We often go here for horse & chicken feed. The prices use to be a little lower, now they are more or less the same prices at other feed stores. However, I wish the two ladies that work there were more pleasant and helpful. They can be rude at times. read more

It's been lambing season and we found ourselves in need of some lamb formula for bottle feeding a baby lamb. It's a special order item because of the importance of it's freshness. I'm just stating a fact here that not everyone may be aware of. Now continuing... Bugs can get into this type of lamb milk formula if it's allowed to sit around and or be stored at room temperature hence the special order. I appreciate the special order and how fast the item arrived. Within 2 to 3 days we received the phone call from this store informing us that the large bag of milk replacement was ready for pick up. Once in store we were attended to promptly and when they offered to load the item into my vehicle for us, I graciously accepted. Customer service was great and the store was organized and well stocked with clothing and country footwear such as good quality rubber boots etc. and more farm supply items. read more

Seems like they're in desperate need of educated staff and/or new employees in the store section of this business. I called ahead to see if they had the item I needed, described it exactly (what it looked like and what it was not), and the man I spoke with said yes, we have it. So I stopped my walnut huller, freight trucking, and workers & left Turlock to go get it. Got there and they pointed me to a completely different item which I stated over the phone was NOT what I needed. Wasted about an hour of my hectic day. Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Please hire competent employees. Amazon wins yet again. read more

I love farm supply. You can pick up all your needs. Wranglers, dog food, seed... Need I go on?

The good thing is that they have and 800 number and are supposedly a large outfit. However my experience was terrible. I called several times to find out if they had some common farm supply items in stock, and could never get a clear answer. Finally i called and asked for a price and delivery ,and was given a price and approximate time to order it, and assured that if i came in and prepaid they would order the items I wanted which was only 100 bucks or so. So i drive all the way out there, to pay, and when i get there, they tell me that they can't get a couple of the items, that they told me they could. And clearly they did not want to be bothered with a special order. This is a 'locals' only farm place, and I suspect you're just not going to get treated well unless you have been in the area a long time or are a friend of a friend. i wont go back or give them another chance. anyone who turns down an order for cotton seed meal is not a farm supply store that i can use. they just dont act like they want your business and are pretty darn presumptions if your going to be a regular customer or not, or about how much you want to buy. thats okay i found it much, cheaper from another place and the people were nice and wanted my business. maybe it pays to have the right last name when you walk into this place as well. i got the distinct feeling i had the wrong type of last name to shop there. too bad i cant send them a bill for the gas and time they wasted. its a rednecks only type of place or hayseeds only. you don't like to be so unkind but these were about as unfriendly of people as i have ever met. at least if people are overcharging you and making you prepay cash, you expect they are going to place the order and treat you decently for paying 'sucker' prices. i got the feeling they were more interested in letting their 'pals' know if there was a new farmer in the area than in actually taking my order and treating me as a human being. who knows maybe they though i was a pot farmer, but last i checked pot farmers dont use cotton seed meal. hayseeds and hayseeds. next time i go in if i ever do i will make sure to wear a 'remember the alamo t-shirt. Not even so much as 'sorry we can't help' you when it became clear to me they had no intention of taking my small order. you run into this quite a bit in california and don't see it much back in the midwest where the people are more civil. read more

I was able to special order a product from a company that does business with Stanislaus Farm Supply. The product isn't something they normally carry so it was a nice surprise that they would deal with this huge delivery with not a lot of mark up. The day they received it Matt called me and told me he would have a truck and driver deliver it to me. It was huge and would require a rental of a trailer for me to go get from them so that was great! OK. It was awesome. Unfortunately, when they delivered it it wasn't as I expected. I went to Matt and told him what had happened. He and Ray immediately called the supplier and did a great job explaining the issues. The really great thing is that he represented me on a product that he doesn't even carry. I'd say that is way over and above. In spite of the issues when I received the product, Matt and Ray were so helpful in getting every problem resolved and I could not be happier with their service or their incredible customer service. I would not hesitate to do business with them in the future and highly recommend them to anyone! read more
