New to the area I took my two Yorkies in. I explicitly stated TO COLLEEN ----the groomer---the last time I took them to a PetSmart in a different city --They made them look like Chihuahuas!!! This is the absolute worst place to go. I've taken my dog here many times to get his nails cut with no problem. This time I took him and the girl has the nastiest, rudest attitude. I watched from the window and she was squeezing his paws so hard and twisting them he was screetching so loud because it was hurting him. It made me so sick. He has never bite a single person or animal and he turned and bit down NOT HARD because she was physically hurting him to the point I had my husband run in there and get him out of there. She said " he clamped down my whole hand" that is false bc I watched the whole thing. If you want your dog hurt and want to be around horrible horrible dog workers this is the place to be other wise save your money and go somewhere where they are cared for and your dogs won't be anxious around these awful people !!!!!! I wish I could give negative stars. I took my labradoodle on a Saturday to get washed and have his nails trimmed. FOUR HOURS later I hadn't heard from them so I went to check in and see if everything was ok (it was just a bath not a grooming!) They still weren't finished with him and when I saw him through the window, his tail was shaved down to the skin and a groomer was aggressively combing his ears. This experience was traumatic! He won't let me come near his tail with a brush now. I DO NOT recommend getting your dog groomed here, especially on a busy weekend. read more

*This is specific to the grooming service* We had an appointment with Jake at the Brentwood location. It was our pups first grooming appointment, he was a little nervous and Jake did NOT give him any time to warm up before picking him right up and putting their leash on him. He was busy which is understandable!! However, did not seem to know what service we were there for or what our pups needs were. With all that being said, our pup came out with his nails clipped & filed, got a spritz of cologne & felt very soft! Service comes with a bandana and we were asked if we wanted one, only after returning home did we realize his ears were not cleaned as specified in the service description, so we unfortunately have no way of knowing if any of the services outside of bathing & nail trim were done. We've taken our Coton de Tulear 'Huxley' here for grooming several times with satisfactory results, but today was the best. This was his first grooming with Michaela C and she did a wonderful job! (and Coton's are not easy to groom). His cut is perfectly even, nails trimmed nicely, and he smelled great! Also with the Express service he was ready in less than 2 hrs. So I went into this pet smart today around 12:30ish and I was going to buy the cage for my animal, well when I walked to the isle it showed only one on the shelf and that it was $42.49 and so I got excited thinking yay it's on sale and then noticed the box was kinda damaged and taped up so I figured that's why it was on sale, and so I carried it to the front register and grabbed a couple other items and went to check out. Well lone behold it rings up as $118.99 and I am like wait! That's not the price of the tag over on the isle and I took him to show him and so he investigated it and he told me I can't give it to you for the $42.49 but probably $62 because there was another tag underneath it... well I asked to speak to the manager as it doesn't hurt to ask about the price difference and so she comes to the front her name: ( Diane) and I take her to the isle to show her where it was and the price and she starts having an attitude with me and telling me that you can clearly see it's not the same item if you read it, and we were standing up looking at the shelf on the lowest level they have and you can't read it at all and that's what I told her... so she said okay let's go to the front and see what it's ringing up for and I will give you a discount and I agreed to see and we went to the front and it comes up as $118.99 and she said I can give it to you for $100, but not the $42.49 and I said so your not going to honor the price? And she said no, I will not honor it because it wasn't the same item on the tag, etc and she was rude and I told her she needed to honor it as that's the right thing to do, and she wouldn't do it, so I told her that I am going to contact her store manager and make a complaint and that I would not shop here again nor will I tell others to come and I am making reviews, to let people know how rude they are here and what an attitude she had with me. So if y'all need anything for your pets, go to Petco as they are a better company and will honor their prices even when it's been a mistake. I just moved here from California and I am shocked to see no southern hospitality or kindness from this person who is supposed to make things right and supposed to be friendly and kind, not rude with an attitude and unwilling to make things right! The boobs in customer service are employed to explain their non-customer friendly policies, not to actually provide service to customers. Any contact with these people is going to be a giant waste of your time. So I purchased a gift card for a relative - online. This was a YUGE mistake. At no time during the process was it explained to me that: 1/ Gift cards are never refundable 2/ It would take 3 WEEKS to get the gift card purchased online During the holiday season, this seems like a policy plucked right out of 1955. I won't get the card in time for Christmas, let alone in time to mail it to someone else by Christmas, which was the plan. I called to ask them to invalidate the card, which would allow me to pop down to the retail store to replace it. This would allow me to put it in the Christmas box being mailed today. The reply? No. Because that's the policy. This will be the last money I spend, as long as I'm alive, at Petsmart. In future, I will drive 50 miles out of my way to spend my pet dollars at a different pet chain. I took my Pomeranian there Friday to have her nails clipped & filed down. I told two young ladies I wanted her paw pads trimmed. When we got her back her paw pads had not been touched. Really sick and tired of the terrible customer service here ! The ONLY reason I continue to shop here is because I have puppy training here but that ends soon! Every time I ask for help no one is around , and when finally I do get someone they are either completely un knowledgeable or completely rude or both ! I have spent so much money in this place ! Took my dog to be groomed. Booked online. First, no disclosure that weekend rates are $5.00 higher for any services. Also, web site wasn't clear so they didn't actually "groom" my dog. Just gave her a bath and charged $65.00. Manager admitted that the web site was not clear and that when you book online your dog's history is not visible. When I said "just do what we did last time", there was no mention that they didn't know. He even admitted that others have complained as well. In the end, manager would not make it right other than to put me on a weeks long waiting list. Poor form. We won't be back. read more

