I always love coming to Trader Joe's. This one is located in the Brentwood Promenade. Parking can be little crazy, but it's worth it just to come to Trader Joes. I came in to buy flowers but ended up leaving with Salmon Burgers, Elote Street corn flavoured tortilla chips and chocolate chunk cookies (Yum)!!! Their flowers are always so fresh and pretty, and always makes me want to buy them all. Their produce and meat is always fresh. They are always well stocked with goodies. Their prices are unbeatable. The layout of the store is easy on the eyes, and always clean.They always have amazing and friendly staff that's always willing to help and make small talk with you. I got hooked on this Trader Joe's when I worked in the area and even though I don't live close this is still my go to store. Everyone knows the parking here is a mess so I will just move on. The staff here is great; they are always friendly and willing to help. They are visible all over the store, always replenishing and stocking and being present. Its busy here no matter the day or the time so as long as you know this, there isn't anything to get fussy about. I love their floral department, I don't like my husband or kids to get me flowers from anywhere else, they are reasonably priced and always last so long! The frozen food section just keeps getting more and more frozen meals and such, so many options! I love the Soup Dumplings, and the Chicken Tika Masala, always get excited for the new things I find. Dark Russet chips a so think and crispy and not as expensive as other brands. Don't miss out on their greeting cards! I stock up on those so I always have a selection at home. They have so much parking, and yes, this location can get really busy and packed, but they always have their checkout lanes fully staffed, and I've rarely ever had to wait to check out. They are well-organized here, and I appreciate that this location is larger than some other locations in St. Louis. read more

I come to Trader Joe's on the regular and always have a spectacular experience. However this review is for the flower area at TJ's alone. I was super sick of the gross and cold weather outside, so I wanted to make a bright floral arrangement for my house. I found the most beautiful flowers at the flower bar, roses and hydrangeas! I love that TJ is constantly getting new items for me to try but also consistent with my favs! I love the chocolate covered gummy bears they get seasonally and the sriracha BBQ sauce that I stock up on when it is in (it currently is!!!). I could create a whole list of my current food fixations from here but it would be way too long. Although it can get crazy busy here, it definitely is my favorite grocery store. It has quite a decent selection of cheese, fruits, frozen entrees etc. Parking here can be a little challenging during the weekend when the whole plaza is almost full. I visit this location weekly for all my groceries, and I can't say enough great things. All of the employees are extremely friendly, and they truly go above and beyond to take care of guests. During a recent visit, they had reorganized the shelves, and I couldn't find the new spot for their jars of sun-dried tomatoes. I asked an employee at checkout if he happened to know where they were moved, and he immediately grabbed another employee to help me find them. Trader Joe's seriously had the kindest, most genuine team! Such a great selection of the essentials and fun items that you can't find anywhere else. Some of my favorites include their cookie dough, dark chocolate covered pretzels, vegetable samosas, pizza dough, chocolate covered bananas, and Spanish style rice. This is also my go-to spot to buy flowers. They are so affordable, last a long time, and have a fantastic selection to build your own bouquets. I more recently discovered that they also have the best greeting card selection, too, and they're only 99 cents! Saving my favorite TJ's items for last... their beauty product dupes are UNREAL. They have a hair oil that's a perfect dupe for the popular OUAI hair oil, and now that I've used both, I genuinely think the TJ's version works more effectively, and it's an unbeatable price. I'm also obsessed with the hair mask, leave-in conditioner, body oil, and firming body butter. I recommend avoiding doing your shopping on Sunday afternoons, as the lines are crazy long and the store gets super packed. Friday nights are my favorite time to go. read more

As a regular, I must admit, yes, the parking can be a challenge but that is no reason to miss out on all TJs has to offer. When you walk in, you are greeted by the largest assortment of fresh flowers that smell and look great! Their produce is fresh and reasonably priced and my go to here would be the DOG TREATS, as they carry the healthiest and tastiest treats for my fur baby, who has discriminating taste. Most of their dog treats (human too) have the simplest and cleanest ingredients too, so that's a win win for my pup and me. On to everything else about TJs...the store is always well stocked and clean and the staff is always helpful and busy making sure things stay stocked and organized. It's only a 10 minute drive for me and i will ALWAYS be back, as they are in a league all their own. Oh and stop whining about parking. Trader Joe's has got to be one of the best grocery stores! I love their frozen meal options- quick microwaveable meals for a nice work lunch but also their orange chicken, teriyaki chicken, and Gorgonzola gnocchi are made in our household several times a month. I feel like some people say you can't do all of your grocery shopping here, but I've always had good experiences with their produce and meats. They have cheap wine and every hard alcohol too! It's been ten years, do you think it is time for me to update my review? I can tell you, things really haven't changed much. I am still impressed with the produce department. The prices on their organic is almost cheaper or the same as regular produce at local chain grocers. Another department that impresses me, is frozen goods. If I lived closer, I would have stocked up. It also goes without saying, you gotta stock up on wine when shopping at TJ's. The store is always super clean and well organized. One of my favorite things, is the colorful chalkboard signs, promoting various sales. It gives the store a boutique feel. The customer service is always top notch. I like the samples given out in the back right corner, many times it has introduced me to a new product. Also, the associates working the floor, will always make time to help you locate an item on your shopping list. Best of all, there is no self-check outs. That alone is a winner. read more

