Not really a review but first impressions. Because really, it's Trader Joe's. So why waste the bit space? Well as first impressions go, it's stylie. This TJs gets marks for it's signage and marquee fronting Great Mall Parkway bringing a bit of class to the upcoming neighborhood and for better or for worse what may be coming. We'll leave it at that. Another stylistic touch is the painting right at the entrance of the parking garage which pays homage to what Milpitas is. The crossroads of Bay Area and a reminder that the iconic Mustang was produced at the Ford Plant across the way which is now the Great Mall. The other legacy car...The Pinto. Inside is noticeably a bit smaller than it's sister stores and yet not as well stocked. I mean all the usual products are there, just not in the quantity I was expecting. Sort of feels like a Trader Joe's popup rather than a store. Also unlike most TJs, there's an absence of frenetic energy of people going about with their shopping. The shoppers during my visit were casually going about their business, barely queueing line at checkout when visited early before lunch. It could be the abundance of natural light afforded by the large glass windows that puts you in a good mood. But then again it's just recently opened and during a pandemic, in a building and neighborhood that is still under construction. In my experience with TJs I usually shop there maybe 2 or 3 times a year, typically during the holidays. It's nice having one close by but I'll be hitting my usual go-to's for groceries. That said, I managed a decent haul of snackies as I do whenever I stop by. read more

I grown to love this location of trader Joes! Originally i didn't like the parking and how it is set up. But so far the times that i have gone, it hasn't been to crowded at the parking lot and in the store. I have space to wake the aisle and also there inventory has been good here. I haven't seen things get completed sold out which is good because i love there products and they have been there for me everytime i have visited. read more

This location is one of the best in the area, its always very clean and the employees will always stop what they are currently working on; in order to guide you to any desired item that you are attempting to locate. Their prices are fair considering that they are located so close to public train transit and the quality of their items are always top notch. They carry all types of grocery items, but one thing that I have noticed ever since I started shopping here is that their brand can often times be better than the original. If you shop here, just know that browsing through each and every aisle can lead to many interesting impulse buys, but that necessarily isn't a bad thing. read more

They have very poor customer care training. A crew member shouted saying- " excuse me you are in my face"- rudely- when a lady tried to get caramel sauce from the shelf. He happened to be shelfing a lower shelf and found it irritating that a customer takes anything from around him. Very odd behavior in Milpitas Trader Joe's. I would not recommend shopping here till they change their crew or train them appropriately. read more

First of all, this one star review is for management only. All the employees here are the sweetest people in the world! - I am #1 fan of Trader Joe's, and all their products! I don't shop anywhere else! I will start by saying that I did approach management many times, and told them that something is wrong with their meats section. I was hoping they would do something, but unfortunately nothing has changed. About 6 months ago, I noticed that from time to time raw meat (chicken, beef, fish) I would bring home from tj was smelling funny. So I would go back and return. But it was happening more and more often. All the dates on the packging were good, another 5-7 days until expiration, but meat stank like crazy!!! At this point it would happen 1/3 times I would buy meat. It's ridiculous! I complained once, I complained twice, and then the third time I returned 2 pieces of half cocked salmon, I complained again. There was no apology, he just looked at me, like I was crazy, and gave me refund. Oh well. I guess I'll be shopping back at Coleman tjs. Even though it's extra 10 minutes drive, at least I know I won't have to drive back to bring their stinky meats back. Beyond disappointed!!!! read more

Trader Joe's is literally my FAVORITE place ever! I have been going here ever since I was in elementary school and I absolutely love their collection. My go-to food items include the Cauliflower crust for pizza, their tomato soup, the sunflower butter, and all their wonderful snacks! They also have a really nice collection of plants and succulents for all the green thumbs out there! I miss the free samples pre-covid, but I can't wait to go back and stock up on all my favorite snacks!! read more