I never go to this location, but was right around the corner today and thought what the heck. I rescued an Eclectus parrot last night and needed supplies so I stopped in. I was pleasantly surprised to find everything I needed and then some reduced for quick sale at great prices. I begin to leave and walk past a bird display with a young sun conure sitting a top a perch. I glance at him and notice that something is seriously wrong with him. He was grabbing at his head and pulling his beak open as far as it would go while wobbling on his perch like he was unstable. I am no expert but am very experienced with birds and have worked as a vet nurse for many years. I brought the conures actions to the attention of the staff and they said they would take the bird to the vet, then informed me while I was checking out that they couldn't take it to the vet because the manager was off until tomorrow. This bird needed to be seen NOW! K tell the girl that he needs to be seen and she says " if he makes it to tomorrow we will have him seen" wow what a regard for life! I should have stayed with my regular PETsMART store. At least they pay attention to sick animals and get them treated. read more

Yes!!! I am a fan!!! Me and my dogs love visiting this location :) I have always saved coming here, between coupons and their sales! Last bill, I saved $35 off my bill so I am not complaining! The staff is always there to assist you with questions or concerns. The cashiers are so sweet and friendly! The selection is endless!!! I have NEVER not found what I was looking for. We came to this store today so that we could get my dog groomed. We had an appointment and no difficulties coming to drop him off, he is overweight but nothing too hard to handle and is extremely sweet. The woman working at the groomers when we picked him up told me, to never bring him back because he is too large. I would think people working here would know how to handle all different dogs, this was just an extremely rude encounter and we will not be returning. read more

Horrible experience at this location. We took our miniature schnauzer in for a regular grooming. We got a call to come pick him up as soon as possible. When we got there, our dog had not been bathed, nails had not been clipped, he was partially groomed and had two severely red eyes and bruising over the right eye. And to add insult to injury we were charged the full price of $57. When asked what happened to his eye, the groomer was very quick and short in her answer saying he bit her and was stressed. Not believing stress could result in a black eye and bruising in inner eye, we immediately took our dog to an emergency pet care facility for a second opinion. After a thorough examination the veterinarian determined the injuries were a result of blunt force trauma to the face and eyes. On the other hand, after an "internal" investigation by Pets Mart, they've decided our dog hurt himself. I'm sorry Pets Mart your answer is unacceptable. read more

This is a very large and busy Petsmart. On the weekends they typically will have a dog rescue organization out front and I really respect and appreciate that and feel like the dogs were in good shape and had plenty of staff and volunteers to run these events. Inside the store they have everything you are looking for and more. I have never had any problems with product, price, or selection here. read more

If you're looking for grooming here, save yourself the visit and go to Petco. They're a few bucks cheaper than Petco but after their upcharges it ends up being the same or more expensive. Petco is $60 and the price here was a few dollars cheaper so I figured I would give it a try (ironically grooming is more expensive here than it is in LA). I came, the woman evaluated my dog and said she would have to charge $7 to "get mats out" and some other charges. I just said "no thanks I'll leave, Petco including every other groomer I've ever been to (in LA) has never charged for a little mat." So I left. The girl just said "ok." and chuckled a bit. I was looking around the store after and purchased some goods for my dog and the cashier was complimenting my dog, I told her I was going to get her groomed but I don't like their upcharging me to get a mat out. She said "what mats? I don't even see any! I can understand if she had a lot and it took them an hour to get out but I think your pup looks in good shape." I agreed. Bottom line, I don't like BS. I have been getting my dog groomed for 6 years every six weeks and have never had ANY grooming service charge extra for a little tiny mat on her "pony paws." If that's Petsmart's policy; that's fine but they should be upfront over the phone and they just lost a customer here! It would have been easier for me to just pay the extra money honestly, but it was the principle. They should just charge the same amount Petco does instead of trying to compete with their prices. It's just a marketing ploy to get people to choose them over their competitor. read more

Do not order on line for store pick up. PetSmart charges your card without knowing if they actually have the item in stock. PetSmart says you can pick up soon and then sends an email later that the order was cancelled. Very disappointed. Will order on line from Chewy in the future. read more

This Brentwood/ Cool Springs Petsmart location (near Franklin) is pretty good. There's plenty of parking. The store is spacious and well-lit and clean. I've been to this PetSmart to have my pup groomed many times, but after our most recent visit I don't think I'll be taking him again. I have a one year old Westie. We don't typically give him a traditional Westie cut because I don't like the skirt, it tangles too easily. So we usually do a short shave with a Westie cut on his head. This time, when I went to pick him up his head was cut like a Schnauser and he was shaved so short that I had to buy him a sweater because it's starting to get cold out. The worst part though is that he seems traumatized days later. I think they may have been rough with him - he hasn't been himself since then. To be safe I think we'll go somewhere else next time or I'll learn how to do it myself. read more

Usually we love going to Petsmart, especially with our Puggle puppy but today my boyfriend had the worst experience at the Franklin Petsmart. After having a terrible evening that overlapped into the morning, he decided to try and cheer himself up before work by picking out a new toy for our puppy. He finally picked one and walked up to the register. Stood there 5 minutes before making eye contact with the groomer WHO CONTINUED TO LET HIM STAND THERE WITH NO SERVICE. Being in the service industry, he patiently waiting knowing they were busy. Another 5 minutes passed and he saw no one and was approached by no one. Gave it 5 more minutes because he really wanted to turn his day around and get this toy for Halsey. Finally, an employee walked in with some Starbucks. They avoided eye contact and left him there for another 5 minutes before he finally just left. Even more depressed than before. I know you guys don't care but thanks for making his already terrible morning even worse. We won't be back. read more

Came here bc it was the closest groomer that would take a cat. Crystal was super friendly and helpful - can tell she loves the animals that come in and she was so gentle giving our 1yr old cat her first trim :) you can watch from the glass window as they work, which my kids loved!
