I was a bit confused about how to order here, but the employee was super friendly and helpful. The window near the door is actually the pickup window. Head into the back of the shop to place your order at the register. I'm not sure how sweetness customization works here; I just asked for 75% sugar which was marked as "light". The green milk tea with honey boba ($5.50) came in a huge 24 oz cup. It tasted alright. The tea flavor was very light, and I couldn't really tell that it was green tea. You get much more tea than boba, but I suppose that explains the low price. The boba was big, chewy, and soft - not mushy, but way softer than I prefer. I wasn't getting honey or brown sugar flavor. It tasted more like white sugar to me, but the flavor penetrated the pearls to an impressive degree. There was also a dispenser offering free samples of strawberry lychee green tea. It was pretty sweet and had a classic strawberry lychee flavor, though it tasted more like juice than tea to me.
It was my first time coming to this location. Street parking can be fairly easy depending on the day and time you go. The staff was really nice and friendly. The service was quick. I got the rose vanilla green milk tea and it was really yummy! It has always been my go to. I like that they have the favorites list to help. I had stumbled upon the free upgrade day, which I believe was Tuesday. The store was clean and cutely decorated. I will definitely be back.
When you first walk in, they have free tea samples in the middle of the store. How awesome is that!! I loved the vibe of sipping on free tea as I decided what to get. Service was quick and staff was kind. I got a hot plum lemon green tea less sweet. Even with less sweet, the drink was still just as flavorful! It was perfect to drink on a cold walk in downtown Monrovia. A cool deal they have in is this fridge of discount drinks! They have green tea, black tea, and some premade drinks at a lower cost. If I noticed it when I first walked in, I would've bought there in a heart beat
Tpumps reminds me so much of my high school days :') very nostalgic. I came back here because I got a free birthday reward... but I cannot remember the last time I had tpumps! This location is conveniently less than 5 mins away from my job. I feel like the drinks at tpumps tastes very artificial... heavy amounts of sweetener is added and I can't really taste the tea much. I asked to get it remade and asked for 25% sweetness.. & it was perfect. I'm a tea connoisseur, and their tea tasted a bit low quality but it wasn't too bad. For the price point, you get what you pay for. Customer service here is always great ... they always make sure you leave enjoying your drink :-)
I LOVE this location. I am always greeted when I walk in. I love the flyers they have on their windows because it helps keep customers informed. Today, I saw a flyer for a cookie dough milk tea and I wanted to try it so bad! But I like to stick to what I know. On this particular occasion, I ordered my usual order which is a brown sugar milk tea with easy mini boba (new) and less sweet. When I got my drink, I did not know the new mini boba was white. I was not a fan. The barista who made my drink could clearly tell there was something wrong. I told her I did not like the mini boba they used (after I tried it) and she said she would remake it. The drink itself was perfectly fine. I was just expecting the mini boba to be honey mini boba, not white. It does taste different to me. Thankfully, the barista fixed my drink and I left a happy customer. I appreciated that she did not give me a difficult time for not enjoying the mini boba in my drink. I also love how they always have samples you can try when you come. ALSO I love their fridge adjacent to where you order. Freshly pre made drinks. I don't know any other boba place doing something like that. Thats how I found out about their Macadamia milk tea which is also SUPER good! Will always come here EVERY Tuesday...ifykyk!
I came in tonight not know exactly what to get so I told the lovely employee if she can make me any drink since I didn't know exactly what to get. She asked if I was allergic to anything or if I didn't like certain things. I let her know and she did me an amazing drink! Love the drink and the customer service. I just want to say she's an amazing employee!! Unfortunately I didn't get her name.
Good quality boba and fresh tasting ingredients. This Tpumps location is along Myrtle Ave in Old Town Monorovia. Similar to the first location in SGV (Pasadena), I've always liked the different options Tpumps offered. I went with a green tea mango & passionfruit slushie with honeyboba ($5). The flavor was good. You can taste both the mango and the passionfruit in the drink. It was a little bit fragrant which I can be a little sensitive too but it wasnt too bad in this drink. The boba was smooth and had a slight chew. Pretty much the way I like it. Service was friendly and even as busy as they were, the workers helped us with a smile. We will for sure be back again. I gotta try the almond roca finally... Plenty of free street parking out front.
Location: This Boba tea place is located in Old Town Monrovia on Myrtle Ave. Very cozy looking but the sign was kinda small so you have to look closely. Customer Service: The guy who served me was very welcoming and friendly. Repeated my order to confirm he heard me right which was very thoughtful. The drink was ready in a timely manner. It was a pleasant experience as a first timer. Parking: Street parking and public parking almost every other street blocks. Weekdays should be earlier than weekends street parking. Food/Drink: I ordered Guava Peach Tea with Boba at 25% sweetness and no iced. It was quite refreshing at a rainy afternoon but I would love to taste the guava a bit more in my tea. Covid-19 Precautions: There is a plastic divider at the entrance on a small table, the guy who served me was masked on and with gloves too. Hand sanitizer was provided. Pretty good.
Good service, nice drinks, but they always give so little boba. Love that they always have a sample to try. It helps with their wide range of flavors. Ambiance is chill vibes, the wait is rarely ever longer than 10 minutes, even on their busy days. Price is also on the "cheaper" end compared to lots of boba places today.
Too much ice and not enough tea. The tea is watered down. When you go to the tea place you go for their tea not for a cup full of ice. Oh and the bag they put my drink in ripped on the way to my car.

