Fantastic addition to Westport Village! They have really high quality toys, collars, treats and more. Great fresh baked goodies for the pups too. They carry one of the best pet bed brands ever - Bowsers. I have a Bowsers bed that's probably ten years old and in perfect condition after many machine washes. Well worth the price tag! I can't wait to get another one here for my dogs. This is just the kind of boutique we need so make sure to support them! read more

Pretty store Iv been a couple times and no one there seems exuberant or frankly helpful however with this said the puppy loved the cake it was seemingly made well and the treats we like the small thin ones. I seen this establishment a few years ago when we were eating at tikka house. It's located conveniently in that shopping plaza. The treats are hand made and look so delicious even though they are for dogs lol. It was my Australian shepherds 3rd birthday, so we decided to go here and get him a bone cake. We also got our other pup a bone treat so she didn't feel left out lol. They can personalize the treats if you wish, and it doesn't take long at all. If you are wanting a big order, or a bigger cake for your dog, you need to call ahead of time so they can prepare it. The man working the desk was pretty friendly for the most part. Another cool perk about this place is you can bring your furry friend with you(I believe a leash is required). They also have a variety of toys, beds, and other pet friendly items. This place is absolutely adorable!!! I stopped in for the first time just before Valentine's Day to get some special treats for my fur babies. As soon as I stepped thru the door I smelled bakery smells! I can just imagine how my pups would react! Their selection was incredible and prices are reasonable. They also carry a selection of treats by the pound, doggie outfits and accessories, as well as decorations! I am reluctant to even give one star but no other way to leave a review. My family lives in the area and we have been paying customers here several times over the past few years since we have dogs and my kids ask to go here for special treats often. I have had other negative experiences in the past but try to give people the benefit of the doubt as to why they appear to be miserable people. But, we will visit no more! I was just in with my son asking if the owner would like to donate an item for a dog themed silent auction basket for his baseball team. The store is loaded with items mind you, not some small batch establishment. My son was dressed very nicely in a school shirt and his baseball hat. He respectfully asked for a moment of the owner's time and the owner agreed, but as soon as my son started talking he very rudely cut him off and said he had other customers insinuating my son was the one being rude and only donates to actual charities. This is a 16 year old student in his community who loves dogs! He completely humiliated my son loudly in front of me and other customers. He was a complete jerk! We thought of his business as a local business we could highlight and were only asking for a few free treats, etc. But we will NEVER step foot in here again! read more

The prices can be a little on the high side, but I feel like thats to be expected when it comes to smaller dog/pet boutiques. I have been in here a few times with my wife and neighbors. I think the idea is a clever one, but the items are priced much too high. On one occasion, the owner accused my wife's dog of being fat. Read into that what you will. On another occasion, the owner accused my neighbor of not coming in often enough, supporting his business, which is a local one. I love local businesses as much as anyone, and I'm a proponent in many ways. But an owner should never try and guilt a customer into coming back and paying exorbitant prices for items that can be bought nearly anywhere else. We also considered using one of their rooms for a dog's birthday party. Yeah, I know it sounds silly, but it sounded even sillier once the owner promised to check on the calendar and call us back...and never did. And honestly, I'm okay with that, because he was so aloof to being with, claiming December was so busy and making us feel like it was some special privilege to pay hundreds of dollars to rent some space at his shop. Was here last week buying treats to use for a small two year doggie birthday gathering. Four very small dogs. The store is really very nice looking. The sales clerk and or manager was knowledgeable and helpful. But the treats are TOO expensive. I shall photograph two of the treats. $3.95 and $3.50. Lick n Crunch and Blueberry Muffins. Passing through Louisville, our royal princess needed some road snacks. The shop was very clean and decorated for the holidays, and the two employees were super friendly and our pup who is normally shy sensed they were dog people and wasn't timid at all with the staff. People who know me or see my pictures on Instagram and Facebook, know that I love my dog. They probably also know that my dog is spoiled. And all of that is true. I love my dog, try to give her quality food and treats, and definitely spoil her. So, after seeing Three Dog Bakery on my way out of Paul's, I decided to go in and get a treat for my very spoiled, well-loved dog. Upon entering, the owner said hi and I stated it was my first time in. I asked what he would recommend as a special treat for my dog (thinking he would just point to a cookie or something). He asked what type of dog I had and what I usually give her for treats. This is where my experience went downhill fast. I explained I give her biscuits and jerky (without naming brands) and he then proceeded to tell me that those were "about the worst things you could give your dog." Then, he went behind the counter and pulled out two bags of name brand dog treats (neither of which I actually give my dog) and pointed out all the bad ingredients in them and that they weren't made in the U.S. I tried to explain that those weren't what I give her and what I did give her was made in the U.S., but he just continued on lecturing me very rudely. At this point, I was turned off but decided to go look at the display of various jerky and chewy treats he had. Everything was way overpriced and in fact, I found one of the brands I already give my dog on his shelf for way more than I pay. He kept talking to me from behind the counter fairly rudely. At this point, another customer came in so I made my way to the door and slipped out. I will not be back. If the owner wants to give people advice on what to give their dogs, there is a much friendlier way to do this. Rudely lecturing people, when you are trying to sell them overpriced dog treats, is not the way to run a business. I see that others had similar experiences based on reviews. I definitely do not recommend this place. Find another pet bakery store where people are actually nice. read more

