The manager Todd needs customer service training. I brought my recalled fried rice in to get my refund and Todd said the recall ended months ago but he'll honor it since I brought my food in. Then he looked at each bag and said none of these were affected but again he'll let me return them since I brought them in. All of that was an inaccurate and made me feel like I was not only an idiot but that Todd is Mr. Big and going to let all my mistakes slide. Feeling like an idiot I double checked the website because I thought how the hell did I miss read everything and looking at the Trader Joe's website I was correct and the recall is still in effect and each of my products were affected. I've been to Trader Joe's a handful of times in my life, and this was the first time I've been to this location as I live on this side of town. First Impression: The grocery store is definitely on the smaller side of things, but hat is to be expected with how there setup is. It was very clean inside and as usual very busy! I'm not sure if anyone else notices but it almost seems like every Trader Joes in town has the craziest parking lots ever ha! Interactions: Staff were very friendly here and that really isn't surprising to be honest. It really just shows they put customer service first and making sure we feel welcomed. Such a good feeling, kudos! Food: What can I say, I'm a huge fan of there products and I keep coming back more often for them. They have such a HUGE selection of unique foods that I almost always find something new :). I love the food here! Service: Checkout lanes are super quick, and I mean SUPER quick. Value: Honestly, one of the greatest strengths of TJs in my humble opinion is there price point for things. They still continue to boast low prices on goods, while maintaining the same quality and freshness. It's no wonder they've seen such great success. This place screams value :). Recommendation: If you love quirky new and unique foods or are a avid frozen food person, this place is where its at. Their frozen foods section is honestly the best in comparison to normal grocery store chains. Quality is amazing here and most importantly! I did a small shopping here recently (aloe vera juice, sun-dried tomatoes, shelled pistachios, etc.). In general I no longer do much of my grocery shopping here because of their high prices. However, they do have some good and sometimes unique products, so it's worth the occasional visit. read more

I'm a big Trader Joe's fan and this has been my go-to location for the past 10+ years. Parking is easy, staff members are friendly, and the product & price point are excellent. I especially love their frozen food selection with staples like the chicken tikka masala and the broccoli and cheese quiche always stocked in our freezer. Price are great, service is incredible. That the main thing. They have lots of organic products, and there kitchen cooked products are tasty too. There is a good selection of their product line also. I haven't tried them all but the ones I have tried were good. It's a big deal to get 5 stars from me, even 4 requires top standards. I give them a solid 4. Special thx to cashier "Kat" who just went above and beyond in finding me a family favorite baked good -- even when doing stick I also saw her give that same A+ customer service to shoppers. Also to Perri, who was courteous even up to the last minute of shopping (with a ton of items to bag); and THANK YOU to her and managers for letting me get quarters here -- my nearby bank is a hassle and my branch bank is a little too far away. Friendly, but never invasive -- this is the kind of customer service that makes me want to keep spending hundreds of dollars there. Thank you so much for the efforts, you make to keep a little piece of the world a reliable and kind place. SUPPLY CHAIN ISSUES: Now despite overhearing that they are, in fact, lower-than-normal on stock...there was still plenty to buy! In fact, I found a bunch of new things to buy, as well as just new items to I my family (ones I had not had an opportunity to try yet). And it's still great that items catering to #seasonal, #dairyfree, #glutenfree, #lowglycemic, #lowsugar, #soyfree, #vegan are all present. Time to update the review to 2023 standards! This location of Trader Joe's is still a 5 star for me and although their items are about the same as other locations, this location stands out amongst the other location in Tucson for the parking and the niceness of the staff. Parking is plentiful and the location is very convenient on Oracle. The location on swan is a bumper bump waiting to happen and the location on campbell is not much better. Staff here are always willing to hop on a call to check stock of something, look in the back if something was delivered, or let you know when the next shipment of a specific item is coming in. Always love going to Trader Joe's and this location is standing the test of time. read more

Dee was the rudest person I have ever encountered at a Trader Joes in my 20 years of shopping at this Traders Joes. She ignored me when clearly seeing me standing next to her while she was stocking salad. I waited about a minute, still nothing so I said, "hi do you know if there are any candied pecans in the back and she curtly said "you talking to me?" As if she hadn't ignored me and I said "yes" and she said most people say excuse me" like whatttt I'm a customer and waited patiently and saw her see me and ignore me. SHE then went up to a manager as I was looking for someone else to help me and she says "there she is" LoL like I did something wrong. What is wrong with people??? read more

Haven't been to this Trader Joe's much and it had been a long time. It's in a strip mall and parking is tricky. Once inside, there were a lot of shoppers but also a lot of staff so checkout lines move fast. There are items I go back for like soup, pineapple juice, salads and produce but they also have seasonAl or just new items. I got some new items like gnocchi and macaroni with 4 cheeses. Haven't tried them yet but sounds good. The frozen section has different ethnic choices which is fun. read more

