If there were a perfect pharmacy, this would be it. I have used many pharmacies over the years -- Walgreens, Cub Foods, Allina, mom-and-pop shops, Walmart, United Hospital -- and none of them even come close to Hy-Vee Pharmacy. Walgreens was consistently out of stock, had extremely long wait times, didn't answer the phone, offered rude or unhelpful customer service, and made refunds nearly impossible. Hy-Vee is the complete opposite in every way. Hy-Vee is always in stock, or they will have the medication later the same day or early the next morning. The staff is incredibly kind, patient, and helpful every single time. There has never once been a line in the drive-thru when I've gone to pick up medication. If I need an early refill, they handle everything themselves -- they call the insurance, work it out quickly, and within about 15 minutes the medication is filled and ready for pickup. No stress, no runaround. I once asked if my son's medication could be put in a bottle that's easier to use with a syringe. They not only did it, they noted it on my account -- and they have done it correctly every single time since without me needing to ask again. That level of care is rare. Their free same-day delivery is exactly that -- same day, every time. I've never had a single issue that they couldn't fix or resolve, and they truly go above and beyond. They also have the best medication bottles of any pharmacy I've ever used. Hy-Vee Pharmacy has completely changed my expectations of what a pharmacy should be. I have never stepped foot into this store. The website was intuitive and easy to use. Prices on products were just the tiniest bit more expensive than the cheapest blue megastore near you. But the products are better and more reliable. When I completed my online order, I was able to choose whether substitutions for each individual item would be acceptable or not. This turned out to be a time saver in the long run. (The only star that I took off was because the store's inventory system cannot keep up with what is available.) I chose the delivery time. It arrived exactly when it was expected even though I did NOT tip up front. This should ALWAYS be the case! When the delivery came, all items were packed carefully. Cold items were separated. My only qualm with Hyvee is that their grocery prices (produce etc.) are not as competitive compared to Aldi's or Walmart but heck, their customer service and hot food selection definitely makes up for it. I have been to this location many a times and have always encountered the staff members to be super friendly and willing to go above and beyond to assist. Last time, I was there, I was looking for some particular sandwich buns and they were out and upon inquiring from the bakery, they asked me if I can wait and they'll bake some fresh ones! Never in a billion years you'll have that kind of a customer service experience at Walmart. Heck you would be fortunate to even find a Walmart associate in Walmart ;) Anyways, Hyvee's hot food, bakery and deli selections blows away the other big store competition hands down also! I ordered a Jucy Lucy hamburger with a side of onion rings instead of fries from the Wahlburgers restaurant inside the store. I worked late and had it delivered. I got straw onions instead. This is a garnish that you add to items like salads and a hamburger. These are not onion rings. Where are they? If I want onion rings I am not ordering from them again. Should have went somewhere else. Guess they must be saving food costs with a higher profit because do you think these weigh the same as onion rings? False advertising. This is referring to the aisles online system at the cottage grove Mn store. The last three time's I've picked up my order there, there is something either missing (that was forgotten) or in the last case, eggs that were broken and leaking onto other eggs. When I called the aisles on line phone, I was told that it would be Friday (two days) before I would get good eggs. I had to call the store manager whom, sent someone with new eggs right away. I know Walmart is cheaper but I don't want to shop there. So,,,, maybe I'll just take my business to Cub. I haven't decided yet. read more

Hy-Vee recently opened in Cottage Grove and it is fast becoming our favorite grocery store. There are so many options available to the customer, it could be a one stop shop. Yes they have groceries, but also bakery items, household items, freshly cooked meals, a pharmacy and more. Their prices seem reasonable and if you happen to purchase select items, you can save yourself some money on gas at their gas station. That is a real benefit! Some items that have really stood out to me is they have dry aged beef for sale. I am looking forward to purchasing one of their steaks and comparing that to a good steak at a restaurant. They also have fresh brisket for sale. I have never seen a fresh brisket available anywhere as they are usually frozen. For a guy that enjoys smoking brisket and making corned beef, this is exciting. I also like their cheese counter, bakery area, olive bar and meats. Their service has also been good. One thing that is different about this Hy-Vee compared to others we have visited is their bakery counter is HUGE. I think we'd like to try some of their made meals or even their market sometime. They always have coupons which is also nice. Hy-Vee will certainly be seeing more of us. read more

