I adore TJoes! I was always too intimated to shop here because of there rumored high prices.... well let me just say that's soooo not the case. Being 21 and receiving the normal 21 years olds pay check and, spending $100 on 2 bags of groceries isn't exactly ideal! Tjoes has the best prices on what I like (cant speak for everything). They have my seaweed snacks (1$) kettle corn(1$) canned salmon(1$+) These super yummy grilled chicken patties (3$) lobster bisque (3+) common people! Beats the heck outta stop and shop and at least you know you getting quality food. On top of what your spending the staff have always been super friendly and helpful and the store is spotless. CONS: Good luck finding reasonable parking * The lines sometimes!!! So this is a "posh"county, and some of my fellow county mates are to damn "posh" to bag there on darn groceries.......the registers only but so big! read more

Yay, I love this store! Clean, well-organized, and with a very friendly staff. You just can't beat their prices, even on organic items. I do about half of my weekly grocery shopping here, and things like their Organic Soy milk are at least a dollar cheaper than big name grocery stores. You can always find an inexpensive "treat" item, like Tortilla chips made with flax seeds, or chocolate covered-soy beans. Kudos to them for always having vegan ice cream in stock, even if it is always the same flavor (cherry-chocolate chip). Adore this place - it's a staple for my grocery shopping! read more

Personally I'm not a huge trader joes fan. I find their food quality to be cheap for the price you pay. I do however love their floral department. I've gotten quite a few bouquets that have lasted longer than big box supermarket bouquets. I do also enjoy their little sample bar in the back if the store. Their frozen garlic naan is pretty yummy - would have never tried it had it not been for their sample. My daughter loves their Peach Juice and their Cherry Cider. Overall I come here if I'm passing by. read more

Right over the NY border off I-84, this outpost is an average suburban TJ. New Yorkers will find it excitingly spacious. Nutmeg Staters will complain about the cramped parking. (Tip: Skip the shared parking in front and go around to the side lot.) The staffers are nice if not enthusiastic, and all departments are well stocked. What a treat to find a TJ's on our way home from Boston. I am such a repressed TJ's fan for soo many years. When I was living in California, TJ's were everywhere and they had some great stuff, but I stopped going to TJ's altogether b/c of their terrible parking situations .... yes I will stop going to a store based on their parking lots. What can I say? I never knew that I was claustrophobic until I entered a TJ's. Anyways, I did not feel the same, here at the Danbury location. The parking lot was more than spacious and it wasn't too crowded here. I stocked up on some of their goodies... dark chocolate covered raisins, wasabi peas, and some Vitamin C supplements ; ) I could go on and on about the unusual goodies at TJ, but you can check it out yourself.. if you happen to live near one. This is a great place to shop if you have diet allergies or restrictions and lots of veggie/vegan options .. not to mention a little cheaper than Whole Foods read more

Who doesn't love TJay's? It's an awesome store for the individual who's trying to eat with as little processing as possible. Friendly and informative, I love how the staff continues to populate the shelves non-stop. I rarely see most markets operate with such friendly efficiency. From the 3rd party to 1st party products, everything is so damn good! I'm never disappointed with the selections and my only issues, the damn lines. But what can you do to alleviate such issues...in store pickup? Now that would be nice. Allow me to order online and pick up my order in 30...innovation lol read more

One of the nicer specialty stores I've been to. Produce wasn't too bad decently priced and seem to be rotated often. This particular store seem to be a little smaller but had plenty of help around in case you needed it. Cashiers were very friendly and definitely knew all the items in the store and we're glad to recommend personal likes and something that would add to your experience. read more

Second impression: damn there are so many people in here I can't even move my cart around. Third impression: pretty cheap prices for pretty good food. Since I go grocery shopping at Whole Foods, and Trader Joe's is a little out of my way, but they have this really awesome Lebkuchen cookies for 2.99 USD for an entire pack that you can easily consume in one sitting, and is 25 percent nuttier! And the Lebkuchen cookies at Whole Foods are like 24-29 USD a tin, which I think is just ridiculously over priced and so not worth it! So it's a no brainer! Go get your Lebkuchen german cookies fix at Trader joes's! That and I love their (TRADER JOE's) organic frozen pizza. It's a single size that you can actually finish so don't have to worry about portions. They even have german stollen cake! So just for these Christmas season goodies, I am going to have to commute weekly! They also have very kind, friendly and helpful staff serving us there. So all in all, I am always making an effort to go there a few times a year, but now with the Christmas season cookie selection, I am going to have to make more frequent visits! read more

They are KILLIN IT with the covid protocol.... everyone is wearing masks, they're keeping traffic minimal inside the store, they got sanitizer all over the place, arrows in the isles to avoid being "that guy," and as always their crew is chill and conscientious. Honestly I've stopped shopping anywhere else for food cuz TJs has set the bar so high for a stress-free experience during this horror show of a pandemic. And I'm pretty sure their pork and ginger soup dumplings cured me when I came down with the virus.... obviously I'm no epidemiologist but they should look into those dumplings cuz there's something magical going on with those glorious broth balloons. read more

