She asked me "did you find everything you needed" I said no because whatever I grab the price is incorrect and I got frustrated. I got tired of asking the gentleman in the back to scan and i took photos! Even he said "this is odd to see nothing matching on this shelf" and he disappeared.. All she said and kept saying was "ok" "what do you mean everything" I said from yard aisle to pet section! She said "ok" I found hummingbird stuff under $1.99 and when the guy scanned it, it was $18.99. I found a plant hook under $7.99, when he scanned it, it was $23.99. Completely doesn't not even match the price tag, keep in mind they are all stocked under that price. Talking about ignorance! Instead of devoting time and wanting my money at this store, she seems very careless and lazy! It's absolutely disgusting behavior to be present to at the register! If you don't like what you do, maybe you shouldn't be at the register. Employee definitely needs training how to be welcoming, I come here often for vet appointments on Sundays and because it's around the corner from our house we shop here a lot, but no thanks after yesterday! Fix your price tags!! It wasn't just one thing, it was many errors! You technically are supposed to honor to customer what I see and have a proof! Marcie, you ruined my daughters bday. You did not want to do your job and sell the baby chickens. You claimed it was a holiday weekend and short staffed, yet I counted 8 employees and 3 customers. After I went to the front and spoke to another store representative, you were told to help me. You proceeded to help me for 20 seconds before you left to help another customer who came into the store after us. We left we no supplies today, and your store lost out on $200+ in sales and, most importantly, a lifelong customer. Store Manager, this lady is loosing your store business and your only in business to make money. read more

I came in yesterday afternoon to get dog food. Saw an associate walk by and asked her where this particular brand of food was at. I followed her to the back, she loaded two bags on her cart plus a bag of chicken feed. Walked me to the front. I immediately checked out and she took my items to the car. As I started to try and help unload the cart, another associate walks up and helps. I walked in, she picked my stuff, and they unloaded my cart. I never touched anything. I was in and out within 10 minutes That's not always like this, but it sure is nice when it happens read more

My brother and I had a pretty bad experience at this store. Their customer service skills are really bad and they just gave us weird looks/vibes the whole time. We called the store earlier in the day to ask if they had any stall mats in stock. A lady answered the phone and said yes, so I asked it's ok if I reserve them and go there later in the day to pick them up. She said it's no problem and asked for our name so they can put it aside. Later that afternoon we went to the store and we spoke with a lady that works there and at first she was being kind to us but afterwards she got all aggressive after we started asking about the stall mats we put on hold. She basically had no idea what we were talking about and was just straight up rude for no reason. (I'm assuming she's a different person than the person that I spoke on the phone with because if not that would make this employee a really stupid person.) Anyways after being a rude piece of crap and useless she directed us to another employee who basically wasn't much help either. He told us that they never put items on hold, so we're basically making up the phone call or at the wrong store. But then finally another employee said to look outside the store and see where the mats are.....WELL WOULD YOU LOOK AT THAT......OUR MATS ARE THERE WITH OUR NAMES ON IT! If the employees just talked to each other instead of being assholes to customers this whole ordeal would have easily been avoided. It's obvious these employees don't know how to communicate well with each other and especially not with customers. And to make matters worse I called the previous day asking if they accept reservations and the gentleman who answered the phone said they do. Which proves that theres at least 2 people in that store who know about reservations/holding items. Work on your store policies and customer skills. read more

Today I received the famous industrial/home supply store line "We will only do it for this one time" 90 days ago I purchased an air hose for my own use from this TSC location, aware of the 2 year warranty the product had allotted on the package. Keeping my receipt for a possible problem, I bought the Flexzilla Hose and not but 3 months later the product failed, blowing up in my face while in use. I found my receipt and I took it in with the faulty product in hand and I grabbed the new product I would like as exchange of the "warranty" VERY RUDE customer service they were not willing to exchange my faulty product, after showing them the bad product, receipt, and then them realizing they actually sold the product they said 5 minutes prior that they didn't, a manager with apparent attitude joins in. I was told by the manufacturer of the product to go after the retailer whom sold the item to me for warranty satisfaction. THEY SIMPLY DIDN'T WANT TO WARRANTY IT HONESTLY. They said it isn't THEIR product so they want to wipe their hands clean. "We will do this only once" but what about the warranty on the box of the product they sold me and the proof of the company how warranty works. I am very dissatisfied for 3 or more main reasons. 1) Attitudes from both clerks/management toward the customer concern 2) Unfamiliarity of the merchandise sold and telling me at first they don't even sell it, with a new one from the shelf 1 foot from me on the counter! 3) The "famous" want of the employees to only grant or honor my concern once, and that if it is to happen again I have to speak with someone else. YOU SOLD IT, YOU PRINTED MY RECEIPT, THE STATED WARRANTY ISN'T OF EXPIRATION, then why is there ANY hassle at all! TERRRRRIBLE Customer Service. I had to resort to social media and emailing because not one person has contacted me in regards to an incident that took place in your Oakdale, CA store. My children and I were in the store shopping on 7-7-16. We were in the cat food isle and we heard a man laughing as if he was making fun of someone. That is when we heard another man (customer) scream, "Are you joking right now, you just said you wished I had died!!" I stepped out of the isle to see if I needed to protect my young children. A man with grey hair rushed around the customer service desk and proceeded to try to bump chests with a very irritated customer. I later found out that he is the manager of this location! The manager did not handle this situation with a very angry customer well at all. He appeared to try to bait the customer into hitting him. The customer was very angry and was screaming about the manager saying obscene things about his deceased platoon members and how the manager was committing a crime by claiming to be in the military. If it were not for two very brave female employees who stepped up and had to separate the two someone really would have got hurt. A phone was slapped out of the managers hand and flew a good 20 - 25 feet away and really could have hurt someone. The employees did a better job escorting the angry customer out then this "manager". The manager followed the employees and the customer and still tried fighting with him and never once just shut up. He seemed to be out of control. At this point, I took my children out of the cart and left a cart full of items and attempted to leave the store. The store manager had ripped off his red vest and was in the parking lot still trying to get this customer to hit him! When this took place I called customer service and it is obvious that TSC does not mind that their manager gets into physical fights in the middle of their store with customers. I have informed all of my family, neighbors and friends about this incident. I called from the parking lot as I sat in horror watching a grown man try to fight someone probably 30 years his junior! Because of having someone like this run this store, you have lost many valuable customers. The store had multiple customers that fled without making any purchases. If I was one of those poor employees I would feel very ashamed to claim this store. Kmart and Target in Riverbank now get our business. I'm urging other customers to complain as well. Most think that your store is all about the all mighty dollar instead of actually providing customer service, and it is sad to say but I'm starting to think this is true. My father in law has informed me that this manager is still there. As a business owner I'm simply appalled. The wrong customer will be baited and hurt by this loose cannon of a manager and who will be on the hook? This is my last attempt to point out what occurred in your store, during business hours, with your employees OBVIOUSLY NOT EVEN A KID FRIENDLY STORE WITH THIS MANAGER RUNNING THE SHOW! read more

