I love that they have old fashioned books ( out of prints ) and comics , CD , records in big disc format , marvel comics, toy figures collection, etc. I also love to see some pretty book marks and inexpensive prices . It lives up to the name " Half Price " book store . The store is clean and nicely organized. Good customer service at the front and in the back for buying your used books. A gem hidden inside Dublin blvd with all the Marshalls, Target , restaurants and shoes stores . You must take time to explore this bookstore .

We sat in the car to enjoy our lunch, then went back to the store for more bargains. The bookstore has some outside vendors too. The staff here have always been…read morefriendly, helpful, they have a comic section with books from the last year or so on the right side of the store which includes titles from Marvel, DC, Image, Dynamite, and a few titles from independents. I have not seen many back issues with the exception of wall comics. They have a pretty large area of clearance $1 comics on the left side of the store which seem to be 2-3 years old books. I like that these $1 boxes are on tables and my back appreciates that they are easy to sort through. They also have an inventory of collected editions which includes trade paperbacks, hardcovers, omnibus, and compendiums. The owner Kerry has tried to help me find some obscure current comic books a couple times which I appreciate. The staff have all been helpful and easy to work with. I believe they do a significant amount of business in trading card/game card these days, but still have a respectable comic offering.

Target Dublin: Wrong Info, Poor Treatment, Zero Follow-Up…read more I visited Target Dublin (Dublin, CA) on December 1st with my family, and the experience was handled poorly from start to finish. A Cyber Monday discount didn't apply to my items, so we asked for a manager. While we waited, a loss prevention employee involved himself in a pricing issue that had nothing to do with security, which immediately shifted the tone for no reason. When the manager arrived, she gave incorrect information, stating that Target in-store cannot honor Target.com Cyber Monday discounts. That was false - I read the fine print, placed a pickup order at another Target right after and received the correct discounted price without any issue. I went to Customer Service to return the items, and security watched me the entire time, despite the purchase having just taken place in front of them. As my family and I walked toward the exit, security positioned themselves near the doors as if they expected the alarms to go off. That kind of scrutiny isn't appropriate for any customer, and it was difficult not to connect the way we were treated to the fact that we were shopping while Black. After we left, I called Target Dublin multiple times to get the manager's name, and no one ever answers the phone. When I escalated the issue to Target Corporate, I was told the regional manager likely chose not to follow up, which says everything about the lack of accountability at this location. The cashier we worked with was kind, but the overall handling - the misinformation, the security behavior, and the lack of accountability - ensures we will not return. I'm sharing this review in hopes that Target leadership takes these concerns seriously and ensures other families don't have similar experiences. If Target truly wants to provide a safe, inclusive environment for all shoppers - especially Black families - meaningful change at this location is needed.

The "Tri City Voice" is a free community newspaper that covers the South Eastbay. It's available at…read morevarious locations, but I usually grab a copy or read it at Peking Garden in San Lorenzo. With offices in Fremont, it has a huge coverage area from San Leandro to Milpitas. It seems to lack frontpage news stories, but has everything else. Content such as city events, obits, police and fire reports, horoscope, school sports, and classified ads. The paper seems to fit the gaps that those other "cookie cutter" newspapers don't cover. The Tri City Voice gets residents interested in their community, and generates involvement. A valuable asset to the Eastbay.

A variety of articles on health, cooking and gardening. This paper even has color photos. Very appreciative of the newspaper staff and the quality product they put out on a weekly basis.