Much better than the bay area one. The drinks tasted nice and had good flavor, which was a definite plus. However, the boba was very forgetful. I remember the boba being super honey flavored, but these just tasted plain. Sadly that was the only redeeming quality I had remembered about Tpumps. So many better choices now, it feels like Tpumps is still stuck in 2015 sadly.
I have always heard great things about tpumps over the years but I recently just tried it and wow!!! I love this boba shop and will definitely be coming back whenever I get the chance. I love how we can combine different flavors! I tried the Neapolitan milk tea and it was really good. My friend got a brown sugar with lychee milk tea and surprisingly that was really good too.

cinnamon thai tea, normal sweet and no boba. i got it from the $3.00 already made fridge!! what a great price!! i lucked out!! i was craving thai tea and they had it already made!! i love tpumps!! such a great selection of different teas and ways to make them!! customer service is spot on and there is usually no wait, or very short one!! be sure to go in for tpumps tuesday!! Ok ok hear me out-- we need to establish that tpumps can't be ranked against fancy boba places like chagee or molly tea. Obviously those places are higher end and will have higher quality drinks. BUT if you're in the area and are craving that nostalgic "old school" boba kind of taste then this is the place for you! Completely customizable, pick your flavors (aka syrups), green or black tea, milk or no milk, and choice of toppings. I think it's nice that boba is already included in the pricing so you don't have to pay extra. I got lychee passion fruit green tea with boba ($5.50) "extra light sweet"-- not sure what the sweetness percentage was on that but it worked out great for me! Also, I love passion fruit flavor but recently all the other places have been putting seeds in them and I'm not a fan of crunching on those seeds so I haven't ordered passion fruit tea in a really long time. To be fair... the high end boba places don't really have passion fruit green tea either. BUT THIS PLACE!! Seed-less passion fruit tea thank you very much. It's also nice that they have free samples and a $3 fridge where you get a pretty steep discount if you buy one of their pre-made ones. They even had free water in the fridge which is nice and thoughtful of them! Service is great all around and they seem really committed into making sure you like your drink. Good vibes and pleasant staff making sure I'm satisfied with my order. The tea drinks are on the spot. I always choose the lightly sweet and it was almost perfect. I don't usually get boba, but since they are included in the price, I opted to try them. The texture and taste was good. They also kept bringing out different teas for tasting which I thought was great. I got to try 4 different teas including what I ordered. All in all, everything was great. I just wish they had a better, bigger seating area. read more
Tpump's newest location is now open (as of today), which can be found in old town Monrovia, specifically between TLC Nail Spa & Sugarland. After finding out from Tpump's facebook page that they are now open, my husband, our little girl dog and I decided to come out this evening to grab a drink. Being that it is Tuesday, all drinks automatically get a free upgrade to the large size (only for cold drinks). This special is every Tuesday and available at all their locations. I am no stranger to this Taiwanese tea house chain and frequent the location in Pasadena and am glad that they decided to open up in Monrovia (I am loving that Monrovia is getting some more Asian eateries). For newbies, you can choose up to 3 flavors from the menu, then the type of tea (black, green, decaf), type of milk, sweetness level and topping. Please note that the price includes 1 topping (except popping boba cost $0.75 extra). With so many different flavors to choose from (all syrup based), it is hard to decide what to get, especially since they can make over 300 different combinations from the flavors that they have on hand. I usually like to order from the customer's favorite list but my husband likes to try different variations each time we come to Tpumps. Anyways, on this visit, we ended up getting: Almond Roca Raspberry Vanilla With Black Tea & Popping Boba ($3.50 + $0.75)- My usual drink, I requested this drink to be made with no ice and light sweetness. Typically Tpumps drinks are on the sweet side and if you prefer your drinks to be made with 50% sweetener at other tea houses then light sweetness (sweetness can only be ordered by no sweet, light, normal and very) will be similar. The combination of these flavors together, mixed with milk and black tea gives a nice smooth taste at every sip. The strawberry popping boba was made perfectly and is always fun to pop. Mango Strawberry Black Tea ($3.50)- My husband opted for this drink to be made with no ice, light sweetness and with boba. I didn't have any of his drink but he thought it was refreshing and consistent with the location in Pasadena. The boba was made perfectly, having a nice chew. --------------------------------- (Total= $7.75, tax included) Although there was a line to order, wait time was pretty quick. I like the set up this location a little more than Pasadena because there are a few benches inside to sit and also 2 benches outside (which is where my little girl dog and I waited for my husband while he was inside ordering). Right after we got our drinks, the owner was so sweet to bring out a cup of water for our dog and water for this other couple's dog, whom was sitting on the bench next to us. I love that the owner was thoughtful to offer our dog water, especially when we did not ask and it wasn't even a hot evening. Will definitely be back for another visit (especially on a Tuesday). read more

