Trader Joe's in Chatsworth is always a solid stop. The store is clean from front to back. No weird smells. No cluttered aisles. The floors are spotless and the displays look like someone actually cares. Even the carts are stacked right. The staff? All good vibes. Friendly, helpful, and laughing with each other like it's not a shift but a hangout. You don't feel rushed or ignored. You feel seen. Products are stocked and rotated well. I still keep coming back to Trader Joe's on a regular basis. And why not? They have an eclectic choice of items, with or without their in house label, all of which are high quality. Selections in categories are limited. So in essence, if your palate has a wide spectrum of tastes, you will not find all of it here. Trader Joe's is good for selected stuff. In this realm, they also have the knack to stock items (and in forms that are useful) or unique (mini ice cream cones), at home or the kitchen. If there is a popular healthy fad, chances are Trader Joe's will have a version of it. if not, immediately, it will be there soon. They have a nice variety of salads to go, breads (adore their Demi baguette), fruit (like their grapes, blueberries), vegetables (amazing tomatoes) and numerous ethnic frozen meals and dishes, to name a few. I always buy my whole milk here, it seems to last the longest (without spoiling), compared to its competitors. Good Kaffir, European yoghurt and popular local and foreign cheeses (Pecorino Romano, in grated form). But I am not fond of their meats, or its selection, so I never get it here. I drive further to come here. Closest one to me is in Granada Hills. This store appears to be managed very well. From an In Stock, Service, Friendly and Kind Associates. This location is great. I always find this location very well stocked and organized. Everything is fresh and at a great value. I usually grab the essentials. Meat, produce, coffee and bread. Tonight, I received exceptional service from cashier Tati. I was waiting in line. She pulled me from the line. She asked if I had checked my eggs for cracks. Nobody does that. That's next level care and service. That's the difference between a cashier at Target and a Trader Joe's cashier. I looked at Tati double bag my groceries and just took her time with extra care. This is absolutely what I expect from Trader Joe's. This is likely why they're taking so much market share from their competitors. From a very appreciative customer. Decided to drop by on the way home and tried a different location since the one near us has the worst parking!! We walked in and it was definitely a bigger Trader Joe's. At least it felt like it was. The parking here is also HUGE. We were only here to pick up some of their coconut yuzu sparkling water and restock some of our favorite frozen items like the orange chicken and garlic noodles. We ended up finding other stuff to try like an orange chicken bowl and vegetable panang curry! I'm literally gobbling up the curry right now as I'm typing this. Incredibly delicious and they do not skimp out on the sauce. Perfect serving size and fantastic flavor, like a real Thai restaurant. Panang is my all time favorite Thai curry and I'm super happy with this!! We also picked up a crazy looking orchid (one of my friends said it looked like meat LOL) for my mom as a valentines gift. Definitely a better Trader Joe's location and the staff were as friendly as ever. One of them even talked about dogs and we told him about our little guy and then another worker guy commented on my FFXVI keychains on my bag!! So awesome. A Trader Joe's with a functioning parking lot... Like O.O why isn't this closer to my house, because I don't want to walk I want to run inside here and never leave! The TJ's of Chatsworth is worth the trip! Possibly the most spacious location in Los Angeles... Not even close to small if you've been to a T. Joe's... With wide and I mean wide isles, great full shelves, friendly people and even friendlier TJ's crew. I always manage to get what I need when on this side of the valley and usually discover something new to try that I don't always find at my local store in Sherman Oaks. Produce gets shopped pretty hard here, which can make a weekend trip a little bit of a journey as they may be low or out of stock for a day or so, but if you're lucky enough to encounter employees on the floor, you might get a get recommendation for something you didn't expect to get like a new sauce, dip or veggie blend of sorts. Love the wine selection (in the back) as well as the craft beer, spirits and everything in-between for adult beverages. Cold and frozen stuff is in the middle like all locations, but the constantly are improve the functionality of how products are laid out. Like most Trader J's it get busy here inside and outside the store... It feels like a walk through the park however if you've been to more challenging ones with those impossible lots and narrow lines that dip into isles. read more

