Found this local diner on a road trip. The haddock stew is out of this world. The amount of haddock you get in the stew will blow you away. You must try it. We also had a chicken melt that was awesome. Don't let the decor fool you. One of our best stops so far and very affordable. read more

Let me start by saying, I LOVE places that will serve lunch when it's still breakfast hours! With that, let me say that I didn't go to Traci's Diner once, but I went there twice in one weekend - it's that good. My first visit, I saw lobster items all over the place...lobster omelet, lobster Benedict, lobster roll - wait, lobster roll, for breakfast? YES! I was so delighted to get that lobster roll. AND it was with mayo, just the way I like it and on a New England bun. I was in heaven! My partner and our friend both got breakfast omelets and loved them as well but I was in a special happy place. The very next day, we attempted another breakfast place just to not be redundant but didn't find the offerings as enticing as Traci's so we headed back! And wouldn't you know it, I got the lobster roll again but this time with onion rings instead of fries. Love, love, love this place. Super friendly and super fast service. 0826 Monday. Walked in and waited with two other parties of two people ahead of me. From where I stood I could see 6 uncleared open tables. I waited as did the others. 0837 a young girl with a great big attitude sat the the first party that waited then she came back and sat the next party was sat. I waited. Finally the girl with the attitude asked me (as I stood by myself) how many? Just me. She sighs and points to the table that is the waiting area. Seeing other open tables I point to a table in the side dining room and ask her if I can wait for that table to be cleaned. She sighed and said "fine". I wait as she brings things to other tables with her stellar customer service and then she decides to clear the table I ask to sit at. She walks up to me and says " you can go sit now". No escort, no menu, just attitude. After a couple minutes she decides to bring me a menu. At this point I sit and read the menu. No server. I wait. The hostess sits another table. Waitress walks past me, twice. She asks for a drink order from this new table. I wait and watch. One of the other parties that was sat about five minutes before me still have their menus. The table that was just sat now has coffee. The other party has water. Waitress walks past me, again. At 8:40 I am over it and leave. I won't be back. read more

My mother and I really enjoyed this place. The service was very good,the food was very good and the view was magnificent.The only thing that wasn't enjoyable was the fellow diner nearby who thought it was socially acceptable to keep inhaling her runny nose and that burping out loud was a way to let everyone else in Traci's think she approved of the great food.We will definitely be returning. A local, been eating here for years - after Sat will not be back. After sitting with my 2 kids for a good 20 min - staff continues to walk right by us, doesn't even look our way, doesn't acknowledge that they see us - nothing, nada. Not the way to start your day. Smile and greet your customers is not reality - they all look miserable and it's reflected In the disregard for customers. Owner tells staff to ignore me when I complained about lack of service. I came here for breakfast with friends of mine. We were able to seat ourselves. I loved the painted murals in the area where we sat. The staff was friendly and efficient. Our order was taken and prepared quickly. I had the Jack Stack, which is two Sausage and Cheddar Potato cakes, with scrambled eggs on top, and homemade sausage gravy on top. Very healthy portion, and delicious. The gravy tasted homemade...Not like the cheap, canned stuff. I will be returning next week when I'm back in Belfast read more

Been eating here for years, but the past few times the service has been horrible. Was seated promptly, but the waitress seemed very put off when I asked for a couple of more minutes. I always get the eggs bennies and figured I'd try something different. Huge mistake! Ordered the platter #2. Eggs came back hard although I ordered over easy. My toast was not buttered and my coffee had one sip left when my food was delivered. After 20 minutes with no attention from the 3 staff that kept walking hurriedly by my breakfast companion walked up to the counter in the main room and asked for butter. I had two bites of my entire breakfast left when the waitress arrived and asked if I needed anything so I asked for more coffee and more water. I ate my entire breakfast without any drink. The water arrived a short time later and I was asked if that would be it in which I replied "that coffee would be great!" Upon paying the tab the woman that cashed me out said the top copy was theirs and then she walked off. Didn't even say Ty, have a nice day or even see me sign the receipt. Will NEVER go back. Arrived for breakfast at around 10:20 on a Friday with a family of 6. Ordered our food right away. It was busy-ish, but not packed. A full 45 minutes later, our waitress hadn't been back to our table even ONE time - not even to refill water and coffee. My mom finally stood up and went over to our waitress to see if our food was almost ready. Come to find out, it hadn't even been STARTED yet. She said there was a problem in the kitchen. Fine. We're understanding people. But to not even come over to refill drinks and let us know it would be a while is just unacceptable. The waitresses were essentially avoiding their tables in order to prevent having to deliver bad news. My mom asked to just cancel the order. At this point, you would assume our drinks would at least be comped. NOPE! This was probably the worst dining experience I've had in in the area. Husband and I love going here for breakfast. Pancakes are very big which I always seem to forget when I order them. Waiting area to be seated is not very large so it can look more crowded than it is when one looks in the front door. I don't understand the terrible reviews some people have written about this restaurant. We arrived in Belfast by sailboat and went looking for a place to have breakfast. As we walked by Traci's we asked a local couple coming out if the breakfast was good. They said it was THE place to go for breakfast. It was about 9am on a Thursday. We were seated right away (pick your own table). Service was quick and attentive. The breakfast was absolutely great. I had the Meat Lover's Omelet. It came with toast and delicious home fries that were good sized chunks of potatoes cooked just the right level of well done that I like. Everyone else in our party of four loved the breakfast. Sure, it's not the fanciest looking place but it was clean inside and nicely decorated with colorful bird houses all over the ceiling. We saw some people waiting for a table but they were seated in a few minutes. The staff was friendly. There was nothing to complain about. We will definitely go back next time we visit. read more

We stumbled up on Traci's by accident. The place down the street, we usually eat at was full. Traci's was very comfortable and homey. No frills and not fancy but very friendly. We had a great waitress and the food was fantastic. Sorry to hear that some reviews are bad. But as for us. we can't wait to come back again. Please don't judge this place on a few bad reviews. My husband and I go here once or twice a month for breakfast and the food and service is very good. I'm only giving it 3 stars because the place is in need of a renovation. The carpet is old and dirty, the polka dots and paintings on the wall all take away from the atmosphere. It could be quaint and pleasing. Such a throwback! We love coming here for their breakfast menu. You get a plate piled with eggs, bacon, and home fries for 5$. Can't beat that! Ok... This place is the bomb. My son and I went there over a year ago and it was such a memorable breakfast. I had to bring my partner there on our second trip to Maine. It was everything and more. The grilled veggies in the omelette with the great white cheese is to die for. The grilled or baked potatoes for the breakfast were so flavorful that they didn't need salt or ketchup! I went there on a Sunday for breakfast with my boys. I waited roughly 10 min then another couple came in. They waited about 2 min and was seated before I was. The bus / hostess was about to seat someone else again before me but the couple kindly pointed out I was there first. After a long wait to place my order I my boys were finally served. My 3 year was served raw pork. After they microwaved it my son but his hand on the sausage because it was too hot. Oh I never received breakfast either read more