Was a frequent visitor of Three Dog back in the day. It made for a fun little field trip for my dog and the small bulk section contain good treats for training. I also enjoyed the Halloween section and the love and attention that the baker (only woman working there) would give my dog. It was, and still is, pricey for most things. The toys are very overpriced here. Why did I stop going? When I stopped in the last time, the owner (or at least the man who is always working there) gave me a stern talk about me having not been in for a long time, raising his voice at me and even holding up the line. When I mixed dry treats from the bulk area...and he watched me do so withput saying a word until later...I did not see the sign saying not to do so. I had always mixed them before, as it was allowed. So when I approached the register, he flat out lectured me and let me know that if I was still coming in regularly, I would know the rules. I tried diffusing the situation, even offering to return them at which point he was clearly angry. I must have apologized four or five times. When I said I didnt see the sign, he pointed to it and said," You cant see that sign? I put it right up top for EveryonE to see but you cant see it? Can you see it now?" Wow. Ok. This is over a few dog treats which I was paying for! Meanwhile, as Im being talked down to, a line formed behind me but he obviously wasnt concerned about his general treatment of people. I'm so done with this place. The idea is cute but the owner is not customer friendly what so ever. The treats aren't really that healthy in reality, they are packed with tons of sugar and wheat. My main issue is the owner. I walked in the bakery at 10:59 as they open at 11. The doors were open so I went ahead in and the owner yelled "well I guess you can come in were almost open". I immediately left. I was planning to spend some good money there too. The other staff members are really nice, but I don't feel right feeding the owners's pockets especially when he is so rude. Prior to this event I bought pupcakes and they were molded by the next day. Apparently they were suppose to be refrigerated but nobody told me that information. So that was like $15 down the drain. It still concerned me that they molded so quickly. Not sure what they put in those things. Above all, the prices are too high. You can find everything online for way cheaper and you won't have to deal with the dirtbag who owns this place. I really hope the owner can read this and realize he lost money that day. read more

I'm updating my review due to a bad experience. I was heading to my friends house for a get together and it happened to be her dogs birthday. So, I decided to stop in and get her a birthday treat. I showed up when they open, and they were not open... All of the lights were off. So I waited. 15 min passed, still not open. Just as I put my car in reverse, here comes the owner hauling ass on two tires coming in the parking lot. He was going so fast, ripped in next to me almost hitting my car. Needless to say I did not go in. I'm disappointed and will not be back. This is not a respectable way to run a business. If you can't get to work on time hire an employee that can. read more

This is a great place to go if you like to be told, unsolicited, how to care for your pet. A great place to go if you like to be condescended to. I've been to Three Dog many times, because until recently it was the only custom dog bakery in town and my girl likes fancy treats! I've never felt like my business was valued in this store (I'll admit I'm not a huge spender, but I was coming in enough at one point that the staff recognized me). To give an example of the rude behavior of the staff/owner(?), I once bought four or five bakery treats for my dog in one visit (to give her over a period of several days, of course), and the person behind the counter said "you're not gonna feed her all these at once, are you?" Just a completely unnecessary comment that I of course did not have a witty comeback for in the moment, though I thought of several as soon as I left. I'm not sure who this store is trying to cater to, but by alienating responsible pet owners who want to spend their extra money on bakery items for their dogs, they're probably missing the mark. read more

