this store is privately owned. It is fast becoming my favorite cub foods, because they always support my non-profit every year, without question. They also have the best bakery donuts that are hands down better than Hyvee. In fact, the volunteers in our organization actually request that we buy from this cub foods! read more

Shopped here for the first time yesterday since I was in the area. My usual Cub that I favor is Crystal, Brooklyn Center and Fridley, in that order. I've tried other Cubs too but I haven't like them as much. This one was just as good as my three favorites with ample parking, good selection of produce and meats. Nice! read more

Went in for the typical bonfire must haves; S'mores, firewood, and a lighter. I did not visit the deli or meat department on my visit. I had called this store before I arrived to see if they had something in stock. The personnel at the service desk had answered my call, I asked if they had something in stock, but immediately cutting me off, they started listing what department I wanted to be directed to. I was inquiring if something was in stock and was unsure what department to be directed to. Then they started listing off again, this time in an annoyed/condescending tone. I was then directed to general merchandise to where my question was answered quickly and promptly. While in the store, I found what I was looking for pretty easily. The store was clean and organized. I only had a handful of items so I decided to use the self checkout. While checking out the system was slow and glitchy and I needed to have the attendant come and assist. The attendant was quick and friendly to help. I believe first impressions are extremely important, and when the first point of contact is met in an unfriendly manner it leaves (I believe) anyone feeling annoyed/upset. Being new to the area I wasn't sure to make of Cub. They are definitely priced higher than other local stores but they have a good selection. Today I tried the sushi for lunch. As a native Californian who could resist the California box. I should of :). The sushi isn't great and although it tastes fresh, I tasted it throughout the remainder of the day. I will likely try my luck in the future at Aldis, Hyvee or Trader Joe's. read more

Lately they have been struggling to keep things in stock. They are out of soy milk, taco sauce, Listerine mouth wash, etc. I'm not sure who is in charge of their inventory, but they need to work on improvements. It's almost as if they wait until things are completely off the shelf before ordering more items. read more

The more my husband and I shop at Cub - Maple Grove, the more we find that our favorite items disappear from the shelves. Bull's-Eye Original Barbecue BBQ Sauce and BREATH SAVERS have disappeared from the store shelves for quite some time now. For a while now haven't been able to find Nescafe Taster's Choice; although after complaining, it was on the shelves again recently. Also, the sometimes-bought item, JENNIE-O® Turkey Franks, has now disappeared from the shelves. read more

One employe working at the meats corner followed me every time he saw me. I was not even done selecting the right package of meat for my puppies and immediately he rushed over to rearrange the packages. I told hI'm I was not done and he complained the customers picking and choosing all day long and he had to put things back in order. The first time he did this to me I gave him the benefit of the doubt thinking he was just having a bad morning. But he huffed and puffed and showed outright irritation to me two more times on two other occasions. Since then, I have avoided buying meat if I saw him running around the meat sections. But it shouldn't be like that for me as I am a customer. I should not have to be harassed by this man working there. What happened to customer service? the management here needs to retrain this employee for respecting the customers. Onto the pharmacy department, the pharmacist (Fatima was her first name) filled my prescription wrong. Then when I complained she said at first said the doctor filled the prescription wrong. I asked her to look at last month order and she resigned to correct my order. But then she told me to get out of the long drive by line and come back later cause she needed time to refill. she already had the additional tube of ointment in her hand yet she needed more time to refill. And during the whole incident, she kept asking what I used the prescription ointment fo. I mean like wtf, just fill the god damn prescription as it was her job. Stop asking me what I do with my prescription. Even if I came home and mix the ointment with rice and ate it what the f had anything to do with her. Stop trying to be a medical doctor. You're a pharmacist. I really wish there are kiosks that I could just order my prescriptions and the machines would spit out my orders like a red box movie rental machine. Then I won't have to deal with pharmacists trying to be medical doctors. Oh and this pharmacy at this cub location is horrible. Every time I come to pick up my prescriptions there are always something wron. I never had a smooth transaction here ever. read more

i've used the bathroom here several times and every time i do it's horrible. urine puddled on the floor, toilet paper all over the floor, even seen feces on the toilet seat. if they want to say they didn't know, half the time i've been in there theres an employee on the phone or using the bathroom in there and all this was the last time i went there, looks like they never clean it. if this is how they care about the bathrooms what about the rest of the store? read more

