This place just saw me as a wallet with testicles. I feel very manipulated and these women will waste your time. This is the medical equivalent of cheesy breastaurant like Hooters in my book. If you are looking for big promises and lies with soulless service from young, attractive, and unprofessional women, this is your place!
The first red flag should have been the five-minute wait on hold to just talk to someone when I booked my appointment. I found this place on the Dallas County website listing COVID-19 antibody testing. I never thought my crappy insurance would pay and the price was never an issue. $149 to find out if I have anti-bodies is still a deal to me, but I will gladly die of anything before I give this operation a nickel.
After a long wait a woman picked up the phone and answered my question about the price of the anti-body test. The very friendly woman on the phone started asking about my insurance unsolicited. I told her who my carrier was, and she insisted Molina would cover the test AND a testosterone test to boot (which I had scheduled in July with my primary care doctor to check). We even joked how crazy it was that my health insurance fights me on my diabetes medication but is paying for COVID anti-bodies and testosterone tests. She played right a long, I was just a sheep being led to the slaughter. I was caught in their cheesy man trap sales funnel.
I thought it was a little strange that she did not want my insurance information. I offered it and she seemed unsure and like she was looking for a cue or dropped her script. I realized I did not have my card in my wallet. I asked if I could call back or email it and she nonchalantly said, "yeah, just call back". Ten minutes later I called back, and I am back on hold. After another long hold I was directed to leave a voice mail. I left a message for the nice lady that I had my card and to call me back for the information. That was a good three days before my appointment. I never got a call back for my insurance information. Weird, but OK...
This morning I woke up early, took a shower, took time off work, and got dressed for my appointment. I even took the time to print off a new ID card and arrived on time to my appointment. There were two young ladies, neither a day over 25 when I walked in. I was wearing a mask, one lady was wearing a mask and the other who was blonde, pretty, and with a nose ring was not wearing a mask.
This might make me a jerk, but I do not care to see a nose ring on anyone flying me around in the sky, doing my accounting, or working in my doctor's office. I expect to see nose rings on exotic dancers, waitresses in casual restaurants, and down on their luck folk that hang around bus stations. It was unsettling and compound that with not wearing a mask, I wondered who this young lady thought she was. It was obvious the blonde did not give two flips about anything including my health or a patient/customer standing in front of her. She never made any eye contact and seemed a bit preoccupied with whatever she was doing on her computer.
However, she didn't let that stop her from rudely interrupting me and the young woman that was wearing a mask when I was trying to clarify things. It became obvious I had been lied to by a call center sales agent in Austin about the insurance. The woman with the mask immediately told me "We don't accept your insurance" even though in big two-foot letters on the front window it also says "WE ACCEPT ALL INSURANCE". I told her about the woman in the office I talked to when I made the appointment. She had assured me that it was accepted. The masked woman asked me the name of the woman. I forgot, I asked how many women do you have working here? That is when the whole operation became clear. The masked woman advised me that the person I talked to did not work in the clinic and was at a call center. I realized I was just caught up in their sales process. They put some young attractive women in the front, have sincere and friendly sounding women promise you the world on the phone. I guess that works on poor dopes that have not felt an erection in years. Well I got bad news, that ain't me.
I would have gladly paid for the anti-body test and considered testosterone therapy for my diabetes. However, after being disrespected, lied to, and generally wasting my time, I had to use my testicles and walk out of there with out spending a dollar. I would not pay $149 + my dignity for a simple anti-body test.
I did not get any further than the front desk. Who knows what kind of manipulation they had for me behind the front desk? I will say the young woman with the mask was very friendly and polite. Everyone else was worthless at their job and wasted my time.
Y'all blew it. You had a paying customer standing right in front of you with a wallet full of cash. That's obviously all this operation cares about and you couldn't even close the deal with a little common courtesy and respect. Way to go. read more
