A trip to Tractor Supply is a nostalgic-filled shopping adventure for me. Nostalgic because I grew up on a small truck farm (vegetable farm for you city folk) and then had my own farm for 30 years, raising replacement Heifers and every other farm animal you want to name....well, no goats. So strolling up and down the fully stocked aisles of TS is a stroll down memory lane for me...remembering the time I had to chase down cattle that had escaped their enclosure or repairing tractors and harvesting gear. You see, Tractor Supply has just about any of the things you need to do the kind of work required on a farm...or even in your own small backyard garden. Hey, even if you just want to feed the birds outside your window, TS has the feeders, the nesting boxes, and shelf after shelf of seeds and feed. There's dog food, cat food, horse and other livestock feeds and supplies. There's a section for durable clothing (Carhartt and others) plus the requisite John Deere gear. And snack for the kiddos who are along for the stroll. Staff - friendly, courteous, helpful and ready to assist any way you need. Parking - BIG lot with spaces for Veterans (thank you!) and Handicapped and....well, space for everyone in this area that once housed a local supermarket. (#sadday when they had to close) There simply is no way to summarize all the nuts and bolts and repair parts, compressors, wagons, wheels....oh my! Just stop in and see for yourself. And, while I no longer have a farm or garden...it's still a welcome's trip just to stroll the aisles of Tractor Supply.

Hard to see in photo but this is the flooded tub.

In some regards this review is a variation of a "toss-up" aka Heads or Tails. And the outcome very…read morewell could be dependent on customer service. In previous excursions to HD stores at various locations over the years and across the US, my experiences have run the gamut of fantastic (Heads) to Absolutely Awful (Tails) to Phenomenally Disrespectful (Lost the Coin). Bottom line for the most part is my perception is that Customer Service often is reflective of managerial training and support of local staff...and that goes all the way to the top of the HD Chain. (IMHO respect for Veterans often touted in their ads, needs to be more honest and more consistent. I'm not looking for a handout...just the respect HD says it provides....but only sometimes.) Fortunately, for this specific Franklin Home Depot and this curbside trip, Customer Service was a "Heads." It came with prompt, courteous attention to my purchase and the process of pickup. The store had what I ordered on line (in stock) and they delivered it curbside only minutes after arriving and checking in (via phone). The process of checking is was a bit cumbersome, but it worked! And ultimately it worked well. Heads!

Staff are hard to find, and when you do they aren't super helpful. Aisles seem to constantly be blocked and you can't easily access what you are looking for. Their garden section is pretty good, but the inside store, not so much. All in all, I'd happily drive 20-30 minutes to a different location... but that's just me.

I stated I what I was looking for and he directed me to the right place. Once I ready to check out this rude Indian lady started to check me out. I had a gift card, when I went to pay, she did not speak English well and told me I had to give her the pin. I had not scratched that off the back of the card, so I simply asked her if she had anything that I could scratch off the area with she said no rudely. I said do you have a coin she said rudely again no I said you have a pen. She said no the third time I said, do you have scissors or anything that I can scratch it off with? I don't have anything and she raised her voice and said no again. She was extremely hateful. I don't even understand why your company would hire someone who could not speak English well and who did not have any Customer Service skills. I would think that would be a quality you would need to work with the public. I suggest the manager retrain Anusha the Indian rude lady to know how to treat customers. After all this is Franklin not Antioch.

Our of the big box home improvement retailers, I am a Lowe's guy through and through for a few reasons. Pricing is the first, I seem to find better deals, especially clearance deals at Lowe's. Second is service, which tends to be decent at all the stores, this one included. My office is not far from here, so anytime I need to scoop something up for a project, I do so on the way home as I pass right by traveling down Mallory. My favorite section here is the grill section. I have gotten sooooo many grill items and accessories from this Lowe's. There is always something I forget or am interested in. This location is good on stocking as well. There has never been a time where what I was after was not on the shelf. They keep the store, inside and out, in good condition and clean. Overall, solid Lowe's location that comes in clutch when needed!

We ordered a toilet from Home Depot for a home remodel and waited ... and waited ... and waited …read more.. for a month. They had promised to deliver the toilet in four days!! We tracked the order which was tantalizingly close to Nashville after a week, sitting on the outskirts of town in La Vergne for a few days. Why wasn't it moving? We probably should have driven down and swiped it. Because next, it traveled to Virginia to New Jersey to Dallas to Virginia again. It continued its cross-country adventure through various states before arriving at our house a month late, interfering significantly with our remodel schedule! After considering for years to switch to Home Depot's main competitor just 7,007 feet away, we finally had the last straw. After spending hundreds of thousands of dollars at this singular location for a decade's worth of remodels and being perpetually disappointed, the 2026 ice storm hit Nashville. Tenuously making our way over the ice and out of our neighborhood, we were thankful to find Home Depot opened with the rest of Cool Springs being a ghost town. We desperately needed a generator after losing power, and they were prepared with stacks of them by the front door along with space heaters and flashlights. We had a $500 generator rung up and asked the employee how to use it, being a style of generator we had never used before. This bear of a man his grumbled "Look it up in the Internet!" There were no other customers, there was no reason to rush us out of the store, everyone was desperate in the middle of an unparalleled power outage in Middle Tennessee, and the brusque attitude was completely uncalled for. Look it up on the Internet? HEY, DUMMY! We have no power, no heat, no hot water, no Internet, and no cell service. How do you recommend we "look it up" on the Internet. Needless to say, we shall never return.

And some things don't change. Biggest frustration for me is to go online to see if an item might be in stock. Then jot down the aisle and bin number and go to the store only to find out that the information I wrote down was incorrect. My solution -- simply check the store app and map....Same issue there: every item was off by at least one aisle. And when I checked for with a staff member. (Who was polite & congenial).... He said "I don't know where they have that today you might check...so and so area." Problem? Uh... I had already checked there and it's not where he guessed it might be. Check out? Another pain in the neck headache. First machine would not accept my loyalty number, so clerk entered it manually. Then the machine refused three times to accept my payment. Again, clerk who has been there, 10 years, said "it's always like this." Plans? Not coming back here too soon.
