It felt tight with 2 people. The thermostat on the wall was not working right. Our room was 73 and it would not go below that temperature. The front desk did come to assist, and recommended holding buttons here and there to get it to set at a lower temperature. While the temperature did finally get set to about 69, the air was stuffy. Also, the front desk was not wearing shoes which was odd.... The bed was not comfortable. The front desk had mentioned there was a recent renovation but I do not think the beds were in that renovation. The bed was hard and squeaked. You could feel the springs. The complimentary breakfast was okay but what I would typically expect for what I'm paying. Overall this is Dothan, AL and a room should not cost this much and you not have a working thermostat and a 10+ year old bed.

It also reduced the parking available at night so don't be the last to get in at night. You may not have a spot. The staff was first rate from the time we showed up until we left. Friendly, helpful and professional. Our room was clean, well maintained and comfortable. It's located right on the main drag in Dothan and as such, restaurants, gas and shopping are readily accessible. The breakfast was simple and tasty. Plenty of warm and cold options to choose from. I especially loved their layout of snack items and drinks in their little store. I would gladly return to this hotel. My Diamond member status was oddly never recognized by the staff nor did they have Diamond Member parking. This was odd and the only reason they didn't receive a fifth star.

Black hairs on towels in front of sink, roach in bathroom, the room smelled terrible. Old. Furniture was beyond old. First room no a/c, carpet was soaking wet , see pic or moisture meter (had one for work) it was pegging out. Was moved to a new room, new room absolutely smelled like a dog kennel, no hot water at sink nothing at all comes out, then had to use the liquid dish soap to clean the shower out where I even felt it was somewhat sanitary since it had someone else's hairs all over wall and pubic hairs all over the floor. Absolutely disgusting and was never cleaned. Had it not been 11pm I would have immediately left to go find another hotel.

The hotel itself had a pleasant smell and was very quiet. When we first checked in we were shocked to find a very filthy toilet. We asked the front desk to send someone to clean it and they arrived promptly with no problem. Thinking all was well. When it came to getting ready to settle in for the night we found that the shower door was completely removed from the hinges and was actually leaning against the inside of the shower to stand! Not only is this extremely dangerous but it also indicates that the shower was not cleaned by housekeeping because if it was then we would've never been put in the room. With this, we were offered a new and upgraded room by the front desk. We were given a new key and asked to inspect the room before we moved our things. Everything was fine except for the air conditioning in the bedroom was broken. At this point it was 2a and we just turned up the air conditioner in the living room area and hoped for the best. Breakfast was offered until 10:30 on the weekend. The breakfast was alright. There was no fresh fruit offered which I think would've been a very good addition. Check out was easy... until we looked at the bill. They created additional charges for the new room we were moved to due to the fact that we were unable to shower in the previous room.

This is a true DoubleTree by Hilton. They have a pool as well as a great outdoor area that includes fire pits, and a cornhole pit. There's also a restaurant that's available as well as a bar. My wife and I chose this hotel because of the convenience with regard to proximity of why we visited Dothan. We have stayed here on 3 occasions, and this review comes after the third visit. Our most recent stay was a 5 night stay. This will probably be our last stay. For the most part, this hotel is adequate for the cost. It generally runs 100 +/-20, leaning towards the +20. The lot is well lit at night and there is adequate parking for the number of rooms. The rooms, lobby, and food areas are typical for a Comfort Inn. The pool looks well-kept (not used because I visit during January). The hallway carpets look dingy and drab and like it needs a steam-vaccuming. The fitness room was a sad affair, with 2 of the 4 machines operational. (NOTE: If the treadmill isn't starting, check the emergency magnet in the middle). The washer was also non-opperational. The staff was mostly friendly. I overheard gossip about Sarah, complaining about a visitor, and about an hour of mobile game beeping from an employee's phone that was (as best as I could tell) at full volume. The room was clean.
