He came wearing mask and gloves so yay safety! For non business hours the $125 diagnostic fee was reasonable. Business hours price is lower though Easco is available 24/7! Sadly it was a much bigger repair than I anticipated - I'd hoped for capacitor but the compressor had eaten itself. Fortunately because the whole HVAC was replaced in 2016 the part was under warranty. Had to take advantage of their third party financing {thanks Covid 19} which was simple, easy, and has reasonable terms even for less than stellar credit. First tech arrived right on time and started the project while waiting for the second. A third tech arrived who was a trainee and since we homeschool I thought that was fabulous - continuing to make my property an educational center. A company called Riley's Air Conditioning and Heating came up in the search and I called them. Got a vm that said to text so I did that and I got a reply within minutes. The guy was in conroe at a doctor's appointment but he said when he was done he would come out. Later that day he texted that he was on his way back to Huntsville and asked for my address. This man was extraordinarily professional and had the problem identified and fixed in 20 minutes. Had the part on the van and the price was so reasonable I was actually shocked. This is the best heat and air company I have ever seen. I'm 57 years old and a former building inspector so I've seen a few. Hands down these guys are the best. I will never call anyone else again as long as I live in this area. I had American Home Shield for years and they would charge $100 for service call and it would take a week to get someone out here...... then they would send some quack out that had no clue what they were doing. They would not have the parts needed and I would have to wait another week for them to come back out to fix the problem. I got so frustrated that I cancelled my contract with AHS. This was the first repair I've needed since cancelling my warranty company and I was literally shocked at the speed, professionalism and competence of the man that came out here Friday. Provided a lot of information for me and was willing to explain my situation as well as provide some good info to bring back to my builder to save money. I don't know any company that is looking out for the little man especially during this economy. Conley Cooling and Heating will be my HVAC company I use for now on and will be suggesting them to my family and friends. Trust me, don't go to big names companies (Moore/Abacus) and so on. After doing…read moresome troubleshooting Saturday morning to see if it's a simple fix, I was unable to get it back working so I decided to give them a call. They did a service call later that day which revealed that the board on my furnace was bad and needed to be replaced. They put in a temporary fix which allowed one of my 2 thermostats to directly control the AC for the entire house until then. Monday roll around, they came out and replaced the board which took a few hours. After being told it was done, there was still no air coming out of the vents. I communicated my problem and the next day, the owner had another tech out investigating my issue which revealed a slightly different issue than what it was originally believed to be. They got it figured out and got my AC working. They also came back the following day just to further troubleshoot and make sure they had the issue fully resolved, then also fully explained to me what was the issue and the steps they took to resolve it. I felt like they took the effort to make sure my issue was resolved properly. I stand by any business that values customer service. I recommend these guys!
