Great wings, draft beer list, and bar food. Awesome neighborhood bar with friendly staff!

Hot barbecue buffalo wings with blue cheese dressing and celery.

I used to go to the Town Tavern regularly before 2000. I always loved their Cajun wings. The Town Tavern had won numerous awards for their wings "back in the day". Then I moved to Arizona. I have never found a wing sauce thatI liked as much as theirs, since I had not been back to North Eastern Pennsylvania in many years! I have to admit, Buffalo Wings are my favorite food! I would ask for them as a last meal if it ever came to it. I was back to visit family and the Town Tavern was on my "must go" list. I saw some mixed reviews and I didn't know what to expect after 22 years. They did not disappoint! Ashley was our server (and bartender) and she couldn't have been nicer to the three "strangers" who showed up in her dining room. She told me they still had the Cajun wings I loved so much. My husband had the assistance of Justin, one of the cooks, who helped him pick out a wing sauce that was just how he liked it. I actually decided on the Cajun Garlic sauce. My sister decided on a Hot Parmesan sauce. The wings came out hot, crispy and loaded with plenty of sauce. I would highly recommend the Town Tavern for wings and also the Italian Grinder which went home to my brother-in-law. My sister is definitely planning on visiting the Town Tavern in the future and introduce the delicious food that they offer. The best part of my visit is I found out I can order the sauce and have it shipped to Arizona! I won't have to miss my Cajun wing sauce ever again!

They are COVID compliant outdoor dining beautifully set. Wait was a little longer but we are not rushing perfection and they absolutely nailed it we were back to see our grandson and wife and I had the afternoon to ourselves. Just delicious as always thank you

Hot, soggy, discusting celery inside hot wing take out container. Flat out trifling!

10 year customer! My family and myself have been coming here since as long as I can remember. We usually order the mild garlic wings with celery and blue cheese. The wings are always good but for some odd reason the celery is always an obstacle. Sometimes you get celery sometimes you don't. When you get celery sometimes it comes packaged nicely outside the hot wings and sometimes its packaged inside the wings. This time was a little overboard. I opened the foam container up to find the cold "fresh" celery scattered all around the hot wings. Making the celery hot, soggy and anything but tasty. This is totally unexceptable in my eyes. I know this isnt the entire places fault. More than likely just a young punk kid working in the back throughing things together because that's how he/she was raised to not pay attention to detail. If done to enough customers this place could lose a lot of business. So what I am trying to say is if you are a fellow Yelper and customer make sure you reiterate and double check your order if you intend on doing business with this place. As for the management at Town Tavern Im not going to tell you how to run your business, but I think you get the point. See picture attached.

I must say, came here for something different and was pleasantly surprised the wings are awesome, I would think all the food would be as good. I highly recommend

One of my favorites! Great food, cold beer and awesome staff. The wasabi shrimp was great, the tavern nachos are so fresh and the wings....amazing!

Town tavern. Is a great little local secret in Pennsylvania. I have drove past this place about 20 times. One day a co worker suggested it fir lunch. I ended up going after work with a co worker. Parking was a pain in the neck. The parking lot is super small and I almost had a hummer back into me. TT doesn't have a big sign out front but I heard they have award winning wings. I had to try them. They are right down the road from our second location in PA. When I went inside it was packed with really friendly locals. The bar was shaped funny. Seating was all in the back and you sat your self. But they had 1 waitress on duty. They have a great selection of wings and really cheap. It was $12 for 20 wings. In NY that is unheard of your lucky if you pay $1 a wing on a good night. I got the spicy BBQ and my co worker got the 20 BBQ garlic. They were really good better than any chain wings I have had. And the best by far in PA I have had. The prices are super cheap. It's a old School attitude offering good food done right for cheap. We got rum and cokes they were good. I was not a local but they def respected me and that was nice. I will defiantly be back here my next trip in. PROS -food is cheap but good -best wings I have had in PA -local hangout CONS -parking is really limited.

A look at the amazing draft selection.

This review was very mixed. We'd heard great things about this place and wanted to try a new place…read moreas we've started exhausting a lot of local places. The decor was great, the drinks were FANTASTIC, my food was about a 5 out of 10. I had the carbonara. Very oily and not creamy at all. I would have used a different blend of cheeses to make it creamier and less oily. My guess is they used Asiago. Not bad but not as great as I was expecting. My wife had the red beet salad. Shockingly a $20 salad with canned beets on it. Mediocre at best but the canned beets ruined it. If your getting a salad that features a specific vegetable wouldn't you want that vegetable to be the best highlight of the salad? That was the good part. The service I can't even explain. I'm not sure what happened because if it were like this everyday they'd be closed. We walked in downstairs and was told to sit wherever we wanted and then we were forgotten about. The bartender finally came over after my wife was looking her way for 20 minutes. Bartender apologized for forgetting about us. No waitresses anywhere. The AC I think was off because it was cooler outside on a warm muggy PA night than it was inside. The bar was about 3/4 full and there was one table seated and we noticed about 3/4 of the outdoor seating was occupied as well. Not super busy at all. We waited about 20 minutes before we were approached. We ordered water until we could got our menus and reviewed them. Water never came. Someone else came over and asked us about ordering drinks. We ordered drinks and asked about our water. Water never came. Drinks came. Then yet a different person came over a few minutes later to take our food order. We ordered water again since we were planning on drinking more. My wife's appetizer came out, meatballs. Pretty good, similar but somewhat different flavor than my Italian mothers recipe. When the app came out that person finally got us silverware, napkins and our water. Food came a little later. That's described above. During dinner we had to get up to get refills on water and were never offered additional drinks or anything. We finally stopped someone and asked for our check. My wife had to go to the bar to pay the bill. No one ever came back to the table. At one point earlier we were asked who our waitress was and we all looked at each other because 4 or maybe 5 people were at our table at some point but it was like we still couldn't get stuff we needed. My wife paid with a card she had forgotten to activate and it declined. The bartender gave her the slip and the card and never noticed or told her. She realized it at the table. We had to go back to the bar and pay again because after cleaning that one table everyone except the bartender would vanish. Finally we paid, sweating our asses off in a corner table with the most bassy sound system pounding for 2 hours we got out of there and went to a local bar for drinks. I would have loved to have enjoyed this place and loved to have had more drinks because their bar was the highlight of the experience but it was clear they didn't care about us at all. And we were sweating to death.

Service and food were quick even though the soup never came. $7 for a kids meal that consisted of all sauce on a plate with 3 raviolis. Not large ones. The generic small ones. That's something for a 2 year old. Not 10. The fries tasted and looked like they were fried multiple times. The spaghetti was so overcooked it was just mush. The chicken fingers were actually chicken patties (if you have kids you know this is an issue). I got the hot roast beef sandwich. It had a very wierd taste to it. I assumed it was the beef bc it was fatty I kept spitting it in my napkin. Then I realized it was actually the gravy. I was crossing my fingers it wasn't spoiled. I ordered a pizza for the table. Omg the sauce. It was like an extremely garlic-y (and I like garlic but this was wierd) pasty pasta sauce. It left a taste in our mouths for hours. Needless to say all of our food went in the trash. I didn't say anything. We just paid and left quietly. Not sure how to tell someone the entire meal was the worst we've ever had. Anyway, thought I'd spare someone their money if they were never there. On the positive side the interior was cute.