First time coming to this Chatsworth location, by far one of my favorite Trader Joe's. I came around 3:30pm and they still have everything packed, fruits, veggies, meat and even eggs (which is almost impossible to find at trader). The staff is very friendly, nice and helpful when you need something. The store is kept clean and the staff is always around. The only thing they were short on were flowers. Trader Joe's is my favorite grocery store. The store itself is always clean and nice, the staff is friendly and helpful as well, happy to work there it seems. Trader Joe's is more of a specialty Grocer, but their prices are excellent, many time less expensive than a regular grocery store for the same or better quality items. I love looking for new finds when I go. Some of my go to items are their orange chicken of course, their vegetable fried rice, teriyaki chicken, the garlic Naan and regular Naan, various frozen Indian foods, organic apple sauce, organic Romaine lettuce, organic carrots, Plantain chips, organic tortilla chips, walnuts, peanuts, sunflower seeds and the list goes on and on. Really I could list 95% of their items as great, very few things I have found that are not just amazing. My latest find though is their Zhong Sauce, it is a spicy herb-based sauce with Middle Eastern roots. Made with cilantro, canola oil, jalapeño peppers, chile flakes, garlic, cardamom, sea salt, and cumin seeds. It's vibrant and full of flavor, like a chimichurri sauce, is what I can compare it to. You need to try it! I assume most people already know and shop at Trader Joe's, so maybe this is not that helpful or needed. But for those who do not shop there, maybe thinking it is too pricey, do yourself a favor and go check it out, you will fall in love. For those already shopping there, next time you visit, try something new, you probably will find a new favorite, if not, they are very good about returning or exchanging. Enjoy! read more

This is the first TJ location that I was WOWED. It is spacious enough that you are not elbow to elbow with other shoppers. As we know most TJ's are always busy and are compact stores. I took time to look at their products and checked out every aisle. Breads and frozen food are my go to products to purchase here. I am amazed how they man the registers, they make sure that every shopper is happy and catered fast. I haven't seen any long lines yet like you see in a lot of grocery chain stores. Parking is shared with other stores. It gets busy but be patient and you'll find one. read more

My wife and I stopped by this Trader Joe at first to just use the bathroom. But once we got inside of the store, we were interested in what they had here. We don't usually shop at Trader Joe's but we were intrigued. They have some nice selection of cheese, meats, cereal and produce but it's higher price than other stores. In the end we decided that we didn't really need anything here that we could get at another store for less the price so we just left. read more

HONEST team and HONEST customer. I accidentally left my iPhone 16 in the bathroom. I realized it some 10 minutes later, but the phone was no longer there. I went to the service desk, and the personnel immediately double-checked the bathroom. I went back to the service desk right in time for another team member to come with my phone; it turned out a customer found it. THANK YOU, honest person. So grateful for these honest people. Today was a rough day for me. Sometimes random strangers can leave an impression on you and brighten your day by the smallest gestures. I went to this Trader Joe's to pick up some things for dinner. I was hoping if I kept busy it would keep my mind off things. The cashier asked me how my day was going. I told him unfortunately it was a hard day. I was at one of the saddest and most tragic funerals of a friend and coworker of mine. He told me he was sorry and then he stepped away from the register for a minute and came back and handed me a beautiful bouquet of flowers and told me that he was sorry for my loss and hope these make your day a little better. To a total stranger.... Thank you for your kindness. It did brighten my day. Random acts of kindness go a long way. I do know a lot of employees at this store because I frequent it. And they are all so nice and have great customer service but this particular employee I have seen but never encountered. You all are awesome. read more

Today's visit to the Chatsworth Trader Joe's started off kind of scary. You see I am disabled. I use a cane/walker to get around and am pretty slow doing it. The Trader Joe's doors shut on me because I was standing there to pick up the wheelchair shopping cart. I was startled and called out to the staff to help me! They told me that it's closing because I'm standing there. Ok, thanks for the information but an offer of assistance would have been nice too. As I standing there with a cane in my hand and the doors are hitting me. If I moved too fast I would've ended up on the floor. Anyway, I finally got on after being battered by the door a couple of times and finished my shopping. If I was an able bodied person I would have left to shop elsewhere but I needed my items so I went on with it. I got my things, went to the register, paid and was told that someone would follow me out to return the seated shopping cart. It was a load off because then I did not have to worry about getting it back inside the store. Here's comes the good part! A manager named Stacy followed me out to return the cart. She asked me where I want my groceries and if my car was open! I was shocked and so pleased. She was kind enough to put the heavy stuff on the floor of my backseat. I thank her and told her how much I appreciate her acts of service. It's really difficult to be disabled in this world. Stacy was just supposed to get the cart back but her act of service made my day! Thank you, Stacy! I hope Trader Joe's has more empathetic employees like you!! read more