There's not much to say about Trader Joe's except it's a snacker's paradise. Where else can you get a 3 buck chuck and frozen pizza without feeling judged? I've always loved the customer service, they seem so laid back and the store is constantly cleaning their carts and spraying alcohol on your hands. They haven't changed their banana prices since they first opened and pre pandemic you were able to try ANYTHING you wanted, all you had to do was ask. Here are some must trys: Everything but the bagel seasoning Indian fish korma (frozen) Cookie butter Hold the cone ice cream Cauliflower gnocchi All their seasonal products. Go crazy ! just know all the products add up so dont blame me when you went for bananas but came home $300 poor-er. Happy shopping read more

I am glad we have Trader Joe's now close to home. This is my to go shop to buy fruits, veggies, milk and bread. Staff are very friendly.

Poor customer service. They made a mistake in the pricing of a bouquet I picked. It was sorted and they did refund me but instead of aplogizing the manager was telling me to be careful in the future. Seriously?!! It wasn't my mistake at all and it's the staff working there that needs to be more careful (and of course, more courteous too!!) read more

I really enjoy Trader Joe's so when one finally opened up next to me , I was super thrilled!! I couldn't give it a 5 star as I feel that this store has become a popular location for many and restock is an issue. Other than that it still a fabulous location. Hands down great bang for your buck for Organic or all natural products... Veggies are limited so you gotta come early ... huge space inside to make you feel comfortable and safe as you shop during this pandemic. Convenient parking both externally or in garage. I haven't been to a TJs that I haven't like yet ... woot ! Psstt.... please restock often since it's a high volume / traffic location ... thank you read more

One of the few places I shop for groceries. This place is conveniently located with plenty of parking outside and inside the parking garage. The staffs are always welcoming and helpful whenever I need help with finding anything. I love that they have a lot of organic variety of everything. Things are a bit more expensive and I wish the store was bigger but overall the experience and unique snacks they have will keep me coming back. read more

Yay! I can't believe there's finally a TJ's in Milpitas! Even though I live in San Jose, I love stopping by different TJ's in the area if I can to see what selections they have. I'm always on the hunt for those seasonal releases that I see on the @traderjoeslist IG. I've been to the Turing complex when it first opened for a Yelp event and this time around, it was completely different! I'm so jealous of the Turing residents that can just go downstairs and shop at TJ's-- that would be the dream! Even though this TJ's has city vibes being on the 1st floor of an apartment complex, there's plenty of parking, both inside the garage and outside in the front. Entering the garage could be a little confusing and tight, but it's not bad. When I went, there was no line, which is a huge plus. (Even though, TJ's lines have been moving really quickly during COVID). I love how open and airy this location is! And of course, the crew members are nice and helpful as always! read more

Finally we have a Trader Joe's in Milpitas! Stopped by 15 minutes ago and surprisingly no line and plenty of parking spaces. Quite spacious and plenty of items on shelves since the grand opening was only 2 days ago! This will definitely be my main grocer to go to! The staff is super friendly and attentive . read more

very nice new trader joes. 100% compliant for covid-19 safety procedures. Bright wide open store. Immaculately clean restrooms. Unusual sign at the front restricting photography. read more

I've visited this location twice and will be going here regularly! The store is large, there is a good flow and there is plenty of parking. It's really nice that this location came in, as there aren't any other Trader Joe's nearby. This will likely become my go to Trader Joe's! read more

I usually love Trader Joe's, like I refuse to shop anywhere else. So imagine my disappointment when I purchased some Persian cucumbers on Sunday and literally 2 days later I opened the package and the cucumbers were slimy and squishy. I was shocked! This is only my third time at this location but I've never had a bad experience until now. You can't really tell in the photo but they were so gross. My sister suggested saving the good ones and rinsing the slime off them. Gross, but I decided to try it anyways. I ran it under some water and as I'm rubbing the slime off the skin is just coming off. You can kind of tell on the middle cucumber. It was so gross that I decided to just throw the whole thing away. Apparently my sister says that every time she buys cucumbers from this Trader Joe's they're always bad. SMH. All that time in the line just to buy moldy cucumbers and at that I was charged twice for some chicken I bought. By the time I realized it I was already home. Pretty shocked with my experience considering this is a new location and it was going so well read more

