I was told yesterday, December 31st, that I could not purchase anything from the hurstborne Petco…read more I was told this by the Asst Mgr. Shannon per Shawn the Store Mgr. I told her that I was purchasing treats for my dogs for christmas, just a one time thing and she refused to let me buy anything. I spend hundreds of dollars in that store for grooving , dog food, vital care and treats. for my two dogs After an incident with one of their groomers treating me and talking to me with disrespect in the summer of 2025, I told the mgr Shawn that I wasn't coming back. Instead of handling the situation better and apologizing after her groomers tone with me, she told me NOT TO RETURN. She has awful customer service and shouldn't manage any business. I now take my dogs to PetSmart for their grooving and I buy their dog food at Tractor Supply where the people at both stores are very nice and treat me with respect. I have been buying my dog treats at Krogers. I have two dogs and I use to my dogs to vital care since 2021. I even told my brother about vital care. After this altercation with Petco I use vital care and I canceled their services. I now take my dogs to my vet for their shots. In essence, The hurstborne Petco store IS NOT A PLACE THAT ANY PET OWNER should SHOP AT ESPECIALLY WITH PEOPLE LIKE SHANNON AND SHAWN MANAGING IT.

Was approached disrespectfully after being accused by a customer as well. I assume it's because I am covered in tattoos that I don't look like I can pay for a bag of repti-soil. I have been a customer for 10+ years but due to that experience, I will not be returning.

Hounds Tooth & Cats Meow is absolutely wonderful!! Carla & her staff are truly amazing. I am so…read morethankful to have found a lady like Carla to work with us & our Ragdoll cat, Lola. Carla is the most passionate, loving & caring human l've encountered in a long time. Her assistant was such a beautiful lady as well. I couldn't be more pleased w/our experience. This may be a long review but I believe it has important info within: You don't necessarily have to have your cat put under anesthesia for grooming! I wish I had known Carla sooner as our Lola is a senior & we needed to have her shaved when we first got her for mats. She will take the time & care to work w/your pet because she wants to keep them safe & loves them. Carla made sure I was able to obtain the proper/common medication for anxiety & it worked perfectly to help her w/the car ride & grooming. She & her staff care so much about animals that they will keep your pet for as many hrs as it may take to ensure that they are comfortable, feel secure, take breaks, etc. We should keep in mind that when we take out pets to the groomer, it's about them & not so much about us. However, Carla is such a beautiful lady that she made me feel like family as well. Lola came out beautifully groomed, content, so calm & acted like a diva for days! She didn't even try to take her bow out. She loves her fur being freshly groomed. My mother lived in a rural area & yet paid the same prices for her Persian to be groomed. So, the pricing is completely fair AND well worth it! Cat groomers are very hard to find especially a team that loves them the way Hounds Tooth & Cats Meow does! Our pets need their dental hygiene addressed too. Carla introduced us to a fantastic dental gel on the same day after cleaning Lola's teeth to prevent buildup. Dental surgeries are expensive & more importantly, put our senior pets at risk with anesthesia. Her products are phenomenal for their coats, skin & allergies as well. I've also never smelled a better fragrance than what was used during grooming. I'd really like to buy some of that fragrance too! There are so many services as well as adorable clothing in store too. We are thinking of boarding Miss Lola here while on a vacation which says it all! I've never left her anvwhere but the AirBNB won't allow cats! When pets visit Hounds Tooth & Cats Meow, they honestly want to stay! That's not just my experience w/Lola. Lola is a sweetheart by nature but gets a little anxious in her carrier & around grooming equipment. However, between the Rx medicine & the highly skilled, trusted & experienced groomers here; she got an "Angel Award."

They made numerous excuses for why they charged such an excessive amount to groom three Standard Poodles. I've never paid almost $700 to groom three dos. What is worse, they did a terrible job of grooming my dogs. I will never use them again! I would recommend that no one uses their services. Hopefully they will go out of business.

Weedon had a great time and look fabulous after the grooming. So, thank you woof Gang team for such a 5-star service that clearly made a difference as He was so refreshed and happy after the grooming. Taylor Brown was our groomer and she did a fantastic job! The bandana was adorable and my boyfriend was so busy that day with meetings. That I am actually super excited that I was able to provide weedon with some support by driving him to his groomers that day. We will continue to take Weedon to Woof Gang...Thank you all keep up the good treats, I will buy some of the soccer balls for Weedon next time we're there or next time I make it to Barne's and Nobles...simply adorable! When I got home, I removed a significant amount of loose undercoat hair myself. I spoke with the store manager, who refused a refund and only offered for me to bring my dog back. I called to check on him while he was there and they said he was moving around on the grooming table and he had some mats that was not aware of . When I picked him up I was charged an extra $10. for the Matt's and another extra $10. Because the groomer had to use a shorter leash to keep him still. He gets excited when he sees people and dogs. He loves r everyone!! I ended up paying $100. We have never had issues when he was groomed before. I also found out the groomers are paid on commission- so it behooves them to add on the charges. I just hope the groomer was kind and patient with him and not mean . We will not go back

I have been searching for a female, because I have had better luck training my girls vs my boys. Then today, I saw 'Andy'. Beautiful male dachshund. I was hoping to meet him to evaluate his temperament, and from there decide whether or not I should set something up for him to meet my PoohBear. I patiently stood by his kennel waiting for the woman to get off her phone call. Couldn't tell if she was FaceTiming a friend or just had it on speaker phone. She also did not acknowledge me when I walked into the store. Soon as she was finished on the phone she still ignored me, and I nicely told her that I was interested, and asked if she wouldn't mind getting the little man out of his cage so I could meet him. She looked at me funny, and said 'no, he's sleeping' I then said out loud to my sister that accompanied me today, it was time to leave and I guess I will look elsewhere. The employee watched us leave, locked the front door, then put up a sign. 'Be back in 5' I have been in puppy gram before, and when someone is looking to bring one of those babies home they have never hesitated to get them out of the kennel. Not sure what the problem was today, but someone needs to have a talk with that girl about customer service. There are plenty of reputable breeders within a 50 mile radius, and I will definitely be looking elsewhere
