Brand new hobby shop geared towards trading card games (CCG/TCG) - mainly Magic The Gathering,…read moreYu-Gi-Oh, and Pokemon. Looks like they completely overhauled what used to be here. Very clean inside and organized. Tables are setup for games and there's a spot for snacks & drinks for players. Appears that they're still putting some final touches inside but it's open for business and the workers were friendly. Asked if I had any questions but I just took a walk around to see what they offered now. For sale were all sorts of booster packs, collections, play mats, etc. Even storage sleeves & boxes. I saw some loose Magic cards as well. The only thing in the shop that wasn't card-based was the wall of Funko Pop figures. Several shelves of regulars and exclusives. If you're into that and/or card games then this is the place for you!

Extremely unwelcoming and rude staff -- worst first impression I've had at a TCG store…read more I walked in 15 minutes after opening, politely greeted the employee, and asked about hanging out in store prior to the event schedule, only to be snapped at with "no thats what no free play means" and then talked down to in a serious, condescending tone over "no free play," despite me never asking to play. The event wasn't for another two hours, and I was clearly just checking out the store for the first time. Zero customer service, zero friendliness, and absolutely no reason to ever spend money here -- good luck to them.

The store is very organized and neat, and is a pleasure to browse. There are a ton of models and complete sets, from simple to complex. Kids can play with Legos at several stations, and the store hosts birthday parties, events, and build & create classes. The owner and staff are super nice and kind. I bought a truck for my toddler (who loved the vehicle displays), and he already took apart some of the pieces when we got to the car. I had to sheepishly turn back to ask the front desk clerk to help put it together again, and he cheerily did so. They'll also buy your used Lego and Duplo pieces too (must be official Lego brand). And you can buy bulk Lego pieces by the pound. Highly recommended for any Lego aficionados, kids and adults alike!

Yelled again at my 4 year old who was playing with the train set that was meant to be played with. Acted like I didn't know how to parent. My 2 year olds croc fell off, and she got mad. Maybe if you vacuumed your floors it wouldn't be an issue. It's disgusting. Also, don't like the pride flag on front door of a child's store. Don't groom kids.

I immediately felt like I was part of the store. The customer service was fantastic. The store itself had everything a comic book fan could ever need - anything from the newest comics, to older paperbacks, lots of toys & collectibles to cards games, and tons of bins full of back-issues. I was blown away by how much they kept in stock. After talking with the owners and learning more about their history and knowledge of the comic industry, it's clear that they truly put their customers first and are always willing to go out of the their way to make sure you've got the toys and comic books that you need. Whether you live 2 hours away or 2 minutes down the street, I highly recommend taking a trip to the Joker's Child and experiencing all of this for yourself. You will not be disappointed!

Out front, they have life-size figures of both classic and modern characters from movies and games -- and the contrast is wild. E.T. is standing right next to Art the Clown, which pretty much tells you what kind of place this is. You'll definitely want to take pictures. Inside the store, there's a huge assortment of games, toys, plush, collectibles, and pop-culture items packed into every corner. You'll find everything from modern fandom pieces to classic toys from the '80s, which adds to the fun of browsing. Some of the more common items can feel a bit overpriced, but it's also clear that some of what they sell is harder to find, so pricing likely reflects rarity on certain pieces. It's the kind of store where you're as much there to look around as you are to buy something. I ended up walking out with a cute Wolfman plush, so mission accomplished. Definitely a fun stop if you're into collectibles, nostalgia, or just want to see something different while at the mall.

Finally got to visit the Disney Store Limited Time at Garden State Plaza yesterday. I was so…read moreexcited to finally have a Disney Store again. The store itself was organized and neat. The cast members were attentive, and you could always find someone to help you. The decorations of the store were also fun and cheery. My almost-4-year old loved them. The inventory was limited. There was not a lot in toddler sizes. I'm very picky about what I will buy online or in-store, in this case, because I am an annual passholder at Disney World and can get park merchandise at 20% off. I try to only buy stuff that can be purchased at Disney Store. There was almost nothing for adults. That really upset me. The other thing that got me was the price increase. Being a regular park goer and a frequent shopper online, I know prices of items. Especially items I'm interested in buying. My son has multiple characters from the interactive Toy Story line. Every single figure is $39.99 in the parks AND online. He wanted Zurg at The Disney Store so knowing the price, I picked it up. Except Zurg rang up $44.99 and when I questioned them about the price they told me, "We don't price match because we're a pop-up." Seems to me if they're selling Disney Store merchandise the price should be the same as online and in the Disney parks. I wasn't going to put it back because explaining my principles to a 4 year-old wasn't what I wanted to do, but it didn't sit well with me. Especially since I'm so familiar with the prices of items.