Used to go to Pasadena tpumps on Tuesday when they have promotion. Decided to try Monrovia on a Monday with regular pricing. Disappointed that regular here has much fewer boba than promo one in Pasadena. Maybe it's the man who prepared it who is "conservative" with boba. I do want to enjoy more than 10-12 pieces though. The quality of the tea is as good as that of Pasadena. The girl greeting was very sweet. Willing to give this place another try when there is someone else preparing the drinks!!! read more

I work in Monrovia, but don't explore enough to know that Tpumps opened up shop during the summer! I got the guava peach green tea, half sweet and less ice with no toppings, and it was just what I needed after a long day. I'm happy to say that half sweet really is half sweet since it can still be quite sweet for some places. I really like the fact that you can choose up to 3 differ flavors - allows me to be more adventurous and try new things. I didn't really pay attention to the fine print in the menu because the base price comes with one topping. I know, fail on my part LOL *for those with parking anxiety like me: there's street parking and parking lots, both of which was free read more

I love the options/combinations of flavors they have and the customer service! You also have the ability to create your own tea. They have a wide array of milk and tea choices. They make you taste the drink before leaving to ensure you like it. I love that! Its boba paradise. It gets crowded around 2-4 when kids get out of school, but other than that visit any other location and you'll experience the same level of service and options. I've always enjoyed Trumps, however the drink today was very grainy and disgusting looking. Think it's milk powder not integrated or gone bad?! Also the boba are stuck together, it's difficult to sip. The taste is ok though. read more
CHEWIEST HONEY BOBA!! Atmosphere: Pretty small place in Old Town Monrovia. There's like a small bench in the front, but no where to sit other than that. More of a grab-n-go type of place! Was clean and decorated super cute! Staff: Staff were super friendly and interacted super well with us! Food: Nothing compares to Tpumps' honey boba. They're so soft and chewy! I think their boba is the best one out there, but the problem is they hella skimp on boba. It's like 15 pearls in total wtf. I really dont like their tea that much either. It's very whatever. Just syrupy water. You cant taste the tea but I would settle cause the boba's good. Price: It was $3.50 for my drink. On Tuesdays, all sizes are the same price! So worth it. Tpumps announced on their Instagram that they now have macarons, so of course I had to come get some they're a little expensive ($13 for 6), but I loved the thai tea flavor! Because of coronavirus, we can't go into the store, but I love all the changes they've implemented! They used to take orders and had a pick up window right next to each other at the front door, but they cut out (or changed?) the big window so that they could add a pick up window there! They also have a chart on the window showing each employees temperatures and whether or not they're showing any symptoms. I love all they're doing to keep their employees and customers safe! read more

Service is bangin at this new location!! Not only do they have FREE UPGRADE TUESDAYS, they have generous free samples and cheerfully offer them. Buy a $10 tee and get a free drink SO FLY SO BARGAIN. Haha love their tea flavor combos and that they have lactose free milk and non dairy options. I haven't been this hype about boba for a lonnnngggg time. My new boo is you Tpumps. Muah xoxo read more
