He does all the work himself so you know you can trust the project will be done well. He is also easy to work with, reliable, and charges very reasonable rates. We will definitely be hiring Brooks again for other floor projects in our house! We recently bought an old home in Pittsburgh (built in 1895) and have had Brooks rehab and refinish the floors in several rooms so far. He was able to hand sand and remove stains on the original parquet floor in the dining room which other floor specialists told us would not come out. When we bought the house, the landing of the staircase was unstained oak while the stairs and surrounding wainscoting were stained dark. Brooks was able to stain the landing to match the wood around it with exceptional precision. He was also able to disguise a few very unfortunate gouges in our living room floor that were made by the movers (we had JUST had Brooks redo this floor prior to moving in so were very disappointed about the damage caused by the movers). We were very happy Brooks could fix it!

They came out right away and assessed the damage and gave us a competitive quote. Being that it was days before Christmas we were having trouble getting people to even respond to our calls let alone come out and look at them, we were very happy. I don't even want to give them one star. The two men who own the company Chico and Shai are crooks. They conned me into believing they do professional work, but they subcontract out the work to people from New Jersey and overwork them by having them work long hours and hurry jobs. Worst yet, they don't pay them. They treat their workers horribly and their customers even worse. They caused about $5000 damage to my home also and conned the finance company to release $15000 without my consent or work done. To add to my problems, they had me staying at Hotel Indigo for a week and never paid me for the inconvenience as promised. I am new to the city in Heberton but I do not want anyone making the same mistake as I did. Lastly, they have 13 lawsuits against them in just the last couple of years. Call me if you want to see for yourself. 814-233-4635 To add insult to injury, they will not reimburse me $2000 for having me and my renter stay in a hotel for a week. Please do not use Perfect Flooring which used to be Pittsburgh Flooring for any work. They had to change their name a few years ago due to similar issues. UPDATE 11/29/2016 Chico responded to my comment a month or so claiming that he offers dissatisfied customers a 15% discount. Total lie. That was never offered to me or other dissatisfied customers. If it was, Perfect Flooring would not have a dozen lawsuits against them. Chico and Shai are the worst contracting company I have dealt with in Pittsburgh area and the most dishonest. Sad what they do to people.
