After having had an extremely late lunch on a Sunday, in early August, in Oakdale, I needed a Trader Joe's. In the Twin Cities, I have only been to the ones in Eagan (my usual) and Bloomington. It was time to find a new one. I did a search and found this one in Woodbury. This store is in a plaza that had a lot of cool stores that I need to visit. Everything looked so new to me that I already liked being here. It was easy finding this Trader Joe's and backed into a spot steps away from the main entrance. I walked over. I got a small cart and proceeded to shop. It's a cheerful store. Rose plants and watermelons immediately greeted me. This store had squiggly noodles and chilli onion sauce. It was almost as if it were targetting me exclusively. I got the former, but skipped the latter. It was tempting to get both. The condiments were incredible. I saw corn and chile salsa. I was only in town for a few days, so I didn't get any either. I was here to get everything bagel seasoning and got a couple of bottles. Nearby were syrup, pancake and waffle mixes, and more. I was happy seeing everything. I saw japchae in the frozen food section. I had to get it. I also got my usual potstickers. I went with chicken this time. My usual is also getting lemons and some frozen treat. Meyer lemons are sweeter than your typical lemons and I like them. I got these mini hold-the-dairy ice cream cones. I could have bought more frozen items, from root beer float bars, to ube ice cream. I was only here for a few days, so I'll need to get them next time. I had the nicest woman at the checkout area. We chatted as she bagged my groceries. I paid with a credit card. Done! I thanked the woman and headed to my car with my bag of groceries. She was so efficient that she fit everything in a large paper bag with handles. A few quick reviews on products that I had the first time: - The squiggly noodles were chewy. I enjoyed them. They needed more flavour than the flavour packets, though. I recommend getting something spicy. That chilli onion sauce would have done the trick. - The japchae was delicious! It tastes authentic. You heat it up in the microwave and you're set. - I highly recommend the hold-the-dairy mini ice cream cones. They are small, but so satisfying. I got my chocolate-vanilla fix. The crunchy cone sealed the deal. I had a great experience at this Trader Joe's. I look forward to returning to check out the other stores in this plaza and return to this one for my grocery needs. Stopped in Friday evening around 8:00pm. Specifically for hand sanitizer as I ran out at dinner (literally minutes before I arrived, haha). I love TJ's spray hand sanitizer and the price is such a bargain. Right when my bestie and I walked in the door, we spotted the famous O&H Kringle's. The PECAN flavor is one of the BEST. I travel to see family in Racine and always stop to get these, but now that TJ has them, I can maybe get one in a pinch (only incase of a Kringle emergency). I love their selection of flowers and my bestie was SO sweet and bought me flowers for my birthday. Almost a week later, they look just as fresh as the evening I got them. This is my favorite TJ's location and time of day to get my shopping done as it's not busy and I'm able to actually look around if I decide to. The associate helping us at checkout was friendly and made small talk. Store was clean and being restocked. In the future, I'll be back. Only suggestion- it would be very nice if the outside parking lot had increased lighting as it's very dark.

6/1/22: Edited to add...after our flight got cancelled, we were heading back to our friends' house. Needed dinner ingredients. I called TJ's from the airport and Amy set aside impossible burger to start thawing out for us. Then when we got there, roasted potatoes were out of stock & she found one hidden bag for us! Thank you, Amy, for the hook up, hugs & 5 star service! We'll come here every time we're in town (we came here 4 times in a week)! Side note: I'll never move to a city without a TJ's! This location ROCKS!! Amy ROCKS!! Xoxo 5/30/22: Normally, my biggest complaint about TJ's is that their parking lot is so god=awful tiny (our car has been hit in another TJ's) or they're out of stock of everything. This location exceeded our expectations with a newly paved parking lot with plenty of spots and we found everything we needed. Wherever we go, be it locally or on vacay, we always need and want a TJ's to stop at for our staples. This location didn't disappoint! The workers are all within TJ's fashion, friendly and happy. Plenty of cashiers working, so the two times we stopped by in less than a week, we had no line. We actually came in on Memorial Day, and while it was packed, everything was in stock and there was no line. This is actually one of the best TJ's we've been to. Anytime we're in town visiting our friends, this will be our #1 first go to stop to stock up on our snacking essentials! This is an easy 5 stars and beyond!

Despite no grump trees, they had this beautiful ivy wreath that comes with a string of fairy lights!($10)

Love this TJ's location! The employees are so helpful, and even the customers are nice! I love the Pimento Puffs and the Cornbread bites! They are seriously addictive. So is the Step Up To The Bar Snack Mix. I stock up on La Colombe Peppermint Mocha this time of the year. Much cheaper to buy 4 from TJ's($9+) than purchasing on Amazon($13). Tried the Turkey Gobbler wrap, it was meh. I was expecting more cranberries. Next time I'll purchase one the the Cranberry sauce tubs to dip it in. The Rainbow Wrap thoughDelicious! It's so colorful too! If anything has been a disappointment, it's that Grump trees are flying off the shelves! Gone the same day they came in. Get them while you can folks!

