In researching places near where we were staying, we learned about the Italian deli and shop. We were looking forward to stopping by to check out the store and grab lunch. The store itself is very cute and charming, full of so many items - fresh meats and cheeses, imported olive oils, pastas, desserts, wine, and liquor to name a few. There is an area where you can get coffee drinks and there is a deli area for ordering sandwiches, pizzas, specialty dishes, and salads. The variety of options is plentiful. I ordered an iced coffee beverage, which was great. My significant other and I ordered a sandwich to go, which we were splitting for a light lunch back at the hotel. The person helping at the counter was not very friendly or helpful with questions. We asked for our sandwich to be made on the Dutch Crunch bread, as we were looking forward to trying it. Unfortunately, when we got back to the hotel, it turned out that the sandwich was made on a regular ciabatta roll, which was not fresh. Additionally, the sandwich was mostly mixed greens. For the price, I expected more meat. With so many great food options in San Francisco, it is likely we won't stop by on future visits to the City.

Perfection- only way to describe the sandwich. Every single bite was a perfect ratio of bread,…read moremeat, sauce and condiments. Not one bad bite in the whole sandwich. Portion size was perfect as well. The best sandwich I had in SF and one of the best sandwiches I've had anywhere. Service- I got here early as I knew the line would get long. Took about 30-40 min from start to eating my sandwich so not bad. Grab and go spot so there's no bathroom or really any seating. I found a bench down the block to eat. 10/10 experience- wish I grabbed a sticker or other merch!

I paid for 1 hour of parking and was lucky the meter maid didn't come by since it took about 1 hr 10 minutes including the 15 minute wait for the sandwich to be ready, and the walk over. I ordered their most famous sandwich, the 49er which is corned beef, pastrami, brisket, white American cheese, cherry peppers, coleslaw, 1000 island, board sauce, on a French roll. For $24 I was expecting a larger sandwich, it was only about 6" long. It's a good sandwich, I would rate it 4 stars, but honestly the coleslaw and cherry peppers didn't contribute enough to the flavor - it needed more tanginess. A positive was that they give you two pieces of pickles to help balance the flavors, but I would not order this sandwich again, nor would I go back to Deli Board since it wasn't worth the wait. Their Coke is in glass bottles which looked cool but not at all recommended for cars since it tipped over too easily.

Every sandwich is unique, with such thoughtfully curated ingredients that somehow come together to create the most perfectly balanced flavors. Call Me Serg is always a hit and one of my favorites! But I just tried their newest Deluxe Baguette with pickled veggies, pork confit, and duck liver mousse and WOW. CHEF'S KISS The creativity is unmatched! And don't even get me started on their banana pandan pudding (okay, ALL their puddings are amazing) and chocolate chip cookie -- an absolute MUST. They also have some of the most unique snacks I've never even seen or heard of before! Ramsey is such an incredible chef and creator. You can tell how much thought and passion goes into everything. Honestly, some of these sandwiches could easily cost more considering the quality of the ingredients and craftsmanship, but they keep them so reasonably priced! If you're a foodie, you NEED to check this place out. Dolores Deluxe deserves all the love and recognition!

We came in the early afternoon (1:30pm), so it makes sense they sold out of it! If there's a sandwich you really want to try, I'd definitely advise trying to get there earlier if you can. We ended up getting the Deluxe Baguette #62 and Call Me Serge. Both were good sandwiches! Not sure how long I would wait for each, but my friend and I didn't wait too long. They were very flavorful combinations! The Deluxe had confit and pate and seemed like a premium banh mi, while Call Me Serge was a tangy turkey sandwich. Both were quite warm and drippy. The service was great - we got free slushy samples as we waited. This is a grocery store as well so you can look at what they're selling as you wait in line. When we came the line was actually out the door and down the street!