The staff members have good morale here, which says a lot about the store. I always feel pretty safe coming here with masks being required and a limited number of people permitted inside at one time. Since COVID times, I have found myself waiting outside in line a few times, but the line moves quickly, and the staff will often come out and offer cold bottles of water to people in line. I love so many TJ's products. It's hard to name them all, but they have great options in the frozen section for quick dinners, and you can get the best snacks ever here. I love all the fall seasonal items and am crazy for the Maple Kettlcorn, Butternut Squash Mac and Cheese, and Pumpkin Biscotti. Their canned French Vanilla Cold Brew is really good. They have a small selection of spices, but I buy them often because they're really affordable. They also have really pretty flowers that are very affordable. If I have to buy flowers, I'm getting them here. I love this store! read more

Absolute last time shopping at Trader Joe's. I've tried over and over to give them my business, but simply cannot anymore. As someone who struggles with a neurological disability (and has a physician's note to confirm, along with the ADA guidelines for exemptions) and genuinely cannot wear the mask for more than a few minutes at a time, I have been treated like I have a scarlet letter or a Jewish star on my chest every time I go there. Today, with my face shield on, I step up to get the cart that is labeled to accommodate someone who cannot wear a mask. The employee at the door greeted everybody before me but myself. Strike one. Upon check out, I cannot tell you how terribly the cashier treated me. First, failed to greet me. Second, I had a return and he acted like I had the plague. Legitimately stepped back more than 6 feet from me as I explained and sat down my receipts and my items. No hello, no thank you for shopping with us, no how are you, just rude glares and silence. Proceeds to check me out without saying a word to me. Then the manager comes up to process my return and he stands probably a foot away from he for several minutes mind you. Manager doesn't say hello or ask how I'm doing. Doesn't say a word and then leaves. It is appalling that so many people with disabilities are treated well, but when it comes to masks and neurological disorders, we are treated like garbage. And the crazy part of it is it's all not based in science but in fear. The CDC says you must be within 6 feet for more than 15 minutes of someone who has active symptoms to even have the chance of getting sick. I have no active symptoms nor have I been close to anyone who has. I had a face shield on and was simply handing him my items and would not have been close to him for any more than 30 seconds. And to treat someone like me so disrespectfully is just disgusting. This is not the first time something like this is happened but the first time I'm writing about it. I am so done with their garbage. read more

My hubby wears glasses and cannot see when forced to wear mask over nose- this was right around the time the mask order was lifted too- so legally fine again. still an over zellious employee decided it was worth his time to chase us into the store to tell us that it HAS to be over his nose and it didn't matter if he ended up falling cause he cant see. i don't like companies that are extremely political no matter the side. I was really excited to shop at TJ as i heard that they had unique things but was not impressed with anything. We did buy over priced regular mustard and a nice bottle of wine (was good). But due to how we were treated by the employee this gets the 1 star. wine - 4 star mustard - 3 star experience compared to expectations- 0 star id rather shop somewhere that has a better selection and better prices. Trader Joe's are all pretty much the same from one location to another, however, this store's location is ideal in that it's easy to get into the parking lot, compared to the stores on Campbell and Wilmot. Staff members are always friendly and happy to help, which I appreciate. TJs is my favorite place to stock up on goodies for grazing boards, such as nuts, dried fruits, crackers and jams/spreads. I also love TJ's florals. The selction is always lovely, fresh and affordable! read more

Their isles are wide & the staff are friendly. Love their meat section & they carry my favorite mozzarella that is close to the local mozzarella I love in Manhattan. I felt safe to shop there during the pandemic. In the middle of hot summer days, they handed out cool bottles of water. What a thoughtful service , I thought. Whenever I ask questions about finding an item, they always, always, offer to walk with me to find the particular product. My only wish is that I hope they carry more variety of fruits & vegetables so that I can shop all my groceries in one place. Trader Joe's is my favorite place to come get snacks and appetizers when we host people at our place. I try not to come on an empty stomach because it can get quite costly compared to other grocery stores. Their produce is always a hit or miss with me. Get the brioche bread, it makes the best French toast. If they have Kringle, get it. Goes great with coffee. I love their freezer selections. I always have mine stocked with meals such as the mandarin chicken, fried rice, gyoza, and various frozen vegetables in case I don't feel like cooking. The staff here is so friendly! My toddler looks forward to getting her stickers and they've always offered to help me to my car - even insisted when I was a million years pregnant. Much appreciated! read more

I found what I needed, normal stuff I buy. This location I found to be on the less "energy less positive customer service". Not sure I'd come back to this location. I was passing by (twice) the clerk's, which seemed like I was in their way. I mean, when there's many customers and clerk's have to be luggin around merchandise etc. I get it. But if ya don't like or love what ya do ? At least don't make faces at me like I'm in your way, wow. Sorry for coming into your store and getting in your way. LOL!
