With something like gutter cleaning, where I don't want to climb onto the roof to inspect the work myself, it's great to be able to see exactly what was done and how thorough they were (answer: very). I was not sure about the need to have my solar panels cleaned. They were producing ok and ever so often I'd use the water hose to clean them off. Good right? Well, not good enough. Total Solar Cleaning is AWESOME. The hurricane level (by Bay Area Standards) rain and wind this winter did no favors to our gutters. They were full of leaves and starting to overflow, and we knew it was supposed to continue raining. We got a few estimates to clean the gutters and install gutter guards, and their estimate was the most reasonable and the most timely - they were able to come out within the week to do the job. They ended up finishing just as it started to sprinkle again, which was great timing because those sprinkles turned into a full blown (California) monsoon! Since then we haven't had any issues, our gutters are clean and effective, and the guards themselves are super easy to brush leaves off of. I highly recommend their services - I doubt we'll ever need a reinstall but if we did, they'd be the first people I'd call! Also not strictly related to the install, but the guy who gave me the quote used google street view to estimate how many feet of gutters we had on our house and he was spot on. Super convenient because it meant they brought the right amount of materials out on the first try, and that has to be a pretty cool party trick. read more

After one rainy day, I noticed water along the interior wall of my bedroom. As the gutters are located where the water appeared to be coming in, I thought it must be due to clogged gutters. My search for someone to come out was easier than I thought. Today businesses use Google map to determine the square footage of the house and can give an estimate without even coming out. I requested a quote online and received a response quickly. I got several other quotes and chose to go with Total Solar Cleaning - as the price was fair and their reviews were outstanding. Mitch responded and scheduled an appointment for the work to be done. The team texted me when they were within 5 minutes of arrival. They went to work and were finished in 2 hours. Said they would send pictures of the work. I was told there was a buildup of debris along the valley of the roof and should consider having them come back to clean out underneath the roof tiles along the valley. I decided to have the valley work done to prevent potential future issues. They came out and did that work as well. Noticed some white splotches and asked what that was. Mitch said some of the tiles were cracked and glued back together. I told him I had extra roof tiles stored away and would they be willing to come back to replace the cracked ones without any additional charge to me. Mitch said sure and it was done right away. Total Solar Cleaning is an exceptional company. They will send an email confirming the date work will be done and then send another email showing invoice paid. He came through for me during the floods that we had on New Year's Eve and came out to check on my gutters, even though he really didn't have the time to do it.
