I used to not like Tpumps because it just tasted like syrupy water to me, but after reducing the sweetness to "Light", I'm a huge huge fan. The tea still isn't the strongest, which is their greatest weakness, but I love being able to combine different syrups and wow their boba is amazing. So soft... yet so chewy... I always tell people who complain that they don't give enough boba that, uhm, well, it's FREE!! I hate to be a shill for Tpumps, but they're already being more generous than other shops by giving that in the first place. If you want the normal amount of boba that other shops give you, just pay an extra $0.50 for extra boba. read more

I came by to Tpumps as I have heard a lot of good things about it but I never actually had the time to drive to Pasadena to grab a quick drink. Now that they have one in Monrovia, I decided to give it a try. Walking in, the menu was a bit overwhelming. There were a lot of flavors to choose from. The worker (Nico!) came up to me and explained to me how everything works and was super courteous. He offered a sample of their new Thai Tea but with some flavors inside it (I didn't even know you could add flavors to Thai Tea?). I also ended up trying a fruit sample by the entrance which was pretty good as well. I ended up ordering the thai tea sample which was Strawberry fruit + Vanilla flavoring with Thai Tea. It was great. Nico also told me that I could change my drink if I was not satisfied with it. Overall, I'd come back again due to the great taste, soft boba, and awesome customer service! Tpumps has been re-opened for quite a while now ever since it was shutdown due to covid. I go almost three times a week, since it's in my area. I enjoy choosing from a variety of tea flavors. They've maintained a safe and quick system where you just order and go. I've never had to deal with a moody worker, they're all very kind and fast. As for the boba itself, the chewy texture is perfect + the honey flavor, the only con would be that they don't provide enough boba. Every Tuesday they have a deal where you can upgrade the size to a large for the price of a regular! I recommend going here if you're looking for a fair-priced drink to quench your thirst. read more

Service: I don't normally care about the service at boba places because it's just get a drink and go but the service here is absolutely amazing. Got a blackberry peach black tea and the cup broke right as I got it. Started to leak everywhere but the workers were super nice about it. Told me to just toss the broken cup and they made me a new one! They also upgraded the cup size from 24 to 32oz without asking or charging. They also were very forward about making sure we liked the drink before we left and that they were happy to adjust sweetness levels for anyone's drink. At the other tpumps location, my friend's cup broke and they just gave her another empty cup to transfer to contents into. The service here is especially nice. :) The drink: not too sweet or bitter. A solid drink. I tried their raspberry honey milk tea sample and it was amazing. Perfect balance of sweetness. Will definitely try it next time! read more

This Tpumps just opened about 5 months ago and was amazing when it started and is still a very good boba spot. Tpumps have lots of premade flavors that you can choose from or you can combine up to 3 individual flavors to make whatever tea/milk tea/slush/smoothie that you want. The quality of the tea itself is slightly above average and the boba is really soft and perfectly sweet. They also have a rewards program that is connected to your phone number so you don't have to use a stamp card which is very convenient. Over time, the quality of the drinks began to be inconsistent but is still very good for the price that they sell their drinks for. Come here for some cheap and good boba! read more

Tpumps is my favorite boba spot! I love that you can pick more than one flavor (up to 3 flavors). The tapioca is fresh and actually has flavor because it soaks up the flavor of your drink. The sizes beat other tea spots (you can get up to 24oz). Tpumps also charges less if you go on Tuesday (for Tpump Tuesday). I like the Monrovia and Pasadena locations. The line at the Monrovia location is significantly shorter than the Pasadena location though. read more

This is my favorite boba place of all time. They have so many different flavors that you can mix and match and it is really cheap for the amount you are getting! Every Tuesday they offer free upgrades to their pumpbo side (large) and it is less than $5 which is amazing! In addition, with each drink you are given one free topping and I think that is a huge plus because usually boba shops charge extra for toppings. This shop is very very small and doesn't have a big sign so make sure you keep a lookout or you'll miss it! There is also another location on Lake Ave. in Pasadena but this location is way better because it is not as well known as the one in Pasadena so the line is a lot shorter. If you are a big boba topping fan I wouldn't recommend coming here because the boba itself isn't very flavorful but I think that it is a good thing because the drinks are typically very sweet. read more

My experience was not good. The people were kind of nice but their system was down and they ended up charging me twice. I had spent most of my time here trying to get my money back instead of taking my little brother where he wanted to go. We both left very upset and it took them many hours until I got my refund. Went around noon and the staff was very friendly while the manager was helpful in figuring out what flavor we'd enjoy and giving us samples of different mixes they had made to see if we'd like something like that. I'm a regular at the Pasadena location as well as have a friend who works for tpumps. By far the worst experience ever. Ordered my usual so I know exactly what it tastes like. And it was AWFUL. Words can't even describe, it made me sick for the rest of the day. I called and asked for a remake, their response "next time don't order it that way" and had the decency to hang up on me. We enjoyed the boba, the ordering experience during covid was a bit awkward as you stand in the sidewalk and hard to see menu but we pulled up the menu on our phone and got through it!
