I only needed it for a gift and I never actually drink, so it really doesn't affect me very much. But just a heads up if you're from out of state it might be a surprise. read more

Love Trader Joe's! Although this isn't the location I frequent the most, when I am in the area, I love to stop by here. Although this particular store isn't that large and navigating the overcrowded parking lot can be a task, once you find a parking spot and make your way in, you are in for a treat. I prefer to go early mornings as it's not as busy. Here are the things I love most about TJs: - Organic food selection, namely the fruit and vegetables. I love that you get an assortment of fresh foods that are organic here. The fresh flower selection. As soon as you walk in you are able to pick beautiful flowers. Instant mood booster. - The frozen food section. It's a God send. The variety and options are bar none. I love discovering treats in this section for every meal of the day -- breakfast, lunch/dinner, and even dessert! - The beauty section. Between the moisturizers, body butters, and the lemongrass oil, this part of TJs is a must see. - The snack section. Chips, popcorns, nuts to your heart's content. - Seasonal treats. I love going to TJs in the summer and fall because they change their products to reflect the season. Can't wait for the apple crisp candles to make a comeback (fingers crossed)!! I could wax poetic about the joys of roaming the aisles of TJs, but I'll leave that for a review of another location (probably one of the ones in DC that sell wine)! :-) read more

Great place to find unusual, slightly gourmet foods at a fair price. Everything is a little different than the typical plain vanilla variety. Great customer service, fast and friendly checkout. Beautiful mostly organic produce, large cheese selection, delicious ready made food, both fresh and frozen. Tasty international offerings like tamales and pot stickers. Great sauces, chutneys, tapenades, pestos, and chimichurris. Nice breads that are a little different than you would normally find. My only complaint is that the parking in this shopping center is terrible. read more

Everytime I come here I always have a positive experience. The staff is so helpful, and friendly, and pleasant, and they really make the whole shopping experience. The store is always clean and well organized, and everytime I visit there's always something new and/or seasonal to try. I really love the eccentric selection of flowers that the store offers. This is the only place I know, outside of a florist shop, where I can find calla lilies. I was surprised to find black calla lilies during my last visit. I didn't even know those existed! They were simply beautiful and, combined with their purple companions, made for a beautiful bouquet for my home. read more

A busy but cleanly location. Conveniently located in a shopping center so you can shop til you drop. They have a great selection of fruits and veggies and have sample stations where they test run new products. I tasted the cranberry sauce and kettle chips. The cranberry sauce (jarred) was amazing. The kettle chips weren't my cup of tea. I did pick up some orange and lemon slices which work as a substitute for lemon in tea and lemonhead candies. read more

TJs is a classic for a reason! This one on Rockville Pike is much more spacious than their DC locations, although unfortunately grocery stores cannot sell alcohol in MD. The frozen section and speciality treats are always worth a perusal to see what new seasonal items are in stock. Love the samples on the weekend, and the flowers here are fresher than anything at the nearby Giant's or Safeway. The employees are always so friendly and helpful, and it's always a treat coming here! read more

As far as Trader Joe's goes this location is great. I won't even begin to talk about the parking lot because obviously you can't have a Trader Joe's without a horrible parking lot attached. Overall I visit this Trader Joe's a couple of times a month. I love their specialty sections of vegetarian items! This is also a great option for lunches, their freezer meals are great but so are there wraps and salads. A couple of occasions I have stopped in and noticed my items out of stock. This is obviously disappointing and can be frustrating, but employees are always super friendly and apologetic. Everyone working The registers are friendly and strike up a conversation. They often give suggestions on things to try, or give feedback on items that I am buying. The space does feel a little cramped, but it could be that I am used to larger Trader Joe's. Overall this is a great grocery store that has something for everyone. It's hard to go wrong with Trader Joe's. read more

All the peeps who work here deserve like, at least one high-five. Imagine this: you approach the line. It wraps around the store. You're thinking, well damnit, this is where I live now I guess. But SURPRISE. These dudes keep the line moving and you are back out in civilianization trying to remember where tf you parked in no time at all. Here's the thing. Everyone thinks TJ's is more expensive. It really isn't. The products are actually stocked regularly and if you can't find things like chicken or fresh fish at any neighboring market, you can probably find it at TJ's (and for less money). The staff here have the patience of saints. If they snap at you than you probably deserved it. I used to work in and manage a number of retail-type stores for like 10+ years and these guys are truly an example of people doing their best. Also, buy their plants! I have an Organic Italian Parsley plant I got from them almost 2 years ago and it's still kicking! And don't overlook their card selection, browse while standing in line and you won't be sorry! read more

People from Hawaii love all things Trader Joe's, not only because of the affordable prices, but also because this is one of the few chains that doesn't have any stores in Hawaii...yet. We can dream. The plethora of yummy sweet and savory snacks available is amazing, and they always have new products to try. This time I found "umami powder," which includes ground mushrooms. Can't wait to see if it tastes better than it sounds. The banana nut crisps were really good, they tasted like banana bread but in cracker form. Wish I had bought a case. My favorite snacks include the s'mores chocolates, chocolate covered anything, 1-lb chocolate bars, hazelnut chocolate bars, cinnamon cookies, biscotti, and of course, cookie butter. They also have some great, inexpensive body lotions and soaps. I love their new coconut lemongrass blend body oil, it's not greasy and smells refreshing and not too strong. Ive been a fan of their tea tree soap, shampoo, and conditioner products for years. On my last visit I had to buy a cheap bag to check in a my TJ goodies, but it was totally worth it! read more

Love Trader Joe's it's one of my favorite groceries stores. It is located right next to Ross and David's Bridal. They have lots of organic food. It is my go to place for fruits and veggies they are always ripe, juicy, and stocked well. They have tons of different foods than regular groceries stores since they do not carry those brands but their own. The reason for not having 5 stars is because of the parking situation and slower cashiers. It would be very convenient also if they could get a self checkout for people with 10 or less items. read more

The one line for every register thing doesn't work for people with a few items. Walked in to buy one sandwich and waited in line that didn't move looking ahead of me where everyone had full carts- it was going to be half my life for one sandwich. I asked the manager if there were any express lanes and he seemed totally unbothered telling me no and that the wait would be short. It wasn't. It wouldn't. But great customer service. read more

The workers in the place are nice! I love the convenience of Trader Joe's, but as someone who cooks a lot, and more than just microwave dinners, it doesn't always have all of the things you need. Pretty close to everything, but not quite. The frozen food section is always great, they have lots of prepared food options if you're in a pinch, and I love to try their seasonal items. The prices are reasonable, but sometimes you can tell that the quality isn't as good. Their produce is OK. I don't LOVE the layout of the store, but it's not the worst either. Their checkout line is probably one of my favorites in the area. It's definitely not as crowded as others I've been to and I'm not sure if they actually have more lanes, but it feels like they do. I know it's not a store thing that they can probably change, but I do wish that they used less plastic for their packaging. It's super wasteful. Parking sucks, but I don't see how it would ever change since it's in a plaza. I love coming to Trader Joe's to stock up on my favorite things I can only get from there, but it's no Wegmans. read more

I especially love the flower selection at TJ's. My favorite flower is the Calla Lily, and it's rare to find them in grocery stores. TJ's consistently has them and they're super affordable.