I ordered 500 lbs of horse feed online. The woman at the will call desk was very unfriendly. She just asked me my last name and then looked it up on the computer and simply walked away. She then came back and said your order is up the aisle. There was a flatbed cart with 10 50lb bags of feed just sitting in the middle of the aisle. I could barely wheel it out of the store. No one offered to help either wheel it out or load my truck. I did not want to ask someone to help because everyone there looked older than me and I am 70. Terrible service! read more

Absolutely the worst experience EVER!!! I have been to this tractor supply before, never had amazing service, but nothing as bad as this!!! First I am walking around looking for items, and I am clearly lost as I am looking down isle after isle, passing no less than 2 people and no one asked if I needed help. I finally find my items, I am someone that really checks prices, as we have a lot of animals and so on a budget. As I am in line to check out, there is one lady at the register, than me and than two others, so the cashier calls for assistance, that is when Larry (I believe was his name), comes to help, instead of taking me, he takes the pretty lady behind me. I think, whatever, happens all the time and I'm not in a huge rush. So the cashier asks the lady in front of me if she needs help and "Larry" goes to help her outside. Now it's finally my turn and my cart is full of 50 lbs bags. As she is scanning the items they are not coming up the prices that they were marked at. So I question the price and she asks for a price check. "Larry" stops by and says that the bags of feed that were posted as $9.99 a bag are not that price, "no way" he says. He says that the bags are in the wrong spot. So they must have been all day at least, but no one has moved the bags, cause there were three bags there. So I decide I don't want to pay double the price posted for the bags of feed but I still need rabbit food so I ask the cashier to just ring up a bag of whatever is cheapest rabbit feed, and that I would just go back and grab it once i check out. That the vitamins for my chickens were also in the wrong place. But this time "Larry" said it was okay to give it to me for $7.99 (it was posted at $7.29) but at this point I was pretty fed up and just wanted to leave. So we get everything figured out and I pay and go back to get my rabbit feed. Well, they don't have the bag of feed I bought they only had the one that was a dollar more. So being an honest person, I go up to tell my cashier what happened and to pay the difference. My cashier says that she has to clock out but to just explain it to the other lady at the check out. So as I am explaining it to Paula, she looks at me like I am a complete moron, but goes ahead and exchanges it for me, mind you I am the one to pay more, I'm not getting anything out of this!! Than I take all my heavy bags of feed, that no one offered to help me with, and walk out with my service dog to load up the stuff. "Larry" is sitting outside on the forklift talking to someone as they both see me struggling to load my bags of feed into my car. Once I get everything loaded, a good 15 min later, I notice the tarps that I don't recall if they were rung up or not, so I check my receipt and sure enough they were forgotten. Simple mistake. Again, being honest, I walk back into the store, by this time I am very sore from lifting the bags and tired and irritated and on the verge of tears. The only cashier is Paula again, so I walk up to her and explain that the tarps were missed when I was checking out, and that I wanted to pay for them. She looked irritated that I was bothering her with making her have to work!! Not even a thank you for being honest and coming back in!!!! I will NEVER go back to that store and I will do my best to spread the word on how horrible the customer service is at that store and that people should go else where when shopping!!!! Mega customer service failure. My husband went in near closing time, unaware they closed soon. He walked by three employees, none of whom informed him that they were closing. One saw as he went to the outdoor gated area in the back. Soon after, they locked him out back there. He called me for help, and after jumping around out front to try to get the workers' attention, someone finally helped but it was clearly an imposition. No one apologized to my husband, no words except "the registers are closed now". As if we were trying to make their lives difficult! Just...wow. We wont be back. read more

This store used to be a great place to shop. New management has really affected the moral of the employees. Oakdale is a small town, and many of the businesses feel like family. This place treats you as an inconvenience. They never have what I need, I go there first because it is the closest, but I usually leave empty handed. There are too many other stores in town that offer the same things with much better customer service. If I want more than Oakdale has, I will head to Modesto before I go here. read more
