I explained and also told them my budget and they helped me find a great gift. That being said, not a huge selection of gifts here. This is definitely a stationary store first and foremost and they have some cool cards and also a bunch of stuff you can personalize. Lots of cute holiday themed stuff also and gift wrapping items. The prices are definitely on the high side, but I think it is still worth shopping at from time to time in order to support a small business. They also wrapped my gift really nicely which I appreciated. I would probably come back to look around if I was in the area.

The owner, Tracey is especially attentive to printing needs for cards, stationery and menus. She is intelligent, organized and thoughtful. She helped me plan display/shelf-talkers and product cards for my own local store. She is highly creative and has a flair for design and was able to guide me based on my store's interior design. I left feeling inspired and motivated. Their printing is highest quality and at the very least appropriate for your needs. I MADE OUT LIKE A BANDIT!!!!…read more Giving two kids - 9 and 11 y ears old - a $20 budget for Christmas/Hanuka shopping made me tense given that we were headed to Walmart... However little 9 year old princess convinced her brother and myself that this store was the place... We relented to her. Alas I havent been in that area much, but I do know that Spring Valley had an itsy bitsy AS. Not anymore people! Apparently they are in place of the huge PathMark that used to be there. Although the "local"s are nosy and pushy (sorry, i speak the truth) the kids heaped up gifts that were really smart and fun. My little princess had to have her "maybe" pile and the little guy was pensive adding numbers and choosing wisely. It did take a while, but I'll tell ya - what a huge selection. We walked out with so much stuff, from make your own jewelry box, hello kitty teddy that opened to a blanket, basketball, school lunch bag with a cool key chain, pens, lip gloss that I am highly considering next years budget to be $10.... Great bang for your buck.

As a retired person I enjoy visiting different towns and shops in these beautiful towns and will take photos and post on my Facebook page to inspire friends and family to visit these beautiful places and shops. As I browsed this store which at the time had 3 or 4 customers including myself and my friend, I took 4 photos - one of my friend and 3 photos of cute dish towels and coffee mugs with funny sayings on them, I didn't touch these items or rearrange them in any way. When we initially entered the store the sales women were very welcoming and friendly but all of a sudden the mood of one salesperson shifted dramatically. I was walking in a very narrow area and the employee who is an older woman with large framed eyeglasses came way too close to me (neither of us wearing face masks) and said in a stern, unfriendly tone of voice "can I help you?" I immediately felt uncomfortable because of her tone and too close physical proximity to me . I smiled and said no. Then, again in a stern tone of voice she said "any questions about anything?" Again I said no . Then, again with the same stern voice and close physical Proximity she said with the same tone " Any questions about anything you are taking photos of?" In an irritated tone of voice she said next time ask to take photos and looking down at the phone in my Hand she ordered me to "and turn off your camera" I was speechless and never experienced any treatment like this before in any store or establishment . If she said in a neutral tone or dare I say friendly tone of voice - we have a no photo without permission policy or I'm sorry but please no photos - I would have apologized - I saw no signs posted in the store warning of this policy that was obviously very important to this person . On my way home, I found myself feeling very unsettled . This really ended my visit to the shops in Nyack on a very sour note! I decided that I would contact the manager or owner of Maria Luisa boutique to share my unpleasant encounter with their sales person. As I found their information on the internet I came to discover it was the store owner herself -Maria Luisa who treated me so poorly!! Needless to say , I will never return to this boutique! "