I had a small incident at the Hy Vee C store but still it needed to be mentioned. I did recive a reply in a timely fashion and was instructed to contact the main store. I did call and on the 31st and spoke to a store Mgr. I was assured I would recive a call back that day from Jazmin. Well again no call no nothing!! If you say you will do something do it. Or maybe they feel they have a very large percentage of the business in Cottage Grove and now they just talk and not follow thru, after all it's only one customer! read more

I love HyVee Rochester and Oakdale. I was thrilled when HyVee was opening in COttage Grove, MN. I talked with the store manager and several department managers. I have even talked to the company reps and department managers together to understand their product offerings. Since the opening, I have suggested several products for gluten free meals. I see many good additions to gluten free items in the stores I mentioned and I see items that my gluten free friends post from their stores in Lakeville and other locations. Cottage Grove continues to ignore my needs. I want to find Garaffalo and Braille gluten free pastas in this store. I want to find frozen gluten free pizzas that have sausage, mushrooms, green peppers, and onions. Some housekeeping items that I have noted in the store. 1 Noosa yogurt is consistently out of date. 2 There are frozen pizzas that contain wheat mixed in the same freezer as gluten free pizzas. 3 gluten free frozen cakes are in freezers with wheat-containing cakes. The department managers completely ignore the proper handling of gluten free items. 4 so much stuff in the isles! While I do find many of my staple items at this store, I have switched my main grocery shopping back to Lunds and Whole Foods. HyVee Cottage Grove is no longer my go-to market because they do not understand the needs of their customers and do not have an intention of learning. read more

Very nice and huge store that has everything you could think of. A Starbucks of course, a delicious and enormous bakery, a restaurant, a clinic if you're feeling ill and even a place to shop for clothes. I'm telling you, things are so organized too it's amazing. I can find things that my son of a million allergies can eat as well as my picky husband. There's always something new to try there. The store is huge and they have everything anyone would need. But both times I have been inside the store it has been very dirty. The floors were just a mess. It's a busy store and, unfortunately, the aisles are narrow which makes shopping rather unpleasant having to navigate around so many people. I didn't see that prices were all that great either but I did not do a hard comparison with other stores. There are so many more pleasant places to shop that I haven't been back after my second trip. read more

This Hyvee is intense. I'm used to our Oakdale location which I have found is the basics (and I prefer it that way). Try us one not only has groceries, a restaurant, liquor store, a bakery, great to-go food selection, the list goes on and on... but also has make your own smoothies and even goes as far to have a beauty bar and clothing. I find it almost overwhelming. But, the selection is out of this world, and things are fresh and clean. read more

Very nice grocery store lots of options. Has a mall food court feel with interesting areas to get Chinese or deli for example. I have shopped there a few times the prices seem to be higher the. Target and Walmart but lower then cub. So middle of the road win the price war on a few items and lose it on others. The restaurant is very nice looking a functional layout for customers. I will say prices a pretty good too. It seems there is not enough wait staff often gets busy and have to wait 30-40 minutes for a table but there's open tables just no servers to work that" area"! The food is good but tends to be plain. What I mean is no spices or own personal touch ingredients. If you order a burger it's very plain with cheese but no spices or signature style seasoning. It will be decent just plain. Overal it's a nice change of pace for the area with decent prices just would be nice to see them add more waiters and maybe season the food a bit to add more taste. read more

Thanks HyVee for saving my day! I had ordered a DQ cake for a bday party at noon tomorrow. I went to pick it up and even wondered if it would be ready as when I ordered it the guy seemed like he might mess it up. Well, he did mess it up and my cake wasn't ready and he was rude to me, blaming me that he didn't have the cake for me. I was in a bit of a panic! Your wonderful lady in the pink uniform was terrific! She was able to draw a gymnastic's figure on a balance beam onto an ice-cream cake! I got crap cuts of salmon today. 6 pieces and they happen to ALL be the end tail parts when there was a good portion of the nicer middle sections. I stopped at HyVee in Cottage Grove to pick up a quick bite to eat. I purchased a pint of an Asian entree. When the server dished it up I thought the container (a bowl) a little small and she only filled it 2/3 full but being unfamiliar with the container I felt the server knew what she was doing. I measured it when I got home and using my measuring cup it barely made it to 12 ounces and on the scale the net weight was 10.8 ounces. Taste was good but I thought it quite expensive for what I got. Server needs to be better trained as this is false advertising. Will definitely go elsewhere or else only buy by the pound. read more