I travel from Hopewell Jct in Dutchess County to the Trader Joes in Hartsdale because of their Peach Bellinis. Danbury doesn't have the liquor license so no Bellinis. They also have strawberry / raspberry , grapefruit and coconut mango Bellinis Only five percent alcohol. It's 94 miles round trip for me but I just love gifting n introducing Bellinis to friends and family. They are opening a Trader Joes in Yorktown later this month but unfortunately will not be carrying my Bellinis. Bummer. I also love their crinkle potato chips that are quite sturdy and delish. Most other brands bother my tummy but whatever oil they are cooked in suits me just fine. The dunker biscotti in clear plastic tubs are to die for too. I researched TJs and was surprised to find they started in 1967 in San Bernardino Ca and their philosophy of customer happiness and satisfaction as a goal has never wavered. The staff is attentive pleasant and helpful. I went to Hartsdale the sat before mothersday and it was swamped , especially their flower section but lines moved smoothly and I was amazed at how many cashiers they employed . I buy at least ten Bellinis when I go because of distance and gas prices but it's all worth it. I'll get my non Bellini favorites in Yorktown when they open and that will save me at least fifty miles. Love them and glad they are here to stay. Don't go on Saturday unless you have no other choice. It's an absolute zoo and some of the animals are aggressive and obnoxious. Unfortunately there were some very pushy and self-absorbed customers including a few who were inconsiderately blocking access to wide areas of food display cases while gabbing on their cell phones for very long stretches of time. Every worker here is super joyful and friendly! I've been going here for 15+ years and never have had a bad experience here! Everyone is so willing to help you. When I go shopping with kids there's always a working asking if I need help to the car, I've never been to another supermarket where that's offered. If I were just rating this location and its staff, I would give it 5 stars. One of the nicest, most helpful stores I've every seen (and I include the other Trader Joe's in that comparison.) As to the products - good variety and outstanding prices for organic and often hard-to-find foods. Good produce, both organic and regular. Dropping one star just for product labeling. Some of their foods are made out of the USA, but they don't label the country of origin because the foods were processed or packaged here. I would like to know whether a food came from Asia or North America or whatever, thus the slight quibble. Still, this is one of the nicest, cleanest, friendliest stores you'll find in the area! read more

recently moved to Danbury, and trader joe's was one of the closest grocery stores. The store is smaller than other chain store that I used to go to, BUT they have everything that I need for daily bases. the produce are fresh, and fully stocked. My recent trip to the store, egg was one of the items that I purchased. The cashier, during check out, kindly reminded me if I have checked the eggs, make sure its not cracked and be surprised at home. This kind of reminder made me feel like they do value their customer! The staff there is friendly! check out process is fast.I love shopping there, will continue to shop at the store. read more

Parking makes the shopping experience trying. It is difficult to get in and out of a car without hitting the side of the neighboring car. This is not the practice at Stew Leonards, Stop and Shop, or Costco. In fact Trader Joe's is the ONLY store with such difficult parking. read more

Super nice staff. Good door and great prices for what you are getting. We use to go shopping at A and P and we spent $135 a week for food. We spend $85 at trader joes and get good that is better for you to eat. Go early in the am the shelves are fully stocked and no crowds. read more

I've been coming here weekly for years. I am consistently impressed by the quality, freshness, and low price of the food, as well as the friendliness, eagerness to help, and over all knowledge of EVERYONE they hire. One of the guys who works there, Lance, is even a professionally trained chef. Every time I ask anyone there where something is, they stop what they're doing and walk me over to it, or go in the back and get it for me. Every time I ask anyone there what they think of a product, they can give me first hand knowledge about it and how to make it, etc. They hire professionals who care about what they do and how their clients are treated! Look this is a great Trader Joe's but like all of them it has one big problem:Logistics. Two aspects: one, they always but always have run out of something you need no matter the time of day. (Last time: went in for 6 items , came out with 3-my coffee- out of stock;frozen broccoli florets- out of stock ; mini artichoke hearts-out of stock. ) One reason is they got no storage space at all in back, you can see that . But lots of companies manage just-in-time about 5000% better than TJs. Gets people upset and irritable , not a good goal for a retailer these days. The second aspect is discontinuing items you just love. No warning. No notice like hey buy a bunch o this now cause this is outta here. Just gone. I don't think they realize how angry this makes people who are otherwise regular customers. Puts me off going back sometimes for a month or two. Lost sales. And it sends their clients right into the arms of the regular grocers, who at least in Danbury, it must be said, do a pretty good job at providing what they provide consistently. NEWS UPDATE: Fage large yoghurts now eliminated. So they want you to buy their TJ Greek style but thinner and sourer brand. Bad move TJ!!!! Another reason I now have to go down the road. NEWS UPDATE 2: the frozen boxes of microwaveable packets of rice: great idea and I regularly bought some . Now the Rice Medley version, a unique favorite ,is gone. Goodbye TJ.
