We got there early for our 6:30 reservation, had to wait which is reasonable since we were early but they started seating walk-in sat 6:35 and we questioned it and suddenly our table was ready. Waitress was absent most of the time, she literally walked away from our table Mid order because she got distracted. 20min later we flagged down our bus boy and eventually got out waitress. Dinner arrived around 8:30 (6:30 reservation) and was just my husbands barely warm fish and chips, my food arrived a bit later. For me, corner stores like this get a 'yay' or 'nay' based on the quality and selection of their bulk candies. In that sense, Red Rooster did well. At least they did when I frequented them, although it's been many a'moon since I've called White Rock home. I also found that they stocked Haagan Dasz Rocky Road icecream, which is not only the most delicious icecream ever, but it's also near impossible to find at any of the grocery stores in White Rock. Chocolate, nuts, marshmallows - what could be better? This one also doubles as a video store, which I think is just odd. Lucky day for me, because Red Rooster is a fare dealer as well, so I was always able to get my bus pass the day I REALLY needed it without having to haul my sorry self all the way uptown. They close up shop around 10pm or so, and after that you have to walk up to the 24 hour Mac's on the highway. Boo.
