The woman who did my nails spoke very quietly. Behind her mask and the plastic shield I couldn't hear most of what she said. This really seemed to make her angry. She couldn't figure out how to remove the hard gel on my nails. I told her several times to sand it off with the drill. She just ignored me and continued to use a plastic fingernail to pry it off. That took most of my natural nail off with it. My fingers hurt for a week. I picked out a sparkly pink color but ended up with gold sparkly nails. I went home and used my nail drill and took the ugly polish off and repainted them. I wanted square tip but got rounded. I had to fix that myself too. As she was doing my nails the man beside us was complaining to his client about other customers. I will never return to this place. I regret going there in the first place. I had been going to Diamond nails here and there for a bit for pedis and the occasional full set. I was always happy with my pedi's but my acrylics by Diamond we're just SO THICK. It felt like I had 10 pounds on my hands. So I started going to a place a lot further away that did great work but was expensive and far. I broke a nail the other day and really didn't want to drive that far out to get my nails fixed so I tried being a walk in at TQ nails. I must have gotten there during a rare opening because Annie got me right in. I would highly recommend making an appointment because, while I was getting my nails done, about 3 other customers were turned away. I HAD a full set with sand dip (one broken and in need of a new tip). Annie sat me down and started taking my previous sand off and was so careful to not let it start burning my nail. After she was done taking it off, she informed me that I no longer needed tips as my real nails were long enough. I really appreciated that because I didn't want fake nails in the first place! For everything that I had done, I only paid $40! I have been coming back time and time again to this salon for over a year now, and it never disappoints. I have tried a few other salons in Butler but no one compares to Tina and her husbands shop. Their prices are quiet fair compared to competition and have found them to be the cheapest for their quality! I HIGHLY recommend you call before hand for an appointment, no matter what the service is. They are always busy with clients 99% of the time. The staff is generally upbeat and fun loving. Do not let the language barrier get to you. Once you start chatting, it creates for an enjoyable time. Very friendly people. read more

I got married out of state and needed a salon that would do my bridal nails along with a few close family members. TQ Nail staff was great at making our initial appointment and were very friendly. My family members wanted different appointments (gel vice regular polish etc) so I called to update the staff and they didn't seem super flexible as they had a packed schedule which is understandable. We showed up a few minutes late and one of my family members changed her mind on the appt and wouldn't be having a mani/pedi (which I thought the salon would like since they were super busy). I had no clear guidance on where to choose dip colors for my nails and when the nail technician finally came over to me, she was really rude. I did have about 10 things going on (bride on the day before the wedding) with people trying to call and text. I'm not normally "that person" at a salon. But the woman barely spoke to me, didn't clean up the skin around my nails, didn't offer any type of hand massage, and didn't offer any cuticle oil which is basically manicure 101. I'm giving one star because my nails looked ok, and the other technician was very nice to my step daughter. I was also fairly disgusted because the woman who came in after me to get a pedicure (definitely a regular here as they were on a first name basis) was discussing her foot fungus and while I was drying, my nail tech went over to investigate. It did seem like she might have washed her hands but it made me super uneasy that she was touching this woman's feet then my hands. I also didn't love that she had three customers "started" at the same time. I just didn't really feel like a priority even though I was a bride to be AND made an appointment. read more

Only one visit. My daughter and i were switched chairs and people 3 times due to walk ins, even though we had appointments. The lady who did the filing and color portion was nice and was very talkative. The finished product was so so and VERY expensive. We will continue to go to Gel nails in Grove City. My daughter and I were visiting for a baseball tournament. We stayed at the Holiday Inn down the street. Decided for manicure and pedicure after months of corona virus shutdown. They took our temperature, we signed a waiver form, the sections had plexiglass....very clean. The nails came out nice. The outside didn't seem like much, but inside was great. They saw me immediately when I arrived to my appt. time (which is unheard of at the other salons I've been to) and they did a great job. Only $45 for a full set of acrylics! I've always been a big fan of this place but as others have opened around town, I started going elsewhere. Today I went to my usual spot but they were too busy to take me so I decided to go over to TQ. It was right when they opened and there was a small wait til everyone got there but not a huge issue. The gentleman who did my nails was extremely nice and went above and beyond to "fix" some of the nails who did it. I had an idea of nails i got off pinterest and he was able to replicate them almost exactly. I wish I would've gotten his name to make appointments with him in the future as I know I'll be back! read more

This was my first time coming to this salon, and I will never go back.I showed a picture of what I wanted and asked if it could be down with dip, without the lady saying yes or no she started to rip the dip off my nails with a tip extension. I had dip on my nails and instead of soaking them off she just rips them off and destroyed my natural nails. The lady then says that my nails are too damaged to get dip. She then says my only option is acrylic with tips. The lady did nothing near what I showed her, she did whatever she felt like with the shape and color. She charged me EXTRA for tip extension which should have never happened because it was her fault that they ripped my nails off in the first place. She also charged me EXTRA for the shape of the nail, which I never asked for and was the opposite of the picture I showed her. I told her I did not ask for the shape and length but still made me pay for it. This place scammed me and they should not be in business. No one should go to this salon. Was there once. Actually twice - my first AND LAST time. I went here to get a fill, and came out with my nails cut to the quick, many in layers, MIDWAY DOWN MY NAIL BED ON SEVERAL OF MY NAILS .... Tina told me I had "a bubble", and fungus (that I guess only she could see) and was quite rude and condescending during the whole process. It took me 6 MONTHS for my nails to grow back in properly. I lived in a metropolitan area with an abundance of nail shops, therefore plenty of competition, for many years. TQ, with Tina's lack of skill and customer service does not measure up. They get one star for Annie. She has been doing my friend's nails for years, is pleasant and does great work. read more

i have been going to tq for many years but the past few months i haven't been as satisfied with the service. this past time i had called for a new set around 12:45. when i got there my tech claimed i didn't call for a new set. i had showed her the nails i wanted and it "was going to take a long time" but if i'm paying you please give me what i ask for. my tech had gotten up to work on someone that came in after me for about 20-25 minute. my nails burned and i had multiple cuts on my fingers that started bleeding. they charged me $75 and i have never been charged that much. unfortunately i will not be returning to this salon. read more

I've lived in Butler for a few years now and have always gone to one salon. It wasn't until about a month ago I found TQ Nails, and fell in love. Beautiful salon, bright and airy. I also found I can save 10$ here versus the old salon I used to go to!! All I get done is a refill on my acrylics with gel, only 25$ instead of 35-40$ else where. Definitely will come back read more

Went here to receive a mani/pedi, I had terrible service. I didn't even get the manicure that I wanted. My technician was rude and didn't try to fix the problem. She cut my toenails with a cuticle remover. When I went to pay they tried to charge me for the manicure that I didn't even get. Oh, and my nails started chipping the next day. I've only ever had issues with one specific technician, everyone else is wonderful. read more