We were able to dart in and pick up their Grainless Granola and some Camembert Cheese. (It would all make sense if you knew me.) We threw bananas in, too, for good measure. Trader Joe's is my go to for every grocery in my life if they have it I did shop here this morning with the host of participating in a Mother's Day dinner and the event was canceled. I went to return my items. It was OK. Kevin was a little perturbed that I was returning my items, however he did receive them, didn't necessarily accept or honor my request for forgiveness, but he did take the items back. During COVID, the line outside may be long at times, but it moves quickly. It's worth the wait to not be inside a crowded store. The aisles are wide and there is plenty of room to walk. They do not have a big selection of ice cream, but the ones they have are good. I love Trader Joe's! I can't say it enough. Their basics are amazing and their meals that are prepared already are also great. Their snacks are addicting and they have decent produce as well. (Love their fresh stir fry mix) I am fortunate that we live close to this location. Everyone is so friendly. When I first moved to the area I was chatting away with the associate bagging my groceries and tendering my sale and they gave me free flowers! It was so nice. The one in Brentwood Promenade. Standard Trader Joe's. They've always got new items coming through and, sadly, they don't keep all the existing ones around forever. If you see something you like, you should probably try it. If you like it, stock up. Curse you Trader Joe for discontinuing the Chocolate Covered Cacao Nibs! I don't know how they do it, but I've never seen an employee at Trader Joe's that seemed to be having a bad day. Do they put something in the water? Or is it just a decent place to work? If they had fewer cash register and served hot food, I might call the decor 'Bodega-ish'. They don't, so, uh, maybe Bodega inispired? I should knock a star off from my standard Trader Joe's rating because of the Brendwood Promenade parking nightmare when it's crowded....but...not today. Today my new purchases included stir fry garlicky cabbage and Napa cabbage. I've been looking for veggies to change it up a bit. My dogs love the salmon dog treats! My favorite Trader Location has to be Des Peres so far. The down side to this location is the horrific parking situation. It is a mad house!!!! Trader Joe's is such a cool, laid back, chill, casual grocery store. I love their prices and quality of food items. Trader Joe's has a killer frozen food section. The items are beyond reasonable and tasty!!!! I love their Kung Pao Cauliflower, Shrimp Dumplings & Chocolate Cake, those rank among my favorite items. Trader Joe's has many hidden gems with a plethora of options to choose from. I love that Trader Joe's also offers unique and seasonal items that for some things you wait a whole year for them to return. They have a lovely selection of flowers and plants. The employees are friendly and helpful. The store is always organized and stocked. I do have to say, most times Trader's Joe's is packed. The folks who work at this Trader Joe's make you remember why it's nice to take a break from ordering things online and visit brick and mortar. You won't find anyone more friendly and helpful working retail than those here. Shopping alone with your newborn and having a hard time juggling baby, cart, and bags? Someone will likely ring a bell and have you escorted to your car to push car and help loading bags without having to ask, as they did for my wife. Wondering whether they carry a particular type of olive oil? If you call to ask, someone will likely answer, visit the shelves to check for you and give ideas, and briefly chat with you about the recipe you're using it for, as they did for me. Returning a bottle of wine whose cork wouldn't budge and resulted in your wine opener breaking? You might find yourself with not only a refund, but also a complimentary new wine opener. Yes, this was also my experience among many others. I'll likely encourage our son to apply here for his first job so that he can learn first hand what it means to treat people well. read more

As could be expected, Trader Joe's has gone above and beyond with adjusting to the current global pandemic. There are very obvious precautions that they've taken from the moment everything started. Some precautions to note: They limit the amount of folks in the store. They have several employees standing outside managing the line all the time. There's someone by the line, greeting you and reminding folks to keep social distance. They drew markers on the ground that show you how far apart you should be standing. In the store their are signs reminding folks to keep distance and the patrons honor their system. They have markers on the floor at check out, too, in order to show how far from the register you stand. They have Apple pay, so I don't have to use the card or touch my register. Employees, when I was there, were wearing gloves and masks. They have a couple additional people managing carts and cleaning them after each use. They also leave a cart wipe on the cart for you to clean your own cart. At the very beginning there was a little lag in supplies, but recently everything has been really stocked. I definitely feel as though they're one of the safest groceries to come to during this time. As always, parking in the Brentwood Promenade is never great, but hey! You win some you lose some. read more

