The store is clean and well stocked. There is not a self checkout at this location though. I thought the scan and go was self checkout so I started scanning my items. The employee started yelling at me that this location did not have a self checkout option. I asked why several people around me were able to scan their groceries and she said they pay $12 a month for that option in the app. In what world does it make sense to pay $12 a month to scan your own groceries?!? I know that part is not under the employee's control but her attitude is. They need to consider putting her in a different part of the store where she is not so customer facing... I gladly took my items and went to a checkout counter several aisles away where a cashier greeted me nicely and was super prompt. In the background, I continued to hear the banshee in the scan and go counter yelling at other customers that "this location does not have self checkout." Maybe better signage is needed... read more

I was in the area & thought I would stop in since it was on way home. Had never been at this walmart and was pleasantly surprised how helpful all the associates were. The store was extremely clean and well layed out. Prices were comparable to other stores and shelves were stocked and easy to read. Parking was extremely easy with a big parking lot. It is Ada compliant including have motorized shopping carts for those in need of assistance getting around. read more

This location is one of my least favourites. I only come to this location for convenience as it's close to my home. They are always fairly stocked, but the checkout process is a nightmare. The lines are always so long, and the self checkout lanes are non-existent. read more

This location used to be clean, and stocked well , with staffing available and eager to assist . In the past 6 months I've been here a total of 3x . This is absolutely my last time coming here. Always long lines and not reasonable long lines , Six Flags Thunder River vibes which is ridiculous. Never any inventory, and freshness quality is questionable. Cluttered to capacity in aisles and on shelves with items no one needs in my opinion. Staff is meh! Parking is awful with cars double parking on lines. I sure do miss the self-serve lines. Plus now if you want a gift certificate, you have to go in the regular line for your stuff that you're buying and then go to customer service to purchase your gift certificate and wait in another long line. read more

Usually this Walmart is terrible but today we decided to come at 6am and spent over $500 in groceries with 2 full baskets and any other time an afternoon cashier would of been had no patience and a terrible attitude but Ashish was awesome and friendly the whole time and even tho it took about 15 minutes to ring and bag everything up and then the card reader messing up, he stayed having a great attitude and definitely made the whole experience pleasant. read more

Go to target that's around there, this place is atrocious bathrooms smelling like burning chemicals and not the cleaning kind. Every single worker looked miserable. I'm not saying they should look like sun shine and rainbows but at least have a straight face on, nothing was organized or zoned, my breaking point was when I payed and the self checkout register ran out of receipt paper the worker came all rude saying I had to go the register but I told her that on the screen my remaining balance was zero so I fully payed, she then asked if it charge my card and I checked, it did and when I said that she gave me this look and said ok well you can leave In a rude ass tone. My experience was awful, the item that it came for a personal care item that cost almost 6 dollars and was locked behind glass. I went to find an employee to assist me, she told me she didn't have the key. I asked her how to find the person with the key and she said the managers are all in back. In addition, they had one set of self checkout lanes working and by then I mean to self check out working and they had two regular checkouts working, and those lines were all the way down the store.. I just don't understand why when going somewhere to make a purchase with your money. The store does not even care.. not all Walmarts are the same, will not be coming back to this one. We are Walmarts biggest supporters. We've talked all of our friends into using the parking lot pickups and have had very good success. That all ended when we moved to the area and started using the Maplewood WM. The orders were never right, if you can get someone to answer the phone, it takes 1/2 hour to get your order. Today, we tried to take back 4 artichokes that should never been sold, only to be told that our order was never picked up. Huh?? If the order wasn't picked up.... how'd we get these chokes??? We then asked to see a supervisor or manager and she confirmed that our order had never been picked up. When we explained to her about how we got the chokes we laid down in front of her, she had a far off look in her eyes Bad day for the WM team!! read more

