Towne Mall has been a staple in Etown for many years. It looks like it is getting some revamping. The stores are set up kinda weird and only a limited number of them were open. I'm not a fan of this set up but, hopefully once the revamping is done, it will be a much better mall. I did go into a few of the stores, American Eagle and Bath and Body Works were about the same size and space but, Victorias Secret was very small compared to the other ones I've been to. I don't go to Etown much but, I do hope this place looks great and will thrive again once the revamping is complete. read more

Unfortunately due to the current construction you cannot even walk from store to store at one end to another. There are very few so far, hope that improves and it livens up. read more

Went here about a year ago it was about as dead as the Sahara. When you walk you fell like you've been transported to a mall from our past. The fountain was great and I loved it. Overall a 9/10 would go again. read more

A small used to be pretty decent back in the day it had a lot to offer and a lot of different things. Unfortunately something has happened to it over the years maybe it's like a lot of miles and it's dying and he just does not have the stores in the business that it used to have unfortunately. I always enjoy a visit to Towne Mall. The size is just right. You can walk from end to end without feeling like you have run a marathon. It is not huge like the malls in Lexington and Louisville, but that is one of the things I like about it. There is also a good selection of shops, Belk being my favorite. I have to be honest with you. This place is LAME. I was stationed at Fort Knox for six months, and since there were no malls in Radcliff, we'd always have to make the long drive through miles of rural nothingness to get to Elizabethtown. It's a shame that this mall couldn't be any more interesting. But if it's the only mall near you, sometimes you have to stick with what you have. First of all, Towne Mall is depressingly empty. It's always quiet and never crowded from what I've seen. I think it makes the mall seem more expansive than it really is. I feel that even the storeowners look dejected just from having businesses in this little place. I mean the mall is still maintained and has your basic stores, but nothing beyond that. My final comment about this place is that all the stores paradoxically seem to sell a bunch of stuff that I'll never need. Take a look at the store directory: http://www.thetownemall.com/Map/. A sad place, noisy place. It seems the kiddie play space is the only big hit here, always filled with screaming children and parents happy to let them scream so they can socialize on their phones. We aren't even sure what era clothing is sold here, seems like this place sells things that might have been sold in the 1970's thru 1990. Very dated if you aren't from here. It has a great little eyebrow threading shop and a Cinnabon kiosk. The only 2 things we go to this "mall" for. How sad is that?! read more

Hahahahahahahahahaha! There are between 3 and 6 separate UK / U of L fanstores open here at any given time. Seriously. If you don't smell the stink of death in this g*dforsaken hole, you're delusional. The food court has at least two of five options out of comission at any given time. There's a wig store and a Payless, for cripes sake. In addition to multiple locations where one is able to purchase flammable bed linens depicting wolves or dreamcatchers, various no-brand luggage items can be secured. I would estimate the pleather: leather ratio at about 12:1. I wouldn't choose to wear any of the crap that this place flogs if I woke up naked at the White House and unable to communicate independently. It is, though, a convenient location to get your tires rotated, if you bought them from Sears... The tire shop manager is a nice guy. And that's really the only positive thing I have to say about this vomit stain. ETA: Sears has, apparently (5/15), closed their tire shop. The bell tolls... read more

The problem is that they're spinning their wheels. Elizabethtown is not a small town anymore, especially from when I used to drive around. The population is steadily growing into a massive community and it's great in some ways for the local economy. Towne Mall, however, has lost a lot of its glamour. In the "old days" there were loads of stores and it was an awesome and relaxing environment to spend a day reading books in Borders or hang out with friends and go shopping. Now you're in and out and you could care less. They lost a lot of their stores because they tried twisting the arm of many businesses to raise rent without providing a decent service. The air conditioner in Gamestop didn't work for months, maybe years and the management just ignored their requests. Arby's moved out because the management tried their damnedest to raise their rent, but when you're talking about a multi-million (billion?) dollar franchise, you don't just tell them that. They moved out so quick that you could have blinked and they were gone. As they were leaving the mall offered to lower their rent, but it was too late. So now I ask you...is this REALLY a good mall in a town that is booming so quickly? read more

This mall isn't really a shopping mall anymore, they replaced so many clothing stores with putt putt, sporting activities, VR, and other random things. I go to the mall for shopping so it's very unfortunate I can't do much shopping there anymore. Food court also lacks, there's something exciting about mall food but they don't have much to offer anymore. read more

This place is good for a small town mall. It really could use some more variety. It could be a really good staple of the community if they could just pull in more businesses. It could be a great place for local businesses to be set up and to encourage people to buy locally. The rent is really high so it makes it hard for businesses to stay afloat there. read more

The Towne Mall is not a mall! It's an extremely small shopping center that has Belk, JcPenny, Sears, and something called Burke Outlet. I went here thinking it was an actual mall but the only stores I shop at are: The Children's Place, Bath & Body Works, and Victoria Secret. So instead of being upset about the selections of stores....I would just like to say Thank You Towne Mall for helping me SAVE $$$. read more

A dumpster for human garbage. I didn't think it was possible for the Towne Mall to get worse, but having visited it again recently for the first time in 5-6 years, color me surprised at how much farther it has fallen. If you feel like dressing up as a felon for Halloween, this mall has you covered. I can't believe I used to buy books where meth heads now get tramp stamps. On Saturday nights when the mall is packed, etown's collective IQ falls by 20 points. Felt like I was going to get mugged in the parking lot. read more

No food court. No good stores. The people that work here are super sketchy most of the time. Just not a good mall in any way shape or form.

The Towne Mall is a very small shopping center in the local area with a variety of stores of all types. Their food court is pretty good. Overall, it is a nice place to get some shopping done with stores that we know and love. read more

As far as I'm concerned, this is the little mall that could. Sure it's not much, it doesn't have many shops and it can be traversed in less than 5 minutes, but I for one appreciate that it exists at all where as it could easily be absent in a small town like Elizabethtown all together. read more
