Their frozen food section was also quite large compared to standard grocery stores. They carry fresh produce as well! On the way out, there was a large sign saying this is an employee-owned company. That's pretty neat I'm not handing my money to a large faceless corporation, but to a consortium of employees. My family has been shopping at Trader Joe's for over 10 years across the US. We have brought our children to Trader Joe's and employees have been professional, relaxed, and positive. Until recently. My wife shopped at this Trader Joe's to do her usual shopping when a cashier asked her if she was sick. My wife is of a certain country of origin (hint: not China). Had the cashier known my wife, she would have found out that my wife is a United States citizen and hasn't visited her country of origin in years. I understand that global issues are now starting to worry people at home, but Trader Joe's employees should leave their prejudice in the trash. read more

Despite the bustling crowds, Trader Joe's never ceases to amaze with its super swift checkout process. The staff remains consistently efficient, ensuring customers don't wait in line for extended periods. The weight machine at her register was not working, and Stephanie was trying to figure out what was causing the problem. Despite the situation and the growing line of customers, she remained calm and professional. She did not allow her frustration to show or create any negative atmosphere for the customers. I want you to know that Stephanie's calm and positive demeanor made a real difference to me. Honestly, because of the way she handled the situation, I decided not to leave my shopping cart and take my business to another store. I also want to recognize Kyle who provided me with excellent help in the bulk section. I was looking for oat bran and some other ingredients, and this gentleman took the time to help me understand the labels on the bulk items. He also explained that I could have an item ordered by the case if I needed that quantity. He didn't have to go out of his way to help me, but because he was observant and attentive, he noticed that I needed assistance and helped me find what I was looking for--and even gave me additional information that was very helpful. Please let both of them know that their kindness, attentiveness, and willingness to help were noticed and genuinely appreciated.

When I enter the store, I noticed that the ceilings were high and painted white. I also enjoyed all the natural light that poured in from the front windows. I was greeted and welcomed by several employees. The Starbucks department was located to my right upon entering. There was an inviting seating area with large windows. To my left was the gorgeous Floral department. They had lots of fresh bouquets, arrangements and plants to choose from. This location also offers fresh sushi made on site. I asked them to make a vegetarian roll to my specifications and they gladly did. It had carrots, cucumber, and avocado inside with both types of sauce and crunchy topping. It was delicious! They also ran an ad in the liquor department for several popular and coveted liquors. They had several cases of Blantons. They also had EH Taylor for $30 a bottle and Tito's vodka for $20 a bottle and so much more! The whole store was absolutely beautiful! You could tell the entire Store team put every ounce of their passion into this grand opening. I would like to give a special shout out to the Produce department. Their department looked spectacular and their wet rack was set beyond perfect. The attention to detail doesn't compare to any I've seen before. Please see Video below. I also enjoyed that they had several vendors talking about their products and handing out samples. Because I was one of the first 300 customers to make a purchase in the store I got a goodie bag full of fantastic items and also picked up several free samples throughout the store. Great job!

The walkways were also quite narrow, especially between aisles. The store is laid out similar to other supermarkets, with the specialty areas like the deli and butcher along the outer walls. I did walk by the deli and notice they do not have Boar's Head products...which is definitely my brand of preference for cured meats and cheeses. I also didn't see any spectacular deals on any products...being a Grand Opening I was expecting lower prices on something I that would tempt a purchase. I'll have to come back here once the crowds die down and really look for some unique products I can't find at the other neighboring stores. Otherwise, I likely won't become a Safeway regular.
