    Mom I need a haircut!

So sad that this didn't work out. I had heard it was a new fresh and good, professional place. I was actually driving from downtown just to come here but they have now canceled on me twice, both times they called the day before my appointment. First time they got me a new time a few days later but this time they said their next availability was in June (it's now April 13th) they also cancel my appointment in May since one of the groomers I had seen quit. Just not reliable enough. I have a puppy that needs a regular cut so I'm gonna have to find a new place again.

After a quick prayer and another google search Four Paws appeared. Kisses was in a big need of a nail trim. Only open for a few weeks, and tucked behind the shell station. Telling me what time to arrive- The staff greeted us with a big hello. They asked me to wait in the car and would come get me once they finished up. Fast friendly service. Reasonably priced.

Love this place! I've scheduled several times and never been disappointed. I even ran a few mins late and still picked up on time. I have 2 pups that have a lot of hair and I am always astonished on the detail of the trims. First time in over 15 years have I found a place that treats my babies like they are theirs!!!!

Back home after a grooming visit

We are getting ready to go on vacation with our dog and she needed to be groomed. She has been looking scruffy. Most of the time I groomer her myself but I'm not good at it. When I clip her nails she kicks the entire time. She does better when someone else grooms her, at least they say she behaves well. Petsmart didn't have any appointments available for three weeks and I didn't have time to take her to her boarding groomer so I was going to have to groom her myself. I have an addiction to the tea at Starbucks. When I was picking up my tea from Starbucks a few mornings ago I see this big sign with an arrow advertising Four Paws Pet Spa. I got excited at first and then thought to myself that there would probably be a waiting list. I took a chance and called. I was super excited that there was an opening. I called last week and my dog's appointment was today. When I arrived, Sarah was very friendly and greeted my dog, Padmé, with enthusiasm. That put me at ease immediately. I always get nervous when I take her to be groomed because she stays mad at me for the rest of the day. I dropped her off and discussed when to come pick her up. We agreed on two hours later. After two hours when I went to pick her up, I asked if she behaved. Sarah said she was good and she was sleeping. She was in a big gated area and very relaxed. Usually when I call her she gets excited and is ready to go home but when I called her name she just opened her eyes. That made me super happy. She was so happy and relaxed she didn't even raise her head when I arrived. The best part is when I took her home she didn't knock my pillows off the bed. That is our dog's go to "I'm mad at you" move. This will definitely become our permanent grooming facility from now on. Sarah is a pro and I couldn't ask for a better grooming experience for my dog. Padmé was happy and she looked fabulous. I'm so happy to find such a wonderful grooming experience.

Rash my dog received on two separate occasions after being groomed at Four Paws.

PSA: My dog has been there twice and has left both times with an inflamed rash on her stomach. Sara, the owner was snarky and disinterested in resolving the problem. The last time I took my dog in, she refused to enter.

Sarah runs a top notch business with customer service as their number one priority. They do their best to make sure your pet comes home looking great. I have been to other groomers in the area and I can now say that I have found my groomer. Give them a try and I am very confident that you will be as satisfied as I am every time.

We wanted just a short trim, just a touch up. We asked for a specific guard size, and described how he just needed his coat evened out. The gentlemen decided to tell us what we would prefer and his recommendation. Though we didn't ask for it. We politely thanked him for his input, then insisted we wanted to keep his coat longer. As well our golden was 3 1/2 weeks out of neutered surgery, his incision was far enough closed that our vet said we could take him to be groomed and bathed. However, we were keeping the soft cone on as it was keeping him from agitating the area. We asked it stay on, and the gentlemen then lectured us how he doesn't muzzle dogs and he thinks cones are malicious. you're a dog groomer that I'm paying, you're not my vet not licensed as a vet and I personally don't care how you choose to take care of your animals. It's not your place to lecture us on how we care for our animal! When we picked our pup up, he was shaven. Even had bald patches on his belly where the cut was terribly uneven. The worst part of it all. His whiskers were shaven down. (Golden retrievers whiskers should never be cut. They still haven't grown back!) My dog was scared, he had been kept in a crate in the back. To top it all off, I had to ask for the soft cone back. As they never had it on him while he was there. it was kept on the counter- unmarked. I had to describe it so the teenager at checkout could go find it and grab it for us. They lost 2 dog customers that visit. Our pup will never go back, as well my in-laws down the street have agreed they are not taking their cane corso/ Great Dane back. Ownership or management must have changed, it use to be such a nice place. Our dog is our family, it's my son. I don't need to be lectured on how to take care of him. That's between our vet and our family. If I choose a haircut, that doesn't mean chose your own instead. Lastly, if I tell you how best to care for my animal, the last thing you do is chose your own path. Irresponsible, careless, rude, unprofessional. You all can kiss my ass. If you love your animal as we do, don't take them there. My reviews are all honest, and I never leave bad feedback. This was truly terrible. I had to speak up.

Specifically, pulling on walks to the point that my neck and shoulders hurt, and barking/lunging at dogs while walking. I'd done training with other people/organizations but was not consistent with it, and therefore her behavior regressed and actually got worse. I'd also read various dog training books, but nothing worked. I found GlobalK9 and the K9 Experts online and could tell right off that they had a ton of experience with German shepherds and Belgian malinois and figured they could help. I got a call from Matt Burnett and he was very interested in my goals for my dog and got me a consultation the following weekend. After two private classes, they got me plugged with the intermediate group class and I was so impressed with how much Nyx improved each week!! Not only did they teach my dog the commands, but they also taught me how to communicate with my dog and convey my expectations to her. She's a more happy and balanced dog now, and continually improves as the days and weeks go on! It's clear that The K9 Experts love dogs and love what they do! I tell every dog parent I meet about them and can't recommend them enough!!!
