idk who the girl was but she actually made my experience crappy. i told her i needed a refund. directed me to swipe a card i've never seen before, was a little hesitant and didn't ask since she was talking to someone at the register. i then noticed my refund went to the card she made me swipe. did not whatsoever ask me how i wanted my refund as i was expecting to get my cash back today. i said afterwards "i can't get my cash back?" she said "oh you wanted cash? well i can't do anything about it now" GIRL HAD YOU HAVE ASKED ME BEFOREHAND I WOULDNT BE WRITING THIS. literally just ask a simple question because as a customer i didn't know what i was being told to do. ive never had to do that before. anyways, shout out to the young lady working around 1:35pm on 6/5. i unfortunately couldn't get your name, otherwise it would be written down. i may be incompetent as well, but i surely know how to serve my customers. read more

Meh...this store has terminally dysfunctional checkout. The approximate population of Calcutta is usually "working" on the floor or behind the counter, but only one or two checkout stations are open...and....they......take......their.................................time. Don't know how that works, because it's not like your purchases wind up folded properly or anything...They won't even let you have the hanger on a 200$ suit jacket. Regardless: I've never gotten out of here with less than a ten minute wait, immaterial of how many people are in line, regardless of time of day or day of the week, or how many people are working. I've also never witnessed them open another register in response to the line of customers waiting to check out (sometimes enough to extend beyond the checkout area). I've left, probably 40% of the time, when I otherwise would have made a purchase, rather than wait, because it's so mad that it's going to take 30 minutes to check out. Decreases sales and increases costs, because staff have to re-stock unpurchased items. And heaven forfend you need to speak to someone at the Jewelry counter. Because then, better plan on at least a half hour (more, if you're returning). Ugh. Just go to Louisville... read more

I walked into this place the other day being a black woman and noticed I wasn't greeted at all, I stood around to see if they would greet the white people that came in after me, just curious and low and behold they did. I don't know about you but I don't like that. Working in the public, you have to greet all the customers, not just the ones you like. I think I felt some type of way because I walked around the store, didn't purchase anything and walked out the door. I blame this on management lack to observe and train their employees. I wish as a community during this pandemic would get theirselves together and realize if you don't want to do you JOB then stay at home because I here to stay and refuse to be disrespected by anyone. read more

Tj Maxx is just kinda lame. It's average quality stuff at high prices. I never go into this place and think man I really need to take this home for me. There's a chaos to their organization and they're obviously targeting an upper middle class customer base. read more

I should have written this long ago. I love TJMaxx ....well most of them. This store, wow , what can I say. I was a retail manager for many years, long ago. This particular store is a nightmare. I have left several times due to excessive wait lines. Everytime I go there it looks like its Christmas. Hire some cashiers already or better manage the people you have.Then explain to them that the customers are more important than their lunch break, straightening up the luggage section, putting out more picture frames and what they are going to do tonight- cause if we don't have customers, we don't have paychecks. I have complained to "managers" twice about long register lines and the lack of cashiers. Oddly both told me they were THE manager but their name tags did not say Store Manager or General Manager, which to me, means they aren't at the top of the food chain. One of them I had to explain that retail sales don't work unless there are cashiers because she told me she was busy stocking. I said there won't be a need to stock if they close the store for poor sales. She reluctantly opened a register. This store is just very poorly run. The customer service is horrible. read more

I am dissatisfied because I was going to purchase a Samsonite carry on bag and on this bag was attached a very large promotional tag reading, fly light with TJ Max $39.99. Also was a regular TJ Max price tag in the amount of $59.99. Both the cashier and the manager told me the price was $59.99. They stated the other tag was a mistake. It may have been a mistake but many of the bags had these tags. Needless to say, I did not make the purchase but I do believe they should have honored the lower price that they were advertising. I know if this happened at Kohl's, they would have honored the price. read more

I love this place for one of a kind jewelry, house wares, shoes & clothes! Lots of bargains. There's always something new every time I go back. Plus they have Joico hair products, salon quality. You can find good quality towels, sheets ( 300 thread count cotton). There's just so much worth the price. read more

Today I witnessed and employee verbally express her disdain in a woman who was asking for help. She was very rude to her and complained about the woman to another customer as she was checking her out. Some one asked how she was doing and she said "I was doing fine but I got over that." read more

I have visited many T J Maxx stores in different states. This T J Maxx is the worst. From a rude manager (Kim) to dismal, sparse selections, this store needs improvement on several levels. I love T J Maxx stores, but not this one. I would rather drive to Louisville than shop at this store. read more

I just read a lot of reviews here that were not very good. I am an avid shopper and there are always going to be bad days and questionable employees, it is very appropriate to report them to management however to downgrade a whole store for it seems a bit over the top. I have been shopping here since it opened and never ever have I been disappointed with the merchandise offering compared to any other TJMaxx or Marshalls, nor have the lines moved too slow. I have witnessed them opening more registers when the line builds, and they are always pleasant to the customers. There have been a few arrogant ones over the years but they are seldom there longer than a month. I have honestly seen more rude customers than rude employees. Think about that when you judge the store. Great offering and love that every day is like Christmas. :-). Keep up the good work--miss the lady that use to run the fitting rooms, she was a hoot, must have retired. read more
