Lawrence came out quickly to give me a quote for my 3 bathrooms, laundry room, and tile shower. I didn't have the finances to do all rooms at once so I did the master bathroom, a second bathroom, and the tile shower. The company sent out Quame to do the work, who was a total sweetheart and I loved having him here. He did a great job and walked me through step by step what he was doing and made sure I was happy with how it looked in a corner of one bathroom before he did the rest. Lawrence sent a message that evening to make sure I was satisfied, which I was initially. When I went to inspect closer that night, I noticed a few smaller areas that had been missed. I sent pictures to Lawrence immediately and Quame was ready to finish the job at my door at 9 am the next day. I can't wait to do part 2 and will certainly request Quame again. It's been about 6 weeks now since the job was complete and no more staining when my dog has an accident on the tile or mold growing in my shower! It was pricey but worth every cent of the peace of mind and newfound ease of cleaning the shower.

I contacted Marblelife and Lawrence (the owner) was very responsive initially, and scheduled an estimate quickly. This was the 3rd estimate and the most expensive (almost double the cost) but I decided to go with this company regardless of price because I thought they would do the best job. Lawrence seemed professional at the time. There were 2 technicians assigned to my home, 1 was much more professional than the other. The project took 2 days, since I have a larger home. At the end of day 1, they decided to store their equipment in one of my closets, on my new carpet without asking first. They asked my husband after they had already stored everything if it was okay. It really wasn't, but we didn't want them to have to move everything. They could have at least used a tarp to line the carpet first. The equipment scuffed up my walls, but they used the paint I provided to touchup the walls after. Not really a big deal. But no one would want dirty equipment stored on their brand new carpet. After they completed my home, I noticed a very large white area on my walkway (see pics). I contacted Lawrence, who then sent one of the techs out to scrub it. I was told by the tech that sealant was spilled and it may take until next spring for it to be completely removed. The stain is still there today. They did admit to spilling the sealant, and the 1 tech was apologetic. Maybe if it would have been cleaned up immediately vs sitting for a few days, it wouldn't have been a problem. There is also a small dent in my soaking tub from them standing in it and dropping their tools and equipment. Lawrence has still not followed up at all. No apology, not a word. The tech left after trying to remove the spilled sealant and we haven't heard from anyone since. I would have expected Lawrence to at least check in about the walkway. My husband and I have tried contacting him on numerous occasions through email and phone to have our walkway restored to its original condition and to fix our tub. We have not heard from Lawrence and we hired them back in December. It's really disappointing to have trusted this company, only for them to damage my new home and ghost us afterwards.

When we moved and decided to add a laundry room Utility Sink, we went straight to them for ideas and Adriana showed us multiple available samples that coordinated with our intended cabinets. When we finally got to that point in the project, we went back out and they had some ADDITIONAL remnants that we just LOVED! They were out Quickly to do measurements, and since we were providing a larger Utility tub, and extra room on the side and back, took with them to make sure to get correct 'drop in' opening. We had pushed out the cabinet to match front of washer, and cabinet filler to allow for door opening. They had it ready about a week later per our discussion! We LOVED it in our space and they were FANTASTIC to deal with EACH Time! Excellent Communications in walking us thru the respective products, VERY Reasonable on price for BOTH Houses considering different sizes, complexity of projects. We can HIGHLY recommend Slabworks to ANYONE!

Seek an alternative to United Granite and avoid hate and discontent in the future!…read more I'll try to keep offer you an abridged and more detailed review, depending on what kind of reader you are. Contributors who get too emotional and write long rants about a business or service are generally dismissed. Plus, if you're lazy, like me, you won't read anything that's too long. The most important takeaway is that I'm presenting facts, not opinions. So, I highly suggest that if you are in need of natural/stone materials (marble and granite), you read this review and consider avoiding United Granite. I've had nothing but trouble with United Granite from the jump. For those who are impatient, lack the time to read a long review, or haven't taken their Adderall, here's the short version. - Customer Service: Poor (UG doesn't stand by their work, doesn't stand by their products/materials, and repeatedly told me why they couldn't correct the problems I was having with my new granite surround while continually reminding me that I was lucky to get the purchase price I received for this particular type of granite because the price per square foot increased since the original purchase date. What are those problems? Two cracks. One upon installation, which they did a reasonable job collecting, and the second, appearing for no discernible reason at all over the holidays. Strangely, this second crack was in the flat horizontal cross-piece of granite at the top of the surround. When I contacted UG about this, they said there was nothing they were willing to do, and essentially refused to send anyone out to even take a look at the issue and try to correct it) - Tech/Installer Proficiency: Below Avg (template technician was totally lost and the installers made excuses as to why they couldn't or wouldn't do things that I've since learned are simple and rudimentary for a fireplace surround installation. And oh, yeah - they cracked a piece of granite while installing it) - Quality of Installation: Poor (installer cracked the floor slab in front of the hearth on day one. UG had to dispatch yet another technician to fill the crack and re-polish the slab. Of everyone I dealt with, this particular technician seemed to be the only one who really knew what he was doing, and his work was satisfactory) - Quality of Materials/Products: Poor (most of the detail about my issues with the granite are above, but how ridiculous is it that they offer granite that is so flimsy that it cracks upon installation, and cracks again for absolutely no apparent reason at all? What's more, why would UG increase the price of granite that is so fragile that it can't even support itself when affixed to a wall? I have since learned that the reason the price went up was more for UG's convenience than because of the actual 'high quality' of the granite. One of their customer reps disclosed to me that this particular type of granite was a real pain to deal with because it was so fragile. OK, well then why is UG even offering it to customers, and why did they increase the price by nearly 50%?) Bottom line - look elsewhere for your granite Bottom line: Consumers should avoid purchasing materials or paying for services provided by United Granite. Failing to do so would be a frustrating and costly mistake easily avoided by seeking more dependable and reputable alternatives for their granite and tile needs. They're not the only game in town, and as I mentioned above, spending a few more dollars per square foot will help you avoid a lot of hate and discontent in the future.