I suffered ANTI SEMITISM by a cashier today I know this in no way represents what TRADER JOES stands for or what the management ever condone. I really hope you guys see this review and do something about it . Today at approximately at 2:30 PM at the Canoga Avenue cashiers check out register me and my four year old daughter faced blatant racism. I informed the manager, and I truly hope he educates this person on the dangerous rhetoric she is contributing to. We love TRADER JOES as a family and especially this location as our home location. Whoever does the hiring at this store deserves all the praises of the entire town! The staff here are all so friendly, helpful, upbeat and NICE. We all know the food is great and the prices are great. So I just want to say this store stands out in a chain of stores that usually has such great people. I swear - these people give me hope for humanity. Honestly. I'm not sure what else I can add, I just want to say I really really appreciate these people. It cannot be easy to be consistently so NICE and engaging all the time- but these people are every single time. I am lucky to live in Chatsworth and this is my "home store" As I have aged I have gotten more "people adverse" and sometimes it can be crowded in the aisles at TJ's but I have never waited more than 1 minute here. The staff literally HUNT shoppers down to make sure they are checked out right away. WTH!!! At a time where it seems like most businesses are putting profit over their own employees morale (see my last review about Lord of the Flies at Ralphs with NO checkers ever) Trader Joes clearly is doing it right. I went shopping at this location about two weeks ago; I bought some snacks and a card for my friend. TOO SMALL This community is growing rapidly and this tiny store, in my opinion is going to be priced out of here unless they get into a rental contract asap. They need to expand! Chatsworth is my neighborhood store, I shop there all the time. I'm familiar with the management and regular employees. Tonight (New Year's Eve), I stopped by to pick up some last minute items, not knowing the store closed at 5pm. AFTER being turned away, as I was getting into my car. I saw Gary come to the door and talk with a lady for a moment and then he let her in to shop. I'm not sure as to why I was told "we're closed" but then another customer was able to get in. read more

I really like this TJ location. It's spacious and there is plenty of parking. The staff is always great and I am able to find everything I need because of the layout of the store. Now, in Covid-19 times they have one-way aisles which can be easy to miss because we're so accustomed to wandering around the aisles. read more

Love Trader Joe's! Came here over the weekend to get some food and noticed they had a lot of really nice potted and bouquets of flowers available for Mother's Day. The flowers were very fresh and pretty and very reasonably priced. We got a bunch for all the moms in our lives. Of course the groceries are always fresh and nice as well. Service is always fast efficient and friendly. Small stores easy selection. Parking can get a bit crazy on weekends. read more

I love this location a LOT! It was my first time shopping here. It was on the way home coming from work. Can't complain about parking - there's plenty of it! I usually go to the one on Riverside & Hazeltine that has very compact slots and is sharing a small lot with two other businesses. The inside of the store is remarkably spacious as well. I don't feel crammed with other shoppers in the aisles. You cqn never go wrong with Trader Joe's products - they're all great quality. I bought their Lemon Rosemary marinated chicken & it was very moist and flavorful, my boyfriend enjoyed it! Their team member Kaitlin rung me out with my groceries. She was very courteous and actually chatted with me. I know they don't have to but it's part of the great customer service that Trader Joe's employees have. This location is not my favorite for food items since sometime I cannot find what I am looking for because they have run out or have not stocked up but is it my favorite when it comes to easily finding parking and not as busy as most other Trader Joe's I frequent for meal prepping. Overall the store is somewhat stocked up. It does not have a lot of items like the other stores but the staff is great and I enjoyed going thru the store with ease knowing that it is never packed like the nearby Trader Joe's in Woodland Hills and West Hills.