This TJs is my happy place! The selection is incredible and the staff are wonderful. Two of the women checking me out noticed that I had a lot of flowers and asked if I was building bouquets. When I told them that I was making my own bouquet for my wedding the next day, they rushed to find extra flowers and insisted I take them for free. I love TJ's to a fault, and this one is not an exception. This is a pretty standard TJ's with an aisle dedicated to alcoholic beverages. I usually know exactly what I need before coming here, but I browse every aisle and somehow always end up with two paper bags full of food. Here are some of my favorites: **Novelty snacks - very unique and have great packaging -- surprisingly are great for travels or gifts for your friends without TJ's in their cities. **Frozen food - hands down TJ's has the best selection of frozen food! The gyozas, chicken tiki masala, lamb roganjosh, with sides of naan, are some of my staples for a quick dinner on busy nights. **Flowers - affordable and beautiful selection to spoil your mama, girlfriend, or yourself! Ok so I'm not one to often post reviews, but after my last trip there I had to do it. Two very helpful and kind staff personnel assisted me so I really have to acknowledge them. I asked one of them to help me find a few things, I may have been boarding on obnoxious to be honest, but unlike most other folks who work at grocery stores this person seemed super happy to show me what I was looking for and was not in any way rude or grumpy. Another staff, named something to the effect of Punche (they had a fairly unique name that started with a P), checked me out at the register and was just absurdly courteous and friendly-- so much so that they actually improved my day and I'm not exaggerating. It's sometimes just the little things that are really meaningful like this and let's be honest I really needed something like that because my day wasn't going particularly well. We had a great conversation, they we also able to give me some good suggestions on some of their favorite foods there and just so anyone doesn't misunderstand this wasn't a flirtatious thing. I've also heard folks say that Trader Joe's is on the expensive side and I actually have to disagree with that. I'd say it's very reasonably priced and comparable to other stores. The quality of the food is also pretty darn good, they certainly have a few gems too, particularly their prepared food. read more

This is the only Trader Joe's location in the city of St. Louis. It's located in a shopping plaza across from a Target store. During peak hours, the line to get it can be very long. At times it can take up to 30 minutes until you get in. That being said, it's best to avoid peak hours and ideally come in on a weekday afternoon. They have a standard selection of produce. The specialty ethnic items can be hit or miss- at times they don't have many items that you could easily find at other locations. I typically come here for the oat milk, the low-fat guacamole, the chicken shawarma, the frozen shrimp gyozas and the frozen Japanese style fried rice. Some of my favorite snacks include the trail mix crackers and the elote corn fritters. At times they don't carry some of these items which can be disappointing. Like all locations, the staff is friendly and helpful. This location is somewhat convenient for me, and that's what keeps me coming back. read more

I'm so upset that it took me so long to discover my love for TJs. They have officially become my go-to grocery store. The staff, product selection, accessibility, and lay out of the store all make the experience much better than any grocery shopping experience I've had in the past. I've only been during the pandemic and can say they have some of the most CDC compliant policies I've ever experienced, which I wholeheartedly appreciated. They limit the number of patrons in the restaurant, require face coverings, wipe down carts in between patrons, mandating distancing when waiting in line outside, mandating distancing during the check out process. All while staff remain respectful, polite, and kind to all patrons. The grocery selection is impeccable. With a wide variety of options that cater to many different diets and eating restrictions. Gluten free, vegan, vegetarian, dairy, and Kosher substitutes for many popular items. A very family friendly eating selection. Located in the amazing Brentwood shopping center, it makes for a convenient stop while completing your weekly/monthly shopping! Would highly recommend and cannot wait to return for more. read more

I love Trader Joe's. What's not to love? Inexpensive, good food that you feel good about purchasing . I don't label myself but as I eat healthier I tend to shop at Trader Joe's and Whole Foods . I can find most of the specialty items I want and the treats when I want to indulge. However when cooking and you need recipe items , don't go looking for them here. You will need to go to a big box store. Especially spices and baking items. They are boss for my ready made meals, and little treats and snacks though. What I don't like is that they stopped stocking dairy free yogurt options and spreads. Really? They will also let you return an item if you try it and decide you don't like it.