It's finally here! Trader Joe's in Milpitas opened September 18, 2020, and it means we no longer have to go all the way to Coleman to get staples like kringle, pumpkin bread mix, cheese, salad kits, tempeh and all the delicious frozen foods your heart could desire. read more

Finally a Trader Joe's in Milpitas! Was super excited to go for their grand opening. They gave out free reusable bags this morning for the first 200 plus customers and gave a grand entrance for everyone who came in first thing. The store location is located under the Turing apartments across from the Great Mall. The store is nice and clean and everyone was social distancing. They had a wide variety of the usual Trader Joe's goodies I love as well. Will be back for sure! :) read more

Great prices, good selection, good customer service. Great prices on flower arrangements

Today I went into the Trader Joe's with my family and I had asked one of the employees for help. The employee I asked for her was named Christine. She is extremely rude and disrespectful and quite frankly I'm not sure how she is employed here. She is totally rude with a lot of attitude. Save yourself the time and shop at another Trader Joe's where they value customer service. read more

Great location, aplenty item . Convenient come and go . Clean and organized very well. read more

I always have a pleasant experience at any Trader Joe's location that I go to. I love that this one is literally two traffic lights away from where I live so that I don't have to commute 15 minutes or longer to go to other locations. I am always in and out when going here. They have really good salad kits and fruit. The people at the checkout are always pleasant and that is greatly appreciated. Parking is OK especially if you park outside. But if you park in the garage sometimes the spaces can be a bit tight and they definitely get full faster. All and all this is a great store with great prices and I recommend it. read more

Probably one of the best TJ in the area. The store is clean and organized, has in-door garage parking, and great staff! I asked one of the staff members where I can find an item. He didn't tell me which aisle to go, he walked me over to the section and introduced all the selections to me. Awesome service! I am always impressed with how they pack my grocery. They know what items to pack first/together, so when I get home I can unload them with ease. read more

I'm so happy TJ's has come to Milpitas! This is only 5 minutes from me so I shop here a lot. This store is pretty spacious. Always clean. Every time I go, it's never crazy busy which is so nice. I honestly hope it never gets busy lol, it's like a nice secret right now. The employees are always friendly and I always find what I need. Plenty of parking. You can park for free in the parking garage or in the outdoor lot. read more

Trader Joe's - Grocery Near Me - Milpitas, California

Initially, I almost gave this location a bad rating because I did not have the best experience on the grand opening weekend. But I'm glad that my opinion has changed after coming back a few more times! The shelves are well stocked no matter which aisle or section of the store you're in. There are plenty of staff members to help you out and to maintain covid protocols. The store is always clean as well! You may have to wait in line to get into the store but it's about a 5 minute wait so not bad at all. The only cons about this location is that the store is a bit smaller than other Trader Joe's locations, like the bakery section. Beware, the parking spots are small here too. I would advise against driving over an SUV or van here. Other than that, this will probably be my new go-to Trader Joe's! read more

Finally a Trader Joe's in the area! I was excited but nervous about this though since it's located in an apartment complex + Great Mall. Luckily, I had great experience! I came on a Tuesday around 1:30pm. There were plenty of available parking spaces and I was able to park next to the entrance. There was no line and surprisingly it was not crowded! Obviously this place is new, so it's super clean and organized. Hopefully it stays this way! Now, customer service. AMAZING! I was greeted, acknowledged, and helped throughout the entire time I was in the store. I'll be coming back to this location for sure! read more

One of the best grocery store. Pretty fresh veggies. One more reason I like it is lots of Indian frozen packs getting added to their inventory off late. read more

