I had a great experience here! Customer service was top tier (checkout and stocking). Several items being constantly stocked (I went on a Sunday morning) and felt like I had equal access to all products. I've had a hard time finding gluten free English muffins and was able to find them here NOT FROZEN! Trader Joe's is a favorite of mines. Great prices with healthy food choices that won't cost you an arm, leg, and elbow lbs. There flowers, wine, cheese and there chicken Chinese rice is so so good! They also have great healthy snacks. 5/5 There prices are so reasonable and have convenient locations everywhere. 5/5 Workers have a friendly and personable nature. I've never had a bad experience. After having lunch in Maple Grove, I needed to get some lemons, fruit, and booze. I did a search and found this Trader's Joe close by. I was here on New Year's Eve Eve. Maybe I'd like this Trader's Joe more had I not visited this place a day before New Year's Eve. The lot was busy with folks coming and going. I don't enjoy shopping with so many folks. This plaza also had a Whole Foods across from this store. Maybe I need to return when folks are more relaxed and less frazzled. I hit the grocery part of the store first. I love the bags of snack-sized apples. They are perfect, yummy, and crisp. There were bags of blood oranges. I decided to get a bag. They were also yummy. Lemons are cheap at Trader Joe's. I got a couple of them here. I was happy. I also got some flavoured sparkling water. I love this line. No sugar. The fruit flavours are yummy and vast. I haven't even had a quarter of these flavours. I got to the checkout area and the man there was so nice to chat with. I paid with a credit card. Done! He bagged everything and wished me a nice evening. I did the same thing and left. I ducked into the booze section for the first time. I wanted something light and yummy for New Year's Eve. I found cheap bottles of prosecco. Yes, please! There were bottles of strawberry and raspberry rossini, and peach bellini. I got a bottle each. The man at the counter was great. There was a female customer who basically interrupted my paying for my items by saying, "I'm sorry, but I love the red wine here." Are you really sorry? I frankly didn't care about your opinion. I don't think the male staffer cared, either. It was so random and odd. I thanked the man and left with my precious items. The weird woman then got to chat up a storm with this man. I felt for him. I rang in 2024 with the peach bellini. It was bubbly and had the right amount of peach flavour. It went down nicely -- perhaps too well. I had two glasses of it, which basically emptied this bottle out. A few days before I was to fly back home, I had the other bottle after I returned to my hotel room after a Wild game. Same deal. The strawberry and raspberry flavours were perfect. I loved the bubbles. I would get both flavours again. I don't know if this prosecco line is a seasonal offering. I hope that these bottles are heaven are available year-round. They were delicious and cheap at $6 each. The items at this store are great, which is the case at any Trader Joe's. Ok, I think all the superlatives have been stated about how cool this store is. One item I want to crow about the the Unexpected Cheddar Cheese Spread Holiday Cheer. This seasonal gem has Riesling, cranberries, and cinnamon. This is probably the best thing ever they put on the shelf. I hope it freezes well because i am getting two more for later on. Who doesn't love Trader Joe's! This location has a great selection of produce including a few items that are hard to find at the big box grocery stores. They also have a great selection of gluten free items that are all good. I could live off their gluten free pizza, bagels, pancake mix and brownie mix... along with some fruit and veggies of course. My family actually prefers the gf mixes to regular ones. One unique thing is they always have a random selection of plants for sale at really good prices. It is rare that we go, that my partner doesn't buy a new plant for a fraction of the price that we see it elsewhere. This trip it was a Pink Hyacinth in a glass vase for $4. There is a separate liquor store as well. They have an ok selection of wine and liquor including some local brands, but the real value is in the Trader Joe's branded beverages. None of them are going to blow you away, but for the price, they are a good value. read more

I might be late to the game but is Trader Joe's kind of a hidden gem for fresh flowers? The bouquets are great and a fraction of the price from local nurseries or other grocery stores. I highly recommend for birthdays, anniversaries or whatever special occasion. Produce has always been good, I can find things Thsy seem to be missing from other grocery stores. Weird observation, broccolini seems to be less expensive here than elsewhere. I haven't gotten too deep into the frozen food assortment but hear there is great stuff. I did try a Greek phyllo dough roll thing, it was awesome. Totally reminded me something fresh from a little European bakery. read more

We are currently in 2021, in amidst the COVID-19 Pandemic which started in the middle of 2020. Trader Joe's is doing an awesome job, limiting capacity, and enforcing social distancing, requiring each (or a pair of customers) to use cart to enforce this. There is a sanitizer at the registers and a spot to stand in line at checkout to enforce social distancing. Will always continue to be a favorite. Great prices and lots of selections on organic fresh produce, meats, baked and prepared foods. LOVE! read more