Oh boy guys! I swore off Walmart the last time I went to a different location maybe a month or so ago but unfortunately I was in the area and had to complete the "joys" of adulting and Walmart is that one stop shop you know? So strike one, I go in to get a cart and there are none so I had to walk back to a random parking spot where people had left two carts. Strike 2, I had to go to my "favorite" place, the money center and per usual since I've been alive there's a long line and one Cashier. While I was waiting I saw who I presume was a manager, come up to the counter to tell the Cashier that he had to call the police because people were fighting in some section. The line didn't take too long though and the money orders were only a $1. I will say at least the cashier was nice. I'm not sure what the deal is but it seems across the board it's been increasly hard to find prices. Getting rid of the price scanners was THE WORST decision they could have made. The app is random and it's a pain to have to look up everything. Sundays mean, low stock so a lot of food items were bare. After about 2 hours, it was definitely time for me to get outta there! I headed to self checkout (the longer one) and all of them were only taking cards. I headed to the shorter ones and the worker said there are all cards. I told her I had a gift card and cash and she said "can't go here today, you'll have to go to the regular line". She wasn't rude. It was just the way she was telling people was umm country? I was so ready to go at this point so I just ended up using my credit card which I did not want to do but at this point it was anything to be done! Of course it's hot outside and I was parched so I stopped at the Subway in the store for an ICEE. I asked for a large and the guy said they have this size (showed me a cup) which was smaller than a large but he was still charging me the large price. I asked if they had a small and he said they only have this cup and wouldn't charge me the small price so no ICEE for me. THEN I went to the soda machine . Water ..SOLD OUT. The other machines have gone up to 75 cents from 50. At this point it may seem like I'm penny pinching. You are darn Skippy! You do NOT want to know my total at check out. Also for one of the richest retailers in the market, it makes NO SENSE for Walmart to have such poor, unreliable quality of anything. NEVER AGAIN! read more

I have to update Walmart Supercenter's review because when I wrote the last one, I was mad. They were changing the shelves around (everything was in the same aisle so they didn't have to buy new signs) and I was unable to find a lot of products that I wanted. Well, things have settled down as have I and it's back to Walmart I go. They have raised their prices on a lot of things. It seems like it's mostly your drug store incidentals. They have added a lot more self check out aisles and if you want to take a job away from an employee, go ahead and use them. Would I go back here? Sometimes but I've found Aldi stores so who knows. read more

Walmart is unbelievable. This is the middle of the day and they have 2 cashiers checking out lines of customers. They have closed one of the two self checkouts to now permanently become their subscription service's "fast lane" which no one is ever at and takes up needed checkout space. The one open self-checkout has a line down into the product shelves constantly. PAYING CUSTOMERS SHOULD NOT HAVE TO SUFFER UNNECESSARILY LONG WAITS BECAUSE WALMART WANTS TO PUT THEIR SERVICES BEHIND A PAYWALL AND THEY DO NOT WANT TO KEEP THEIR PAY COUNTERS STAFFED. read more

It took over an hour to purchase a product because it was in a case and no one knew who had a key and wasn't willing to try to find anyone with a key. Finally got it home and it was defective. Returned the next morning to exchange and the fiasco started again. Was told i had to wait an hour to exchange due to not taking exchanges until 10 AM. Was then told I had to wait until 11 to get the new one because no one had a key. The day before I found a random employee on my own who had a key. I asked for a manager and was told there was none, but was told to go look for someone with a key myself. I left not willing to do business with them anymore. I urgently needed the product that I had purchased so i went to several stores trying to find another. I had no luck so I had no choice but to go back. Couldn't get help again. Talked to a manager who didn't help at all. Went back and automotive now had employees back there. Proceeded to wait in line for over 30 minutes to finally get it. I will never do business with walmart again. There ae way too many choices out there to accept that. I will also be contacting their corporate office. read more

