Tracy rescued me from John Moore. The HVAC tech for John Moore tried to charge me thousands and refused to unclog my line, even though the clog caused a leak and my drip pan to overflow. I am sure he overcharged me for the drip pan and charged me for unclogging my line, which he didn't do. Tracy did everything in less than 1 hour. we were having issues coming down to temp and excessive humidity. we have a home warranty so we first went that route. the company that came out told us that the unit was too small and that the total cost would be in the $8k range to upgrade the system. never mind that the system was only 3 years old. Tracy came out and found gaps in the duct system that needed to be sealed. performed the work and fixed the issue for $730. great work by an honest business man. read more

Tracy is a delight to have around, and Sam was friendly as well. They're professional and somehow managed to track less dirt into the house than the last guys lol. Their office lady made sure to give us a call the day after the repair to make sure everything was working well, which is appreciated.. And my AC is now cold enough that I fight with my boyfriend over where to set the thermostat. Also worth noting that they were very cool with my dog! She's got that big blockhead that makes people nervous, but is sweet as pie and Tracy became fast friends with her. My property management company is a nightmare but I told them to continue calling Tracy AC because his service would reflect well on them... and lord knows they need all the help they can get. Our A/C went out in the middle of the night. Tracy James and a technician were at our house by 11am that morning. Within 10 minutes, they discovered it was related to our thermostat and the units needing Freon. My wife and I were convinced we were going to have to replace one of the units because it's so old, but Tracy was incredibly honest in telling us that we didn't need to spend thousands on a new unit yet, but could get by with a few hundred dollars of Freon. He also did not charge us in full for the Freon in good faith that we'll use him in the future. He was adamant that we do our research before making such a big purchase. He showed great integrity by putting aside the opportunity to make more money. I don't feel like this is always normal practice. We now have an A/C guy! And would highly recommend him for you to use as well! read more

Tracy was absolutely amazing! He came out shortly after we called which was ideal considering the heat. He is very detailed in his explanations and keeps you in the loop while he's working his magic on the unit! He even came back when my unit "stopped working" after his service. Turns out the units power was off due to a breaker issue, which we didn't think to check, the a/c kicked right back on! So thankful to have found our new A/c guy! Will be using him in the future. HIGHLY recommend hiring Tracy and Kellie for your HVAC needs. After going round and round with my home warranty company on a failing system I decided to shop around for my own HVAC company and purchase an entirely new system. Based off of their reviews, and after having two other companies give quotes, I contacted Tracy AC & Heating. I called on a Saturday afternoon and Kellie booked me for Monday morning, saying they may be able to squeeze me in at the end of the day today. Kellie was able to discuss new system options and already had me feeling good about contacting them. Not only were they able to come that Saturday afternoon, Tracy and his technician were able to get my current system working (it had been broken since Monday). He agreed I needed a new system and the fix was temporary; he wouldn't take payment for that visit and on Monday Kellie sent me 4 quotes for new systems. Due to weather and my schedule, the new system couldn't be installed for a couple of weeks. Kellie reached out multiple times to say if my current system stopped working they would come back out and get it running in the meantime. Day of install they got everything taken care of in about 5 hours. The new system has been working great. I cannot recommend them enough. Kellie ensured they would work around my schedule and they truly did. They made me feel like a priority. Purchasing a new HVAC system is one of the biggest purchases for your home; I appreciated the multiple quotes, and having them itemized at that. They really take the time to discuss the different options for your home, weighing pros and cons. I will use them for all future HVAC needs. If you are reading this then I'm sure you know how it feels to come home after working all day to find your house is an Oven. I got online and Google gave me a list. I still cant believe how lucky I was by picking Tracy AC... I was ready to load up the dogs and find a hotel room for a night or 2. Long story short, they were at my house the same evening, after hours at that and had cool air flowing through the house within 10 minutes of their arrival.The price was more than fair, I felt like I was getting away with something considering the position I was in. I would've paid twice that for the blessing it was to not have to get a hotel. I hope to never have that type of emergency again but if I ever need anything done with AC service they are locked into my phone now. I have referred all friends and family to them. read more

I will definitely use them again if needed. Our compressor wires were melted in our AC Unit and needed a rewire kit. We called All Star A/C Heating Services because of their excellent ratings on Angies List. Overall they were good but said the price to repair would be $300. So we decided to wait until out home warranty kicked in a few weeks later and go through that. That's where Tracy A/C and Heating was recommended to us, and they came out and did the same repair for $135. We really appreciated the honesty with them b/c most of us really have no clue what each of these jobs should cost and/or don't have the time to research it thoroughly. That's when we have to rely on companies not to try and rip us off. This worked out even better for us when we realized that our Home Warranty company (Choice Home Warranty) was worthless and wasn't going to cover our service. So the $165 difference in price really helped out and we will definitely use them again! read more

Tracy's company was sent by my Choice Home Warranty. They came and fixed a capacitor and my AC was running again. Unfortunately, my unit was too old and it stopped working two weeks after, Tracy came back out and gave me an honest opinion and estimate, he was very polite. A warranty company put in a new A/C unit which fell apart just a couple months later, gave us no warranty, and caused the family living in the home to be without A/C in Houston for too long. Kellie thought about this family's well being on her own and expedited the new installation. She and Tracy got us the best brand and warranty taking care of the issue immediately. Tracy and Kelly showed up to assess the situation, of course "you'd be better off putting a new system in" was the response. Well my wife is in the hospital and I can't afford that right now so what can we do to fix it? They located a leak (which I had already found) and determined that the pipe needed to be welded to fix the leak. Tracy said a valve had to be replaced if they were going to take down the system to do the weld. They would return this morning and weld the pipe, replace the valve and charge the system for $350 plus whatever freon I needed over the amount I had in a bottle already. They were very nice, professional and easy to talk with. This morning they welded the pipe, did not replace the valve and used what freon I had. Tracy said that it needed about 7 more pounds of freon at $100 a pound. $100 a pound?!?! It is r22 which is expensive but are you kidding me?? $700 for a top off of freon? I looked and can buy it for less than $27 a pound. Sooo paid for valve I didn't get and still don't have a working ac because they tried to rip me off 4x the price of freon. I would have been ok with $50 a pound even allowing them some profit. So now I have no idea if their weld is any good, do not have a new valve and do not have a working system. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE UNLESS YOU WANT TO CHANGE OUT YOUR ENTIRE SYSTEM. They seem to do that well based on the current reviews. OMG thanks for nothing. read more
