Ok ~ I love Aldi, and was so excited that they opened a store in Cottage Grove. I typically shop at the Woodbury location, but I've shopped at all of them within a 20 mile radius to CG. The layout in the Cottage Grove store is something they call "California." I'm not sure what the other stores are, but I have a much harder time finding things in Cottage Grove. They have made some recent changes to feature fresh produce and it's very nice. If I'm near the Woodbury store, I will always stop there because I am used to the Woodbury setup and it is similar to all the others and takes me less time (I hate grocery shopping). After that, I love the low prices, weekly features and daily specials. Veg and fruit are the bulk of my purchases and I seem to always find a nice deal. Not all items are the lowest price, but the bulk of it is. I do however love the customer service at Cottage Grove! They are always friendly and very helpful, almost as happy to be there, as I am to have them here. I also appreciate NO coupons. I hate coupons and Aldi does not have coupons! I always feel like I'm getting a good deal and to boot, if you can get a cart from a customer returning a cart you don't have to mess with the pesky 2 bit coin lock! (That always makes my day.) read more