Like every TJ's this place makes me happy just walking in the door. The employees resonate a sense of kindliness that no other grocery store I've ever visited can remotely approach. Today I'm in the twin cities of MN staying at a nearby hotel for a couple days and hanging out with my wife's sisters adorable little girls before the wife and I return again for my third California trip this year. Needing some yummy snackies for myself and the chillens, the best option was an easy choice. I'm always curious how TJs and it's ugly redhead head stepchild sister store can be so different in every possible way: Selection Vibe Cleanliness Which store do I infer? I'll not slag hem by name here. But they actually charge a security ransom to use their shopping carts while in the store. It's a small token, but it made me want to actually steal the cart and forfeit my quarter on general principle. read more

This is the worst Trader Joe's I've been to. The staff is incredibly rude. Trader Joe's is known for having friendly staff members, but I always try to start conversation with them at the register and more often than not they seem so annoyed. They place is clean smells great not punched in face with allergens besides flowers . Hamburger is to close to the seafood . The chicken is safe away from seafood and hot dogs are safe. The avacado numbers guacamole is awesome. The water is great wish they put in glass or aluminum. Organic bananas are amazing . Refried beans are great or kidney or red beans. Romain hearts are perfect Wish they not poke holes in the potatoes to avoid inflation risk exposure to allergens . Bread is great against the holes punched recently is annoying cover that up. I love the organic pretzel but move them away from the seaweed for god sakes. Also please tell me why manufacturers had to replace ingredients in water crackers . Whats next peanut butters that's perfect . Please move all seafood crap out the store in it's own freezer locked in a fridge so no one can be exposed to its contents . Wish they didn't sell pet food either. Clean up inspect toxic ingredients such as artificial flavors or natural flavors or rosemary extract or canola oils or soybean oil or vegetable oil witch is soy based sometimes yuck extra virgin olive oils is good. Chomps is best jerky on the market Whole wheat pita is great bread. I love there irish bangers is great seasonal also soda bread is great also winter pastry puff is great. I miss the surf board tortilla chips they 86. Some there breads are unatural we need get them out hot dog or hamburger buns with bad oils we only. Need extra virgin oil oils. Trader Joe's is pretty awesome. I live all the snacks here and the cheeses. I don't shop here too often because it's out of the way for me, I wish there was a location closer to my house, but I love coming out here for specific staple pieces. So far, there hasn't been much from here that I didnt like! The location can be insanely busy. It's a pretty high traffic location, and there's never been a time that it's been empty, no matter what day or time I go. The produce is not always the freshest, but it's not what I come to shop for anyways. The carts a pretty small which I don't like (I have a toddler and infant in a car seat with me all the time, so that is a big deal to me) but I understand why they are small. My daughter loves looking for the chicken, it's always so much fun for her! I also love getting the samples that they have in the back corner of the store, that is how I have found some really cool things! This is the best place to come to buy things for charcuterie boards. They have the best cheeses and salamis and prosciuttos! read more

Ode to a refreshing grocery shopping experience. This is not a trip to Cub or Byerlys or Lunds, this is somewhere in between. It is a much smaller store than the super-grocery and doesn't have the meat dept or produce of the Lunds but what they do carry is very good. Produce is select but good. The bread selection is one of the best in the city. They have great specialty breads at half of what you would pay other places. Very good cheese selection and their premade Trader Joes brand name items are solid. They also have a great selection of store brand sauces, from Red and Yellow Thia Curry to Enchilada, they are all very good. The best part is the employees. This is always a positive part of the shopping experience, they are helpful and always very cheerful. Makes up for the parking lot. KT read more

The German army had (has?) a rule that complaints should wait a day. Sleep on it and it often looks better and not worth a complaint. Not so here. We slept on it for a few days and it still irritates us. We shopped at your store last Sunday (19 December 2021) as we have done often. We liked it last year when you had a line of customers outside with social distancing and so on. Quite appropriate for Covid protection. But last Sunday we were among the very few customers wearing a mask like all your employees. Most customers were un-masked. Now, you must protect your employees and all your customers by vigorously demanding that masks be worn. No exceptions. NO MASK NO SERVICE! Sure. This is my favorite supplemental grocery store! I visit once every couple months to stock up on those wonderful specialty items you can't get anywhere else for the great price they have here such as: Peanut Butter & Almond Butter Pesto Sun Dried Tomatoes Roasted Red Peppers Granola Bars Nuts Dried Fruit * These items are so much more expensive in the regular grocery store!!! The French Vanilla ice cream is the creamiest, best I've ever had and it's hormone free. Strange for a chocoholic like me to say, but I crave the stuff... The people who work here love their jobs! The guy at the register asked if I found everything I needed and I told him how a guy had taken sunflower seeds out of a box in the back just after the truck had arrived for me. "Typical," he responded. "I rarely get to help anyone...." And he was being funny! read more