I haven't been to Cub for years since I like the 5% discount at Target and then got on the delivery bandwagon with Schipt and Coburns. Decided that I would try Cub today. Spent $625. (I really hate shopping - so I do it all at once). The ladies were soooooo nice! Signed me up for a Cub card and printed out coupons for me ($50) to use in the next two weeks. They were bound and determined to get us the discounts. Great customer service!! read more

I prefer Byerly's in nearly every way to Cub. Cub's bakery, deli and produce area look like a marketplace in Bangladesh compared to the Byerly's down the street. The place is packed with families who look like they were just featured on Extreme Home Makeover. Cub has two things going for it.... The prices and the self-checkout. Ok, and the fact that it isn't Rainbow. I guess that's three things. Skip this craphole and go support Byerly's. read more

I was rather disappointed when they stopped stocking the Vitamin C wafers :( What can I say about cub? Well how about they are rather average. They have a larger selection then Super Target, but not as well priced. Take their organic selection for example. Just because it is organic doesn't mean you have to mark it up 30%. Their ground turkey is a good example of a big mark up. At Target it is $5.50 for the extra lean, but at cub I can pay up to $7. I do love the self checkout..when I don't have produce or coupons. Otherwise the cashiers are rather friendly. There you have it. It's cub, not bear. They still have stuff to learn. read more

Ample parking, well-lot store, wide aisles, and a plethora of kids carts. My kids loved all the car options and landed on a race car cart. The prices seemed very average / on par for other large grocery chains. They offer a free "membership" that gives you various savings. They have a lot of self-checkout lanes with decent-length conveyor belts so you can actually check out with a full cart. Other grocery stores I've been to have self-checkout lanes but they only have space for 1-2 bags after you scan your items. The store is no-frills without a plus, carpeted artisan olive bar like other stores in the area. They do have a Dun Brothers Coffee inside the store. Overall, it's a decent store. I don't live in the area and likely won't be back but if the prices beat the more plush grocery stores, I'd make this my go-to. read more

This Cub has the worst customer service of ANY Cub I have been to. most of the check out ladies are RUDE, snotty, and a couple are just downright mean. I was in check out line behind a customer trying to use WIC but they didn't know how it really all worked so another employee came to help. After 10 minutes of waiting for them to figure out the customers savings, I hear them say they need to start over and ring 3 items at a time to show customer with WIC what is being discounted and how much. The employees then began apologizing TO THE WIC Customer about the wait, but not to us waiting in line!! The employee starts explaining to them that this process would take a bit but get the customer the best outcome. I then asked how long this "process"was going to take?. Both your employees gave me evil eye and said oh my gosh we are trying to fix this Ma'am! I responded with I just simply asked a question I have every right to ask! I was told we don't know but if you are in such a hurry you can change lanes!! I left and won't be back. read more

The food is priced to match the quality; good to mediocre but you know what you're getting. The parking is great, they have a coffee shop, and the drive up pharmacy is really convenient. Things can go downhill abruptly once you speak with (some of) the staff. About 25% of the time I have trouble at the pharmacy counter due to lack of knowledge or rude behavior. The service desk is also a cr*pshoot. Some days the staff are delightful, friendly and helpful. Other days, you get Wendy. Oh my God, no, not Wendy. She obviously hates working there and she wants to take it out on the customers. read more

Will never go back to this Cub --customer service was terrible, especially in their floral department. I went to get some balloons filled for a baby announcement, with 4 separate balloons to spell out "Baby". When filling the very first balloon, they put too much air in and popped the balloon, which was not able to be replaced as we had bought the balloons online specifically for pictures for our announcement. They began filling the rest of the balloons and attempted to "fix" the balloon that had burst, but were obviously unable to do so. Instead of offering some type of solution to the issue, they essentially wiped their hands clean; which would have been fine until they preceded to have me pay for the balloons that were not burst, which ended up being almost as much as we paid for the balloons (wouldnt have been a problem had we been able to use the balloons for our picture/announcement as planned). One of the associates was also pretty rude and not willing to help in the situation, though I tried to be understanding about everything. I let her know that I would pay, but would not ever be returning to that Cub again...Hope the money you got on filling my balloons was worth losing my business. read more

I went here early this morning around 12:30am and there was a very potent chemical smell which left my friend and I dizzy and feeling a little ill. When contacting the manager we didn't get a satisfactory response on the phone. If you're going to use a chemical like that, close your store and have workers wear a respirator. I probably won't go here again. At least not this location. read more
