I was a new widow who went to buy a personal protection dog for my home. I met Courtney and saw a few dogs that were available to me in my price range. I was given the option to purchase one of the trainer's personal dog who was 3 years old. I was told she was a level 4 protection dog and I purchased her for 11 k. I have since had bite work training with Global and it took a while for the dog to warm up. She had never been worked on a carjacking scenario, which a level 4 dog should. She is equipment focused and only turns in and focuses at the sight of a sleeve or wedge. I have since had her evaluated by 2 other PSA trainers and have been told at best she is level one. In other words, I cannot put my trust in this dog to protect me and my house. I will have to spend thousands to get her where she needs to be above the amount I already have spent. Highly recommend! Both the facilities and trainers at Global K9 are top notch. We enrolled our German Shepherd puppy in both the basic and intermediate obedience classes which were a huge help with such a high energy breed. We plan on continuing with the advanced classes and beyond. Also, they train all breeds so don't just click past them if you don't have a GSD. If you're looking for knowledgeable, attentive staff, this is the place to go. They are great at answering all your questions and explaining the methodology and reasoning behind the training techniques. Global K9 turned our over-excited out-door Australian Shepherd, into a gentle and patient in-door member of the family. She can now be trusted around our furniture and things (where before she used to chew them) around our guests (where before she used to jump on them) and most importantly, around two new born babies (where we were to scared to let her near them before her Global K9 Training). Living in Orlando, FL, it was tough being away from her for the several weeks while she was away on their Farm being trained (although the frequent photo- and video-updates helped), but it was well worth it! Being away from us for a few weeks straight enabled her to be around us permanently after her return. Thanks Global K9 Protection Services!
