And they had reasonable prices for the cold drinks at the checkout. I appreciate that they were not over $2 like most places. And they had Firecracker Faygo - this is hard to find! We enjoyed looking at the baby chickens, ducks, and turkeys. They were sold out rabbits. Good prices on vegetable and fruit starts to plant in my garden. Wide variety, too.

Except for a little des to the right of the door were the have set up a little desk with all the papers and keys for the U-hauls they rent. I've had trouble with U-Hauls corporate shops on more than one occasion. I once got a U-Haul that was spitting gas out of the sixth cylinder. That made the shop all the more wonderful. The owner mainly work the weekend and we were lucky enough to have med them. They do the same inspection on the trucks they rent out as they do for their own trailers when they are hauling horses. One of the owners was telling us how if she finds anything wrong she calls the U-Haul mechanic who is a little man that can fix anything according to her to come out and make sure everything is perfect before she will rent out a truck. They take pride in their work and the service they provide whether it be in the TAC shop or as a neighborhood U-Haul dealer. I highly recommend getting ant trucks or vehicles you need to move or hall good and materials from them. It was a great experience and they were very helpful.

Most of what we needed was all placed outside in their garden shop. We picked up tomato, cucumber and pepper plants. Fencing to ward off squirrels, chemical spray to ward off insects, a trellis and some soil. The girl at the counter in the garden shop didn't really know much but she was willing to ask other employees and search her phone for the location of the items we could not readily find. She was helpful. We also purchased a clay pot to transplant our catcus. They didn't have a huge selection but we did find one we like that will work. All in all it was an easy trip, got everything we were looking for and wete in and out. Prices were like all prices (high) but i assume within today's normal. Plenty of parking, plenty of carts of varying sizes to meet your needs.

J-Town Hardware is your typical home-town hardware store, and I love it!…read more Situated near the main intersection in J-Town, the store has a storied, legacy feel to it, as if it's been there for generations and it keeps getting handed down from one generation to the next. It's the kind of place where, no matter what you're looking for, someone on staff knows exactly where it is, and that's exactly what happens every time I walk in. Need an old-style BUS fuse to replace a blown one? They've got it and they'll take you right to it. Need some self-sealing stem bolts? They've got those, too. Fabricated half-inch pipe? You betcha! Parking is a breeze. There are a few municipal spaces out front, and then additional parking along the alley next to the building and in the back. The staff knows what they have, and also has suggestions if you're not sure what approach to take for a project/problem/emergency you're facing, and at very reasonable prices! Yea, you could drive a couple miles away to save a few pennies on something...or you could just get it here and not have to worry about driving up Taylorsville Road. The store looks like it's been added on to a time or two while you walk from one room into another. It's muchly larger than it looks from the street, and the building has a ... personality to it. The kind of personality that comes from decades...generations, even...of helping people with all their hardware needs.

I took my mower in this year and they replaced a bad cap for the gas and tuned the mower replacing some thing's needed and sharping the blade etc. However, the cap leaked gas as I mowed. I took the mower back and was shown the cap was not the issue as I had thought. The gas tank was compromised inside for the ridges to tighten the cap. They had a used tank right there available. It was installed same day and only charge for the tank at a very very good price. I mowed yesterday and the mower was great. Started quickly and mowed level, quickly and no gas leaks. Wonderful place, friendly, professional and helpful. I would recommend for your needs.