I went in inquiring about a birthday cake for my dogs 16th birthday, which also coincided with the Holiday. When I went in it was empty and no music was playing ( I thought they were closed tbh) then the woman at the front counter called me over. When I told her my situation, and that I was willing to wait till after the holiday to receive the cake she simply said that they couldn't fulfill my order, complete bummer. But I knew that was a possibility, so I settled with some of their cookies which totaled to about half the price of a cake from them( 6 cookies were $14 while a cake was around 20) too expensive for me. I was very disappointed with the customer service here. I came in today with my little pug and instead of being treated nicely, I was treated like a bad dog owner who needed education. I feel like because I didn't wear my nicest outfit I was treated like an idiot who was completely clueless about my own breed. For example, as soon as I walk in the door, I was asked if my dog even had his shots. I was also interrogated by one of the employees about how I care for my dog, like if I clean him right. I love Three Dog Bakery. It's one of my favorite locally owned boutiques because the owner and the chef always remember me and my dogs... even when my dogs aren't with me. They are careful to carry and make only the highest quality products and I love that. After all the pet food recalls hitting the news, I'm nervous to feed my dogs anything that isn't made in the United States... not just distributed by a US company, but MADE in the United States. And Three Dog knows its stuff when it comes to nutrition and quality ingredients. They also have the very best toys and collars and accessories for my dogs. And I love love love bringing personalized dog treats to my friends as housewarming and hostess gifts. So fun! Regarding the very negative review posted below... about the coupon and the cake and such... I can't even believe that happened. I've never had anything other than a wonderful experience at Three Dog. Once, when I hadn't been there in a few months... just because my life had been crazy... the owner very kindly asked why it had been so long since he'd seen me. He wasn't harrassing me... he was trying to understand if his store wasn't meeting my needs. I think that's the sign of a good business person who cares about me as a customer. And I want to shop at stores that are interested in meeting my needs as best they can. Anyway, best store ever! If you have dogs, check out their events. Made my first visit here to pick up a birthday treat for my dog. One of the people working, whom I assume to be one of the owners, asked if it had been a while since I had been in, and I explained that it was my first time coming, but I'd picked up some Three Dog boxed treats at Kroger before. His response was incredibly condescending--he explained that the parent company franchisor manufactures them, and said "that doesn't help us keep our doors open." As an educated consumer, I was already very much aware that products purchased in big box stores are generally not made in local facilities. I was insulted enough by his statement that I wanted to leave, but didn't want to deprive my dog of her birthday treat, so I picked up a large treat for her and a couple of smaller treats for our friends. If I could give a negative rating I would. This establishment hosts an annual Halloween costume contest. It advertises weeks in advance, and has TV and Radio Personalities judge winners. Well, My dog won. I received a gift certificate for the first in show category for $75.00. I used part of it a while ago, and lost track of where I put it. Recently, I discovered it while cleaning out my car - in my glovebox. My dog is turning 16 tomorrow. I thought it would be a cute idea to have a sweet 16 party. I remembered I had the gift certificate and thought I would see if they would honor it to go towards a doggie cake and goodie bags for the guests.( I emphasize "towards" because the bakery is very overly priced.) So, upon arrival I met the owner at the counter. I showed him the gift certificate and asked him if he would honor it, giving him every opportunity to say no. He said he would honor it, even though it has been "2" years (which it wasn't). I asked if he had a cake and he was able to come up with one for me. I then proceeded to the case, where I was in my mind constructing doggie goodie bags. As i was picking out different cookies, that is when I experienced the true colors of this business owner. He started questioning me of my whereabouts, in what I took as a very condescending way. But, I gave him the benefit of the doubt, knowing he was a professional businessman who clearly wouldn't speak to his customer that way. Well, I was wrong. He then proceeded to ask me if I shopped for my treats at "Feeders" since he never saw me. That confirmed his unprofessionalism and patronizing ways to me! I then decided he could keep his treats, and his gift certificate! I will NEVER do business in his shop again, and hope others will learn from my experience.
