Grace has been a godsend for us and our dog. We adopted a rescue that has severe resource guarding issues and had not been socialized with people nor dogs. He's a unique dog, and for a while we weren't sure we would ever find someone who could effectively and safely handle him, but Grace was able to not only speak his language - but also safely integrate him into walks with other dogs and help muzzle train him. She quickly became his favorite person and was one of the only people he trusted. Grace went beyond the walks and basic training and would sometimes ask if she could take him overnight to get him used to being around different dogs (hers) and people. He always loves these sleepover and has learned to better read other dogs and communicate as a result. Our boy has come a long way, and we owe so much of that to Grace and Lucky Dog! read more

We had to find a kennel in a rush because of an unexpected situation. We called all the kennels we knew of but they were full, so we went looking at the "unknowns". This turned out to be the perfect place for our dog. Jeff and Grace keep great control over the animals, and keep the numbers way down. Our dog was unsure of herself for the first day or so, but quickly joined the pack because I believe she felt very safe at this place. Great big fenced areas to play in, and best of all communal sleeping on furniture! She felt right at home. Highly recommend this place. Lucky Paws Tennessee has been the biggest blessing for me and my dog. I travel a lot for work and my dog always goes to Grace's house when I am out of town. My 8 month old border collie mix has been "working" full time with Grace for the last month. He's very high energy and it's been so difficult to find the right "job" for him. I work long hours and he would destroy the house if not crated so I needed a full day out of the house option. Our SPCA trainer recommended Grace! Grace picks him up around 9am and drops him off around 4pm. He has started sitting near the door around 8:45am and his ears go up the minute he thinks she's coming up the stairs. He clearly adores her and is beyond ecstatic to say hello when she arrives. The van they ride in is clearly meant for dogs, it's large and spacious and has ceiling vents of some sort. Her partner stays in the van while she gets the dogs, which is nice to know they aren't left alone, plus she never seems rushed picking up or dropping off so we get to chat briefly about his day. He's always happy and tired when he gets home which is hard to achieve with his breed. I love seeing all of this adventure pics on Luckdogsanfrancisco's instagram. Makes me happy to see him going to different parks and trails everyday! He loves variety. Plus I like seeing what other pups he's hanging out with. I have been using lucky dog for a couple of years now, and I have to say when Grace says "we treat your pets like family" she is not kidding. Since day 1, Grace has demonstrated genuine interest in getting to know my dog, and making sure she is getting exercised, socialized, and a fair share of mental stimulation. As Kana is my first rescue, Grace has been especially helpful to coordinate with on special training and figuring a good balance between meals and treats. I kind of like to think we "all got to know each other" at the same time, and Kana couldn't be happier getting picked up in the morning, and coming home to us in the afternoon. On top of the personal connection, I have to say that Lucky Dog is reliable and gives me a lot of piece of mind as a full time worker. I know well in advance of holidays, have very reasonable policies, and they really stand out by addressing most of my questions in the same day. Lastly, the Lucky Dog Instagram account keeps me connected with my dog throughout the day. Maybe to sum it up: the last time I moved I based my entire search on being able to stay within Lucky Dog's service range - the quality of life it provides to both my dog and myself is just too good to let go of! read more

I am writing this review as I have observed Grace many times as she brings her pack to the dog park in Golden Gate Park. As a dog owner, I tend to watch dog walkers as they bring their packs into public dog parks. Grace impressed me right from the start. She is upbeat and friendly with all of the dogs in her pack and reinforces their behavior with a gentle tone and dog treats. I have never heard her raise her voice with any of the dogs in her pack. She also has GREAT command of all the dogs. When she calls them, they usually respond within a few seconds. If your dog is one of Grace's pack, he/she is in GREAT hands! read more

Grace is one of the best dog walkers I have had the pleasure of working with, and our dog loves her! She cares a great deal about the wellbeing of our little Hazel and makes sure to take her out for a decent amount of time. Grace is warm and reliable and our dog Max loves her. Not only does Max come home tired and happy every day, he has also become more affectionate and playful since joining the Lucky Dog pack. He was never the most social dog with other dogs and had a lot of anxiety, due to being a rescue. But under Grace's care, Max has become more confident and puppy like even at his older age. Grace provided thorough updates after every walk while he was getting adjusted and has always let me know if something out of the ordinary happened. She also posts pictures to Instagram daily. I cannot overstate how amazing Grace is. She's so kind, gentle, patient, flexible and just overall an absolute delight. Grace has been walking and dog-sitting my two dogs since November 2017 and I'm so glad she's in our lives. Once she started walking, my older dog dropped under 40lbs for the first time in 5 years. She was 38lbs when I got her in 2011 and had been hovering around 44lbs for the last few years. I've noticed a positive change in the behavior of both of my dogs since they started walking with Grace. My Foxhound now responds to "Come!" and my chihuahua doesn't bark at strangers as frequently. Grace has also been kind enough to incorporate morning feedings into her routine. She said it helps bond her with the dogs. She's also communicative and transparent if anything unexpected happens during the walks. For example, my chihuahua recently got stung by a bee on a walk. Grace told me as soon as it happened and coordinated care with me. She even checked up on him in the afternoon to make sure he didn't have a reaction. Overall, Grace is thoughtful, considerate and thorough. She's easy to trust and rely on. Her pricing is right in the middle by San Francisco standards. We've been with Lucky Dog since February 2018. They've been absolutely amazing since day 1 and we're so lucky to have them our lives. They proactively update us on how our dog is doing via text, even if our dog has a rough day. We know that our dog can be sometimes a handful as she lots of energy, wants to meet every dog, but can play a little rough, thus, requires breaks or 1 on 1 attention. Based on the feedback we get from them, we can tell they truly care for our dog and give her the care and attention that she needs. They really do go above and beyond. A great example is when our dog got sick and wasn't allowed to be around other dogs. The timing was great as my spouse was traveling work and my boss wasn't very thrilled about me working from home. Without asking, they offered to do 1 on 1 walks which was an absolute lifesaver (thank you again!!!!) I don't even know where to start! I have so many wonderful things to say about Grace/ Lucky Dog. Grace is absolutely amazing, and I can't recommend her enough. We rescued our dog Kiki in Los Angeles and just a couple months after adopting her had to relocate to San Francisco. The move was hard for her, and she definitely had a hard time trusting new people and even other dogs. Grace was completely understanding and so willing to work with her through her trust issues. Grace really took her time to get to know Kiki had allow her to get comfortable, first with just her and then slowly integrating Kiki into the pack. At this point, Kiki basically sits by the front door in the morning and starts whining with excitement when Grace gets here. Grace has been amazing to us over the past year - she is so compassionate towards all the dogs and is incredibly professional in all of her communications. Gracie took fantastic care of our pup, Wrigley. She walked him for about a year, and during that time was flexible with us, and devoted to him. Gracie was observant of changes in Wrig's behavior, and noticed if something was awry. She was always on time, and we never had a moment of concern that he was either unsafe or unloved.