I'm so disappointed because I've been going to Trader Joe's for years and have always had a wonderful experience but the staff at this location was so incredibly unprofessional. They were very short and rude, it was a terrible experience which makes me want to stop going all together. Management needs to have a conversation about better customer experience! read more

I was bummed during my second to last visit because they didn't have the wine that I went there specifically for. The employee that helped me in the wine & spirits area was friendly and tried his best to help me, but he wasn't familiar with the wine I was looking for so he directed me to the customer service desk in the grocery part of Trader Joe's. Once there, they knew exactly which wine I was seeking because it is quite popular amongst customers as well as the TJ staff. They checked the computer and confirmed that they were out of stock. Apparently their distributor had been unable to get the wine for quite some time, which explains why I couldn't even find a spot for the wine in the wine & spirits area. Fortunately their distributor finally had product available and TJ had a case on order. So the customer service staff took my name and phone number and said they would call me as soon as the wine came in. Two short days later I received a call to notify me that the wine had arrived. I showed up and they had set aside the number of bottles I requested in a bag with my name on it which was located in the warehouse area of the wine & spirits store. Despite not having what I was looking for originally, both of my recent visits to this Trader Joe's were pleasant experiences due to the excellent customer service provided by the staff. read more

Simply put, I love this Trader Joes. I've been to others but I think what puts this location out in front is the staff. TJ's always offers some of the best and interesting foods. Status quo from store to store. Over the past two years, I've gotten to know the folks who work there and everytime they treat me exceptionally well. So I'm a fan as we know already of TJ's, this one was great and had the added bonus of being right across the street from my hotel. Located in the Shoppes at Arbor Lakes in Maple Grove or Osseo depending on who you ask this store is just off the interstate and lovely. I was able to pick up my favorite goodies and found this store well stocked...ie not running out or sold out like some other TJ's I have been to. I've shopped here on numerous occasions and enjoy it's location, just off 694/94 a lot. It can be challenging to find parking at times (be forewarned). You'll find all your favorite items (Maple Leaf Cookies, cinnamon raisin walnut bread, Pizza, extremely inexpensive wine next door) and you'll enjoy the friendliness of the employees. There's always a free sample to be had in the back corner of the store. The produce and the meats are terrific. The store is well-stocked. The prices are really quite reasonable, especially when compared to Whole Foods next door. Best of all, the store is conveniently located near numerous restaurants and stores, so you can get your groceries while your significant other is shopping, or you can hit the grocery store after a date at a nearby restaurant such as Granite City Brewery or Pittsburgh Blue. The store is small, so if you know what you're looking for, you can be in and out really quite quickly. read more

This Trader Joes is huge! I have realized the further east you go the bigger they get! I always feel like I am going to get run over by a shopping cart inside a TJ's....but that is not the case here. I always go early in the morning's so I do not get run over by professional grocery shoppers because I like to wander and have fun. This is my go to Trader Joes in MN. I really like TJs. They have so many unique and fun items. I have been to 4 TJs around the city except the Woodbury location and I have to say the Maple Grove and Minnetonka locations are the better ones. It's not that the St. Paul and SLP locations are not good, but the parking situation at both location is just horrendous. My must buy items at TJs are smoked salmon pieces, olive oil, and crunchy curl lentil-potato snacks. Their chicken sausages with different flavoring are so very nice. The fruits and veggies are also decent. I dont really eat frozen foods so I cant really comment on their huge arrays of different frozen food selections. This location is definitely very convenient because you can do some other shopping at Arbor Lakes too. read more