Can you say "pumpkin"? If you can & you love it, you have to stop at TJ soon. Not pictured were the Pumpkin Spiced Pumpkin SEEDS-the bag didn't even make it to the next day (they were so good). Originally I came into this store in the hopes that they would have the frozen rice cakes Korean Tteokbokki (yes they did & yes you have to try them if you like spicy Korean tteokbokki). You can also buy here a 1/2 dozen large organic eggs for $2.99

They have some great convenience food kind of things (like mandarin chicken and burritos). I like the organic options too. Every time I go in there, they have some kind of tasty sample to try. I don't ever shop dairy or meat here. They seem pretty expensive in that arena. Where they shine is the frozen foods section, snacks and baking mixes, etc. It's a small store so you won't always find what you are looking for and you can't really do ALL of your shopping here because they lack a lot of everyday staples but for a quick dinner idea and in and out quick, this is the place. The people that work there are always pleasant and cheerful. It's always busy and crowded but there never seems to be a long line to check out. Lots of parking close to the building too. Oh, and if you want to get some fresh flowers for your sweetheart, this is a good place for it. I was fortunate to receive flowers from here quite often back when I had a steady.

Cute posting at the entrance.

Yes yes I still feel very strongly about loving HyVee…read more TOP quality FRUITS and vegetables -- bananas especially tasty and last almost a full week BIG daily restocked selection of nice green generous sized fruit. LOVE love SUMO ORANGES - - my most favorite of all fruit. We lived last 5 years in Florida ( moved back to MN in January) and had incredible fruit / became enamored especially with the deep especially juicy rich flavor of the Sumo orange. There's nothing like them. Now can't eat other oranges- - nothing compares, highly addictive! Amazing with bananas and sweet pineapple cut up and eaten with 4 % milk fat cottage cheese with a generous teaspoon of mayo on top of the cottage cheese. Amazing! Fresh fruit and fresh veggies provide our bodies with the VERY best nutrients and vitamins of all other food groups. Steaming not boiling veggies also preserve the highest level of vitamins. ( Dad was a Prof of Biochemistry at a med school.). We are basically what we eat. Fresh meat fresh chicken fresh seafood cooked at home are the most nutritious way of eating . Vitamin A found in the greatest level in fresh apricots and beet green tops helps fight and prevent cancer. Lunds is a gorgeous store but way way too expensive for me. Target is a great option for super low prices but stock/ variety are VERY limited and fruits veggies are extremely limited/ manhandled a lot by customers. Flavor is lacking in potatoes yams and in a lot of Targets fruit which is picked when green. Target runs after the cheapest resource. Their quality is not great. Then CLEANLINESS is essential to me. HyVee aces this. I love the WIDE spacious aisles, the extremely high ceilings and non glaring softer lighting. Thus you have a calmer more relaxed ambiance - - rare today in grocery stores. I come EVERY week here. Their daily sales on beef chicken and pork in special cases, some seasoned thus ready to cook, are excellent FRESH QUALITY! GREAT SALE PRICES too. Their homemade giant variety of FRESH BRATS are pure heaven - - cheddar and original are my FAVORITES! Their " drug store". Cosmetics Liquor store and kitchen dining products are beautiful with a wonderful selection. GIANT selection of tiny hand held liquor bottles at $.99 each too! ENJOY!!!!!!

I haven't been to this location since last year, something must have changed with management…read more They didn't bag our groceries, there were carts in the isles with no one even stocking shelves, deli guy acted like he had better things to do than help me. Am I missing something here? I don't live in the area. I don't even live in the state. However, I…read moresaw a few reviews that captured my attention and I wanted to see for myself. I truly wanted to try the pre-made foods. We walked in and the lights were dimmed. It felt more like I was walking into an art gallery than an Asian grocery store. No one shouting. No funky smells. The produce section was what I walked into first. I was met with 4 green onions, 2 onions, a bag of bean sprouts, and a few fruits but all the produce were all wilted. At least everything else was neatly organized. Then we went to the sauce area, then to the ramen, then to snacks and so forth. All the products were at least 25% or more, higher in price than what's available in the grocers in St. Paul. Yes, you're paying more for the ambiance. Make the drive over to the hundreds of other Asian grocery stores there. I don't even live close and I make the effort to do my big grocery shopping in St. Paul for the price and variety. Anyway, I didn't see any or much SE Asian grocery items that would help me cook my dishes. Most items were catered to East Asian cuisine. Their precooked food area was sad. The pre-cooked rice looked mushy. The breads were dried and flaky. Disappointed to say the least. As an Asian person, I wouldn't frequent the establishment even in desperate times.

I was making ramen from the first time and needed a few specialty ingredients that I haven't used…read morebefore. I was thrilled to see that there is an Asian grocery in Woodbury and it's just down the road from Costco. So I gassed up with some cheap fuel, bought a vacuum that I probably don't need (Costco, amiright?) and swung into United Noodles with my ramen recipe. The store is immaculate and well organized. The woman working the counter was super helpful and showed me where all my ingredients were located. They have an impressive selection of Asian and Hawaiian brands. I'm looking forward to shopping here more often!
