The reason I gave this place 2 stars is because of the unwelcoming atmosphere after awhile. Upon initially coming in we were greeted and told to sit anywhere which was fine. The service itself was not bad and the food was just OK in my opinion. However, there was a place to select and play music of all genres so my family and I selected some music to play after paying $5 for it. We had noticed that once we started hearing our music volume was so much lower than the music that was played previously on which was country music or pop. I just personally feel like this isn't a diverse place to go and eat or socialize. That itself was extremely unwelcoming and a red flag too me. read more

We love this place. This business has worked so hard to be successful in Joppatowne and it shows. It's a fun environment and the food is great and reasonably priced. They schedule all kinds of fun things like live entertainment and trivia nights. Also, the owners have really gotten involved in improving the community. Anytime there is a local tragedy they are the first ones to walk beside our local residents and organize fundraisers to benefit those effected. The owners and staff are very friendly. My wife and I go here all the time. The place is wonderful, the staff is super nice, the boss is really cool, and they have GREAT FOOD. My wife loves the coconut shrimp. Wow! What a surprise we got when we decided to try Towne Grill and Pub! We have lived in the area for a long time and just decided to pop in on a Saturday. Everything was delicious. We went back again about 2 weeks ago and had great meals again! The owner even came over and introduced himself and swapped some stories with my Dad. What a great local place with awesome staff! We are addicted to their breakfast sandwiches on Texas toast, and get cravings for their Italian-style subs (which we split). Recently I tried their Crab Cake Melt, made Eastern Shore-style (which means little Old Bay seasoning as is common in Baltimore-style crab cakes). I enjoyed it a lot- the amount of bread crumbs was just right. DH had stuffed tilapia which was tasty, although he had expected a larger portion (mind you, it was an acceptable portion!). read more

Stopped here for dinner on a Friday evening based on recommendation of a friend. It was very crowded and very loud. It seemed that most people knew one another and were sitting or standing at the bar drinking but not eating. Took a rather long time for our food to arrive. Since I have to watch my calories, I asked if I could have the Fish Basket with cole slaw and no fries. The fish was very greasy and the large dish of cole slaw was just not to my liking. My husband had a burger and onion rings which he said were also very greasy. The waitresses were all very friendly and nice but it is not a place that we would recommend except as a friendly "local bar". read more

I like this place especially since they remodeled and now serve Beer, Wine and Liquor. It's a small pub, stools lining the bar to the right and tables are to the left, and there's also a smaller room on the right side of the restaurant that they usually reserve for their Paint Nite events. There are plenty of TV's in the pub to watch your favorite games and most importantly they have your favorite beer on tap. The food is pretty good and priced reasonable. I always enjoy a nice cheesteak and mega fries - no chili! I prefer to eat in vs. takeout/delivery only because sometimes they get my order wrong or forget something. The wait time can be longer than usual during happy hour or baseball/football games but that's to be expected. The waitresses are friendly and accommodating, my fav is Missy :). read more

I used to love ordering from this place but boy have they changed. When I lived around here they had the best cheesesteaks around and I would order their mozzarella bacon fries before they were even on the menu! Now their cheesesteak is horrible! Hardly any meat on the sub and despite asking for extra provolone and mayo there was hardly any of either of them in the sub. I spent $6 on two orders of french fries and while one was atleast filled up half way the other was barely filled to a quarter of the bag. I am really disappointed in the food and I don't think I'll be coming back here again. read more

Just moved into the area a couple months ago and heard about this place, went there and I was blown away! The food was excellent, definitely better than anything else around. The service was outstanding and the people were really nice an outgoing. I ordered for delivery the other day and I was surprised with how fast the guy got here! Just ordered breakfast from this place (I work up the street) and WOW. What a hearty breakfast. 3 pieces of french toast, 2 sausage patties, a generous portion of hash browns and 4 slices of bacon. I visited Grill Sensations with my boys. I ordered an Italian Cold Cut with everything. I asked if pepperoni is included on it and was told it was not. I asked if they could add the pepperoni and I would be glad to pay additional. It was not a problem for them to add and I was only charged fifty cents. I split the sub with my son ad we agreed the sub was awesome. My other son had ordered a cheese steak. At 14 he made note of the quality of the steak itself, how it didn't have any tough chewy gristle in it. We all had fries and enjoyed them. No burned up little pieces. Quality food, made the way you like and all with a smile. You can tell the good folks there, care. Keep up the great work and I'll be bringing, my family back soon. read more

Unfortunate mistake for my friend and I to choose to eat here. Our waitress could not answer any of our questions. We had to prompt her to leave us and find out what the soup of the day was, along with prices for crab cakes. The "Fav" meatloaf was left untouched after one bite. The cole slaw that came with it was runny and had quite a bit of vinegar. The owner did come over after I sent the cole slaw back and asked us how we liked our dinner. When I told him it was not good, his only comment was that we make the cole slaw here and left. No thought to asking if I would like something else or a refund. My friend got a salad with chicken. We also got an crabmeat appetizer. It was not what we expected to get. It was crab dip spread on sub rolls covered in cheese. Certainly, not worth the money we paid . We paid the bill (including the meal that was not eatable) and will not return. read more