I went in for small gifts of hand lotion and hand soap for my adult students who's last class was yesterday. Then I picked up snacks and thought of plantain chips. Trader Joe's carry my preferred brand of plantain chips, so I asked a crew member for a box of plantain chips (20 per box). While I waited she walked right past me as I tried to get her attention, until Brian, a crew member approached me. He targeted me by saying, "they had a talk to you about coming to buy and resell plantain chips..." and "they had told me I cannot come to the store to buy plantain chips to resell." I could not believe what was going on. It didn't matter that I repeated myself a few times reminding him that I buy plantain chips on occasion for my large family and would rather buy a lot so I do not have to make several trip to @traderjoe's. Upon request to see his (Brian) supervisor, he lied, saying he was the supervisor - I pointed to his name tag that clearly had crew member labeled on it. He kept insisting I am the one they talked to who comes to the store to buy and resell their plantain chips. Brian eventually scrambled and walked away from me to the back storage area. He showed up with Angelique, who was the manager and a box of plantain chips. She introduced herself and repeated again they had talked to me about buying and reselling their product. At this time, I pulled out my teacher credit union card and driver's license to prove that I am actually on the way to teach a class and only came to @traderjoe's to buy gifts for my students and plantain chips for my family. I also asked to see camera footage of them giving me this supposed "talk" Their response was "well, I will allow you to purchase the box of plantain chips this time..." to which I replied explaining how I feel targeted and mistaken for every other person of my skin color who buys a box of these popular plantain chips. I then said, you guys are not doing me a favor by "allowing" me to buy them "this time." I was simply @traderjoe'smaplegrove to purchase their product with my hard earned money. Angelique's (manager) response was, " I can help you return the box and your items in your cart if you don't want them." I was shocked. I know folks who drive from St. Cloud just to get to Trader Joe's. I had to see what all the fuss was about. Now I see. They have so much cool food! Things that are unique, maybe a little hard to find, and just plain awesome. We mostly looked around since we were passing through, but bought and ate some frozen, chocolate-covered banana thingys. PLEASE PLEASE DONT PLAY WITH MY FOOD!!! Ok so I was in this location of Trader Joe's. (I hate the parking at the one in St. Louis Park). I found that one of the items I have grown to like (Starter Sauce) was being discontinued. So I decided to buy several of the cartons in anticipation of not being able to get it down the road. I looked around some more and finally went to the checkout. Now the 2 cashiers must have been really bored or TRYING to entertain me. The one cashier couldnt get his cash register to "wake up" WAKE UP WAKE UP COME ON NOW......Then he started ringing up my cardboard containers of tomato sauce. (i ended up buy 10 of them) Next thing I know he says to the other cashier who was going to bag. READY?? and started thowing the containers up into the air to the other guy standing less than arms length away. Oh he didnt do it for just one, but all of the containers. (I really wasnt amuzed). But maybe manangement.....tells them to be creative with the customer. They have been staring at each others Hawaian shirts too long. lol That said. There are some good buys and some of their store brands that leave me puzzled. Is it a good value for what you are getting. I have seen other customers put things in their cart/baskets and then put them back. It happens throughout the store. As for their organic meats. I have seen some that say organic but in fine print say "Australian" Meat flown in from Australia or beef hash from Brazil (there goes the rainforest). I try to avoid those items. Stick with name brand stuff that is cheaper then other stores. And what's with that irritatingly constant dinging of the bell. Bon voyage? read more

A Trader Joe's virgin, I finally had a chance to stop in at the Maple Grove location this past weekend. Amazing and wonderful and a thrifty foodie's dream come true. I was aghast at the price difference between TJ's and St. Louis Park Whole Foods, so much in fact that I pulled a cheese section employee aside and asked bluntly, "HOW in the world is TJ's able to offer these prices?!" For a nearly identical wedge of St. Andre Brie, TJ's had a pricetag of $4.00 and Whole Foods (the day before) had a pricetag of ~$13.00. WHAT?! REALLY?! Amazing. Wonderful shopping experience. Everything from "guacamole kits" complete with an avocado, a tomato, garlic bulb and a white onion, to frozen cubed albacore tuna perfect for thawing and skewering for a quick kabob dinner in this luscious, sticky heat. My $75 bill the day before at WF for 15 items, sadly could not compare with $14 for 10 items the very next day at TJ's. Whole Foods does has a certain je nais c'est quoi, however I will be saving it for "specialties" and heading to Trader Joes for most of my groceries from now on. I have never had more consistent amazing customer service at any grocery store! Trader Joe's (especially this MG location) is AWESOME. Here are a few reasons why: 1- They have the neatest frozen foods selection. Fire roasted pepper combination? Perfect for omelets or fajitas without the hassle of individually cutting up 3-4 peppers. 2- Enchiladas. Stuffed shells. Stir fry. Frozen leeks. Indian vegan burgers. Red pepper and tomato boxed soup. Green salsa verde. Greek yogurt. Yogurt parfaits. I know I am missing a ton of their neat stuff but these are just a few of my personal favorites off the top of my head. It's ALL delicious. 3- They have crumpets!!! Which isn't an easy find at regular grocery stores. 4- Large selection of artisan cheeses for all of your fancy culinary desires or party needs. 3- Affordable. You seriously cannot believe how much stuff you can pack into your cart or basket for a mere $40! It's incredible. 5- The wine/beer shop attached. Still lovin' the $3 buck chuck! 6- The PEOPLE. I have never met nicer, happier staff at any grocery-like store. They are so helpful, friendly, AND fast! It really makes me ENJOY coming to Trader Joe's and I go out of my way to do so. read more
