Besides that, they have some good care givers and some not so good caregivers. Trying to get the one you like doesn't seem to work well and you can end up with someone else you never had before or no one at all when someone should have been at your house. The biggest issues is Management and more so Scheduling is the worst, you call to verify someone is coming out and it's a roll of the dice depending who you get on the phone, I can go into a long list of issues, but them being hacked and not letting the customer know for such a long time is just a pisser. Make sure they supply you with what you need, don't go out and but stuff they are getting paid and make sure to get enough of it. Write down when they come out and who ect, and make sure they fill out the log sheet.

She had told me that hospice would not get involved because it was a "family matter". I was physically assaulted in front of my son and 10-year-old son (and a police report was filed), so the following DOES apply. I am not a fringe family member; I was directly involved in my son's day-to-day care. I reached out to their corporate compliance division several weeks ago, spoke with someone who promised to get back with me at least by the following week; I never did heard back! I have filed several regulatory complaints but those take time and since my son is already in hospice, we don't know how much time is left My heart is broken and no one seems willing to help. Under 42 CFR § 418.64(d) - Counseling Services and § 418.56(c) - Plan of Care, hospice is required to: Assess the family and caregivers for psychosocial needs related to the patient's terminal illness. Offer counseling and social work interventions to support them in their caregiving role. Help resolve stressors as they affect the patient's care and safety.

I had the best care in the world, best aides, and the very best nurse, Tami Moore Waugh. From the very beginning of this journey she was compassionate, kind, caring, and explained everything so that I could understand it. Whether good or not so good. She kept on top of all my medications and communicated with the doctor if she saw a need for change. She made me feel comfortable with the condition I was in, and would go out of her way to make me more comfortable. Now, praise God, I'm on my own but I miss her terribly. I'm 88 years old so I know it won't be too far off when I may be with Compassus and Tami again. They are fantastic!

I spoke with the case manager from Capital Home Health for Austin home physical therapy after my intake by their physical therapist. The lady with whom I spoke called from Dallas and could not have been ruder. She took great enjoyment in speaking over me repeatedly, not allowing me to ask questions, not allowing me to question the referral, nor allowing me to question the number of days authorized. I ended up telling her she was fired after 10 minutes of this. Bottom line, if I allowed Capitol Home Health to treat me as they planned, my insurance company only authorized 3 days of treatment. Capitol Home Health wanted to treat me for six to eight weeks. While their contract states that you would only pay what the insurance pays, and wouldn't have to pay a copay beyond that, in this situation the bill would have been catastrophic and would have ended up being a court case.

We reported this incident immediately to HC. Alice, the owner contacted me and asked me to pay for the medical check using our homeowners policy. Are you kidding me, this was completely inappropriate - as they inspected our property before coming out and we were not the caregivers employer. We were losing our father and we were in no way financially responsible for this incident nor could we handle this kind of issue while facing the death of our father. I would definitely not recommend this company. I have been a healthcare administrator for over 30 years - and knew the procedures for employee incidents. This was so heartbreaking to have Alice to attempt to get us involved. I would not call this Heavenly Care........

Then our second attempt we were told that it took too long and too much effort to get caregivers for me and that because we had canceled at the last minute even though we paid the fee that was a huge inconvenience.