10 PM & later- DON'T GO 10 PM & earlier- Try not to go 10 PM self checkout closes meaning EVERYONE has to go through the few lines that are open... this Walmart is the closest to BAD AREAS. A single person in line could need to split purchases between cards, vouchers & cash with multiple people splitting more ways. Plus- cashiers are dealing with a lot of merchandise being returned at time of purchase (not enough money... purchase not approved on EBT or vouchers or whatever). All of this takes time on an already extremely long line. People can't play this stuff as much @ self checkout. This is just a far more dirty & disorganized Walmart. Customers shove back merchandise on shelfs anywhere & end up hiding items. 3 Bean Salad in a can took me 20 minutes & an employee 10 minutes to find hidden behind items not for that isle. Consistently like this. Employees are usually helpful, but they're usually as dumbfounded as me. However, I do find item stacked in wrong bins & areas by store employees also. Nobody ever showed up, when I got to the front of the store, there were groups of employees staying around talking with each other. I'll take my business to target. What? That is the attitude I had when my co-worker told me she ordered the cake for our managers baby shower from Wal-Mart. I was even in more shock, when she told me she also ordered the tray of sandwiches from them. The shock went deeper, when she said it was from the Maplewood Commons location. I told her that location was on my "Terrible Two's" list on Yelp. See admitted it was a rough store, but assured me it would be okay. She was right, they did a great job on the cake. I was surprised how flavorful it was and smooth and beautiful the icing was. The sandwiches were just average. In fact they forgot about them and didn't have them ready when she went to pick our order up. However, they quickly prepared them and discounted our order by 10%. In the rush, several of the dollar sized sandwiches missed the cheese. Oh well, at least they hustled and tried to make it right. I like that Walmart is always super cheap. I just wish that this location would open up more lines instead of making everyone go through self checkout. It isn't reasonable to have one line open. When people are doing big grocery hauls, it takes everyone so long to get through the self-checkouts. The longest I have stood waiting in the self checkout line is 25 minutes. That makes me want to avoid coming here unless I absolutely need to. read more

I needed 2 things I was able to find them quickly. It was a busy night and the lines were long. Although I was in and out quick I could tell they were trying to keep up with the mess as best they could. Walmart is Walmart this one wasn't horrible nor the best it was an average Walmart experience. Long lines, messy shelves, long check out process. I used to work at Walmart in college and we had a check out speed quota that we had to stay at. I'm not sure why they got away with that. It makes the lines longer. After the cashier says hello, did you find everything or how are you doing etc, they need to scan a lot faster. The cashier was looking at every item as if she was making her own mental personal shopping list. It is annoying when trying to get in and out. This Walmart was so bad I felt compelled to review it as a warning to others. Everyone knows what they're getting into when shopping at Walmart, but this particular location embodies the company's, "We don't give a crap about you," mentality. Never have I been in a worse Walmart, not in Missouri, nor any other state. Narrow aisles, trash on the floor, crowded, understocked, poor produce, grumpy employees (not all), chaotic parking lot, and unintuitive layout are some things to look forward to here. The highlights of my trip were having to wait in line to buy face wash in an enclosed area and then wait in line AGAIN to pay for my groceries. Supposedly this is a new Walmart design to limit thief, but it's the first time I've encountered it and it's an awful plan. The other highlight was waiting in line to leave so a miserable employee could check my receipt to make sure I didn't steal anything. Over the years I've tried to avoid Walmart stores due to their poor business practices, but sometimes convenience brought me back. Horrible service!! Auto Service - management Todd and Bryah (Dept Mgr) Took 2.5 hours to get 2 tires on my car. Todd wanted to sell and upsell me. Horrible condescending attitude toward several customers. They were trying to find him and then he came back from (he says Personnel). He stated there are 2 folks on tires and 1 person on lube/oil changes. It takes 15 mins per tire. I'm not sure what the issue on Yet I counted 5 folks and a manager in this dept issue. They pulled over 1 other person and a dept mgr to assist. Todd says he has been in his role for 4 weeks. OMG They need backup help and customer service/ communication training. read more

He not only told me he showed me and explained they had 2 different kid showed me the second one as well. He was very knowledgeable, efficient, professional and just a nice young man.
