I was also worried about going just any where, because I am female - though with a fairly extensive automotive background, I like to do without the hassle of sleazy grease monkeys who try to take advantage of unsuspecting women. That being said, I read some reviews and took a chance! Before I clicked "order", I called to inquire about a few of the installation charges and to get a feel for the process going forward. I spoke to the owner of Export Tire and he confirmed my inquiries, even offering to price out the same tires at his cost, in the event he would be able to save me even more money. When he realized my pricing was better, not one single word was mentioned about trying to undercut or sell me a different or cheaper tire. What a relief! When speaking with him, I asked if I would need to schedule an appointment once the tires were delivered - he said "no way, you're welcome to stop in at any time. We will get you right in, even if I have to do it myself." Color me impressed! As soon as the tires were delivered, I received a confirmation call from the shop. I know this was instant, because I had an email confirmation as well. I told them when I would be by, and again they assured me it would be fine. I asked how long it might take them, and they told me it would be about 20 minutes or so. When I arrived, they took my car right in (as promised). I sat in the waiting room for about 30-35 minutes, but only because I had a tire light on, and they were trying to erase the code before they sent me on my way. Not a problem at all. I also inquired about the use of Nitrogen instead of air, because I saw they were offering a deal on it. I believe it was the owner I spoke with again, and he said that it wouldn't make too much of a difference - not to waste my money. (Although, admittedly, he said he did not have it at that point). I also asked him for my tires to dispose of myself, which saved me a few dollars as well. He didn't argue or question my request, and they even bagged them as not to dirty the interior of my car. All in all, this shop - the owner - the technicians - the process from purchase to install was 5 star all the way! Don't hesitate to take your vehicle here! These guys rock! Thanks, y'all.

When we arrive at the shop we were early for the 4PM appointment. We went in only 5 minutes early to check in and drop off the truck. There were two people behind the counter and it took a few minutes for them to be free to talk to us. My sister told the lady she was there for her appointment. The lady asked her name. Couldn't find anything. Asked phone number, couldn't find anything... went through the computer nothing... kept looking and then asked what we were there for/what they were doing today for us. We told her we were there to get running boards installed on my dads truck. She said ok let me go see if we have them here... like ummmmmmm what?!? My sister called roughly a month-month and a half ahead of time to arrange everything. We waited and finally the lady came back and said that they did indeed have the boards but couldn't find a work order or special order. Nothing. I had a picture of the business card with what was being done and price for the boards and installation which my sister sent me. It was their card. Finally after what seemed like an eternity the lady found the barely completed paperwork for the order/work order/appointment and apparently whoever set up the order and appointment took the bare minimum of information and didn't enter any of it in the computer. Thank God I had a picture of the card with quoted price or Who knows what they would of tried to charge us. We were going to wait for the boards to be installed expect there is no where to actually wait inside the store. Let alone barely enough room to move around. They did manage to write down on the paperwork that we were "waiting" on it so that was one thing that was accounted for. We were told it would be about an hour to an hour and a half. We decided since there was no where to wait we would leave and come back. We came back a little early and waited in the lot till it was a few minutes after the hour and a half and when we went in they were occupied and we had to just hang out and keep ourselves occupied till we were told they were still working on it but it shouldn't be much longer. Mind you we are at less than 30 minutes till they closed. 30 minutes to close quickly turned to 20 and then to 15. 15 to 10, 10 to 5, 5 to close and still no truck . Sometime after 6 and us awkwardly standing around in a few different small spaces inside we finally got told the truck was done. I paid and we headed out. The running boards looked great. Job well done. It's been almost a month and they are doing good. We are happy overall with everything. There was good and bad so I want to be fair. When the countryman died of engine failure at over 110k miles, in June I purchased another older mini cooper. This is when our relationship changed. It was burning oil at an alarming rate, smoke was coming out of the exhaust, almost always after idling for a lengthy time and sometimes upon starting the car. I had it accessed by Murrysville Auto and a part replaced with the stipulation being that might and might not resolve the issue pointing to possible engine issues. Fair enough. I was glad to have honest information to make the decision. When it still exhibited smoke from the exhaust, I immediately made another appointment to have it reaccessed. This time, instead of Cody (owner) who always had relayed the information to me in the past, his mother, Jerrie (President) gave me info stating no further repairs were needed or recommended, that it was burning oil and the solution offered was for me to simply check the oil EVERY DAY. At this point, I questioned outloud to Jerrie in person if they were trying to tell me they didn't want my business any longer. She assured me that was not the case. We then talked and, with Cody in the conversation, as well, a rebuilt engine was found with a cost of installation being 15k. I agreed, thinking a total engine replacement would fix the issues. Before I could pay, I needed to transfer funds for next business day. In the meantime, a new light came on -- the engine reduced power light. This was a new symptom and my research showed it might mean more than an engine alone. I could not, with this new info, afford to pay 15k and not have a total solution so canceled the order for the engine. Now, Murrysville Auto lets me know the seller of the engine was charging a restock fee of 1600. This restock fee was not divulged to me on my paperwork which is unlawful and non-binding in PA. To just be done with the transaction and move on, I agreed to pay 1600. But then, Cody tells me it is actually more than 1600. I stand by the 1600 relayed to me and pay that. Soooo, bottom line I stand by my intuition that Murrysville Auto wanted to sever business relations with me, though I had been a long-time loyal customer and always paid my repairs in full, on the spot, with no questions on pricing or suggested repairs until this car purchased in June, less than 3 months and less than 1500 miles ago. By having Jerrie and not Cody give me the latest non-repair advice of simply checking oil EVERY.SINGLE.DAY which is ludicrous to charging and not divulging a restock fee (first, I would never back out of a contract except I had new vital info), it seems obvious that I will not be continuing my service with them for this car or any other. I have no idea what changed to come to their final ways of doing business, but it is what it is. They are not the same trusted business that I came to trust and rely on all these years.

Pros Customer Service - I found most of the staff to be friendly. Keith was friendly and I appreciated Chuck telling me that he had no idea about the costs of finding a leak in the exhaust. Cons Unrequired services: I was charged $1,000 for unneeded services. Keith knew that I wanted to save money so he offered to not do work on the radiator. Knowing that, why was the following work done? 1. Emblem - Why was this replaced? This is purely cosmetic. I would not need this replaced for the state inspection. 2. Paint job - Cosmetics. 3. Lights - Why were both my entire headlights sections replaced? I never noticed anything about my lights when I drove away from the accident at night. Delays: I was informed that it would be ready by Jan 2nd and even mentioned December 30th as a possibility. I wasn't informed until January 2nd that it was not ready for pick up until either the 5th or the 6th. I wasn't informed until the 6th that they would not have the car ready until the 9th or 10th. It was frustrating having to pay for a rental every additional day for work. No quote: Keith said he would email me a quote on the same day that I brought in my car. I assumed that he was busy with the holidays coming up so I waited several more days but it never came in. I would have questioned things that I would have viewed as unnecessary if I was able to see what they wanted to do. Overall: I was originally told that it would cost about $3,500 as a high estimate but they would try to bring it down to $2,500 by purchasing cheaper parts. This ended up costing $4,000 (which did not include fixing the radiator) and took 7 days longer. I did not have a good experience which I find unfortunate since the two staff I interacted with seemed nice.
