Country fried steak and eggs with 2 extra eggs and a side of sausage patties.

Recently moved to the area and this place came highly recommended. I got the pictured item and my wife got a pancake, which she loved. The food came out nice and hot after a minimal wait and the wait staff was very friendly. I quite enjoyed my breakfast. I found the steak to have a nice crispy batter without being dry, the scrambled eggs were cooked perfectly and the sausage/ home fries were delicious. I personally found the gravy to be a little bland, and I like a sausage gravy over a plain white gravy, but that is nit picking in what was overall a very good meal. Definitely plan on returning again for a subsequent visit.

Nice saving grace when you're hitting the road early and need a home cooked meal. They do have signage indicating that they're short staffed due to COVID-19 so you should enter with time on your hands. Despite the wait, the servers were very efficient. A staff of three clearly worked hard to get everyone seated, fed and on their way in a decent time frame. We were in and out in about an hour and a half most of which was spent waiting for seats and then the food. We were working with a time crunch and they did pretty well. The place was relatively clean and the staff was really nice. If you come with reasonable expectations for a roadside diner, you will be happy here. If you're expecting a big city experience, you'll leave upset. I enjoyed my orange juice and corned beef hash breakfast. My dining companions opted for the breakfast sandwiches: one on a biscuit and one on an english muffin. No complaints were had. Their coffee is decent and their food is filling. The place closes at 3pm as it's mostly breakfast and seafood based. I'd stick to the breakfast due to what it is! Order, eat and be on your way.

Cute little diner with friendly service and delicious food. I got the Turkey Club with Onion Rings and it was very filling and flavorful. I'm in love with the onion rings they were crispy and delicious with a side of ranch.

Had the Chicken and Broccoli Alfredo with two toasted slices of bread. Food was great. No complaints. Place was clean and service was good. Price was very reasonable.

"Two Large farm fresh eggs" over easy..... absolutely awful!

From the food to the service, it was absolutely awful! With so many great option in the area, drive past this place!

Food is average and staff seemed disorganized. Average - middle of the road ... nothing that separates it from other diners in the area.

We arrived early and found a spot in the very small lot they have next to the building. There were plenty of street spots open within walking distance as well. The whole area fills up starting in late morning, so I would plan your trip and know all of your parking options in advance so that you aren't driving 5 miles an hour down the road looking for parking. LOL There is usually a wait, so just be prepared for it. I was able to put our name on the list and we walked around the area. Our server was great - wow was she energetic. Zipping around, smiling and engaging with all of the customers. Our food was delicious!! The sticky bun...we managed to snag one of the last few left. Again, get there early if you don't want to miss out. The corned beef hash - amazing Biscuits - YUM Gravy - savory goodness. Home fries - flavorful and not too greasy. Eggs - perfect! I highly recommend this place and I hope to be able to return again soon, during the non-tourist season.

This cozy breakfast and lunch spot is popular with locals and visitors, so you'll likely have to wait for a table. It is definitely worth the wait, but If you're in a hurry, check to see if a seat is available at the counter. Service at Home Kitchen is warm and welcoming, and you're in for a treat if you're lucky enough to sit in Zan's area (short for Suzanne). I couldn't decide between a tuna sandwich or a grilled cheese, and she suggested combining both into a tuna melt. Brilliant! Along with a shared order of large fries, it was a tasty and filling lunch. The best part? All of it was gluten free! Home Kitchen bakes their own GF bread and pastries, and they are far superior to grocery-store GF baked goods. Even though we were sated from lunch, Zan encouraged us to order dessert, since they had a GF chocolate cupcake with salted caramel frosting. On her recommendation, we got two cupcakes to go - a GF chocolate cupcake for me, and a pumpkin cupcake with maple cream cheese frosting for my friend -- which we enjoyed later in the day from the comforts of home. Wow. Super delicious. More please!

If you dined in, they gave you a little number and brought out drinks and food. We did not have a long wait before getting helped, we did take a moment to look at the expansive menu that was on the wall. My partner and I both got a drink and breakfast wrap which came out to be about $32 before tip. Our drinks were brought out shortly after we sat down. The iced chai latte was on the sweeter side but very yummy. The iced matcha was also good but I asked for some vanilla flavoring, not sure if it was added since it didn't taste too sweet. However, I think they may have a table to add more flavoring and sugars to make it just right! Lastly, the wraps were AMAZING! We got the Mexacali and the Lee's special wraps. It's safe to say that they were devoured. I'll be dreaming of these wraps for a long time. If we find ourselves in Rockland again, we will most definitely be coming back!

I particularly loved watching the two artists quietly creating at separate tables. The Ambrosia is a signature item. Imagine, if you will, a brevet cappuccino topped with chocolate powder. Over the week we were in town, we ordered each one and found them all to have generous portions of scrambled eggs. My favorites were the Mexicali and the Reuben. While ordering at the register, the service was patient. The servers who brought our food items were very nice.

I had a Black Manhattan cocktail, supposedly differing from an ordinary Manhattan by use of a different kind of bitters (Amaro) and "filthy cherries." These seemed like basic good quality maraschinos to me (3); nothing "filthy" about them. Nevertheless it was good, fruity, and ample strength. The appetizer selection was small and heavy on bread-based items. (No free table bread was available - grrrr.) Most didn't appeal but the Roasted Garlic did, served with bread (2 kinds: a toasted crostini and a fresh crusty sourdough). The garlic was a whole head, sliced open for easy access and presented on a very hot plate, sweet and mellow from long slow roasting, and served with a choice of cheeses (molten blue, brie, whipped feta, or chèvre) - I chose chèvre and it was very good and a generous portion. A very simple dish not often encountered in restaurants. In retrospect this was the best part of the meal. I felt a little rushed at times and impatient at other times. It took a very long time to get the appetizer so I had nothing to dilute the effects of the strong cocktail. But then more than once I was asked about my entree before I was ready; once when ordering the appetizer and another time soon after I received it and hadn't made up my mind yet. I held my ground and told them I wasn't quite ready, and they accepted that and I took my time eating. There was an eclectic selection of wines by the glass. I had an interesting rosé from Slovenia. My entree was a roasted fish filet (halibut I think? It's no longer listed on the menu) served over a tomato-based sauce. This sauce was richly scented and complex and the plate was attractively garnished with micro greens. But the fish was on the small side and the flavor was monotonous - no discernible browning on the top. The other component, probably an herby cucumber-yogurt sauce resembling raita, which should have been a cool complement to the hot tomato broth, instead was melting unattractively and dispersing into it. Perhaps most disappointing, there was nothing else to this dish. It needed a starch or something (rice, boiled potatoes, or even more of those very good breads from the appetizer - wish I had saved some.) So it's good I got the appetizer first, or I would have left rather hungry. Desserts were also very limited and most didn't appeal. I decided on the Clafouti, which is a baked tart, thicker and heavier than flan, with fruit (black cherries) It was way too hot, didn't have enough fruit, and ice cream would be a far better choice than the amorphous blob of whipped cream it was served with. I should have skipped dessert. It was so boring. As for ambience: it's a crowded, noisy place but in a pleasing way. Very small, and I had reserved one of the 6 seats at the bar (I was dining solo). It's whimsically decorated, like with the grape-covered nude statue holding a candle. There was attractive artwork on the walls, some of which I believe was for sale. I did detect smoky odors coming from the kitchen that other reviewers have noted but I consider that a positive thing, not a negative. So come here if you wish. Check it out and form your own opinion. As for me, I wasn't sufficiently impressed and wouldn't return.