I came here very early after my birthday on a Monday and saw that Trader Joe's occupies 2 leased spots at a retailing spot near the Turing Condo's parking spot. This grocery is for the condos that occupy across the Great Mall. This TJ has a specialized location for all of the residents of Turing and the neighboring condos, a soon-to-be hotel, and the neighborhood in Milpitas - a captured market based I should say because it is so smart that Trader joe's is located here. This location is huge, well-organized and a neighborhood grocery store that offers quick, friendly grocery store that serves people great amazing food products coming from all over the world with great prizes. They have more space, more room for carts and also a big checkout area for shoppers. Thank you Trader Joe's for doing your market research, and having a location at this neighborhood. Yes, this area needs a grocery store just like yours. I went here on my birthday day off and discovered this place across The Great Mall. I am so glad I found there is a Trader Joe's at the heart of the Great Mall. It is still new but just a perfect grocery store. I love going to TJ for their unique food products coming from around the world, and what new products they have to offer. Their managers, staff - with inclusivity, diversity, veterans, experienced and those who are willing to help have genuine personalities is what sets them apart from other groceries and supermarkets around the area. I will go to TJ to discover new products that I haven't tried before, and if its good. It is worth buying and continue to patronize this grocery store. read more

Love this place / wife and myself grab a basket and walk up and down every aisle and look at everything pretty much every time we go we find something special from potstickers to sauces to new styles of beer I swear we can spend at least 20 to 25 minutes in the fresh vegetables prepackaged vegetables, meats, and cheeses read more

Trader Joe's - Grocery Near Me - Milpitas, California

This is one of the newest locations of Trader Joe's in this area. It is brand new, as it is at the bottom of a brand new apartment building. There is tons of space compared to other locations. One of my favorite things about this this location is they have a section dedicated to seasonal items. Since it's Fall, there's a wall with shelves upon shelves of special seasonal items. It makes it super easy to find what's new for the season all in one place. This is superior compared to other locations since you would have to walk around the entire store to find each seasonal item in their respective grocery store aisles. The only thing keeping me from giving it five stars is the parking situation. You will have to park on the first floor of the Turing apartment homes. The entrances to the garages aren't very obvious, so it can be quite easy to miss the entrance. I can foresee the parking garage being crazy during peak hours. I went on a random weekday morning, so there was barely anyone there. I will definitely avoid during peak hours because of the limited access to the garage. Another drawback is that during peak hours, there's no clear exit after you complete your transaction at the registers. You will see that the registers are tucked away on the side and there is only one entrance and exit to the store. Other stores typically have one entrance and a separate exit near the registers. This way after you're done paying, you have to make your way back to the front entrance to leave. All in all, I think that this is a great location. I can imagine it being crazy once things go back to "normal" since this is located off of a main road. The Great Mall is also literally right across the street so I wouldn't be surprised if that draws in more foot traffic than normal. I would come back here, only if it was non peak hours. I would rather travel a bit further to a different Trader Joe's location with it's own parking lot and in a bigger plaza if I was planning to go on the weekend. read more

To the manager Jason, thanks so much for shaming me in front of other customers for returning an item and rolling your eyes at me! Never have I been talked down to like that in a Trader Joe's and hassled for returning an unopened item that already had mold on it. To take it a step further, you had to keep throwing around the item as if the return was coming out of your own paycheck. I hope your higher up reads this and offers further training on how to be in a customer facing role! read more

Love this store, super friendly employees. Way less crowded than the ones in San Jose.

This isn't my usual Trader Joe's, but I honestly love coming to this one. I usually come during non-busy hours so it's really nice to not be so crowded and take your time browsing through the aisles. Since this location is fairly new, everything is very clean and organized. They also have everything I'm looking for and I noticed this one always has the new items, big win!!! Workers are also really nice and helpful. read more

I really don't know if I should even post on this since it's probably one of the best kept secrets around. This new location is always super organized, fully stocked, and never crazy busy.
