There have been many times that I have called during normal business hours trying to make an appointment, but no one would answer the calls, nor would she return the phone calls after numerous voicemails. She has even hung up on me after they have overcharged us and I was trying to get a refund - she did so in such a fashion that you would think she considers herself the queen of England. I am disappointed that Dr. Kelly would hire such a self-important, unfriendly, unhelpful and repelling receptionist. We are forced to change doctors - we are just trying to get treated by a professional doctor, not to be insulted by a receptionist!

I appreciate that they took the time to compose an email and deliver it to me via the Texas Health MyChart portal. Maybe some people don't care for hearing about their results if they are normal, but I always like to know and appreciate that I didn't have to call and ask myself. PREVIOUS Review: This review is mainly for Heidi, the RNP who conducted my physical today but I've had a lovely experience already communicating with multiple office staff from making our appointments to the experience in the waiting room and with the various assistants who took vitals, drew blood, etc. We just moved to the area and needed to establish ourselves at a new Family Doctor and since I just like to get everything done at once one time per year, they were able to accommodate simultaneous appointments for my husband and I to see Dr Weldon and Heidi. I was seen first by Heidi but Dr Weldon was running behind (NBD, it happens). Heidi was energetic, engaging, and I really enjoyed our conversation during my appointment. I was here for a very simple reason - just an annual physical but I am confident I'll get awesome care anytime I need it. Healthcare can be so impersonal these days so I really appreciate that she spent time actually getting to know me and that she genuinely seems to care about every patient's health and well-being. They do their best to offer same day sick appointments if ever needed, and they do most of their blood work in house (and you are drawn here too, which I appreciate not having to schlep to a lab on another day) If today's visit is any indication of future visits then I know we made a good choice!

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Kene Anamekwe! I…read moremoved to Wylie from Odessa in 2018. I had a wonderful Internist in Odessa that I really did not want to lose. I am a cancer survivor and have other health concerns so a GOOD doctor that I can talk to and who will address all my concerns - no matter how small - is a must for me. I tried going back to Odessa every few months but when some issues with my blood came up, my doctor felt like it was time for me to find an Internist in this area to be more closely monitored, so I began my search. I got some recommendations from my Hematologist - four or five names. I called several at random because I did not really know anything about any of them. I ran into problems like, "not taking new patients", "we don't take that insurance", etc. I called Dr. Anamekwe and was able to make an appoint fairly quickly. Honestly, I had put her farther down on my list because I have hearing issues and I was afraid I would have trouble understanding her, but I decided to give it a try. After making my appointment, I looked her up on the internet to see what I could find out about her. Her clinic is Vivify Wellness Center and I found out that they had a weight loss center. I thought, "Oh boy! I am looking for a doctor to address my health concerns and all she is going to be interested in is my weight." I have struggled with my weight for many years. I have been to many weight loss clinics. Trust me. I know the drill, but for some reason I decided to give it a try anyway. I was pleasantly surprised! Dr. Anamekwe is delightful, very personable, easy to understand, and took an ample amount of time with me. All through my visit, though, in the back of my mind was, "When is she going to hit me with the weight loss." I NEVER happened! We talked about all my history. She told me how she was interested in treating all my issues to the upmost of her ability; she shared her philosophy on medical treatment; and she never mentioned the weight loss portion of her practice - I had to ask her about it. She told me if I were interested in that, I would have to make another appointment just for it because her medical practice is separate. I was impressed. I have now been seeing her for almost six months. She discovered I was pre-diabetic. I am going today for blood work that I expect to tell me that I have completely turned that situation around. I did join her weight loss program, which is really just a lifestyle change, and I have lost over 30 pounds. The plan is easy and I am never hungry. I have very few cravings but when I do, I have learned that the taste of that food is not nearly as good and the way that lower number on the scale makes me feel. I am looking forward to getting off some of my medications - I currently take NINE. (Can you imagine the cost of that!) Recently I told her, "Dr. Anamekwe, you are going to save my life." She answered, "No, I am going to be the instrument God uses to save your life." Wow, when was the last time you got a response like that from a doctor? I thank God for putting the obstacles in front of me when I was searching for a new Internist. I know He led me straight to Dr. Kene Anamekwe.

But Gupta told me she wasn't involved in any data checking or appointment decision making until I went to ER. She said it was all on the nurse practitioner. - What?! Why?! She said it was strange I was scheduled at week 11. It's usually week 8. - Whose responsibility?! Who's bearing the consequences? I asked her how I know if there was ever a fetal pole or not, she said "ya we don't know." 2) the nurse practitioner, Mahnaz, just kept telling me even an earlier sonogram wouldn't make any change to the result. - what about the data for me to know what actually happened? And she just did what every OB would do. - without asking her OB? She told me she didn't know I tried to make an earlier appointment. It was all the front desk girl. - Seriously?! At the end, she just told me "I need to go to see my patient. You can talk to the office manager because you and I are not getting anywhere!" Next thing I knew, she slammed the door and left me in the room by myself. - What a jerk! It hurts like so many bad words. I'm surprised she does this for living. She should be fired. 3) If you want to get their attention, consider to share your experience here, they will call you right away. ---- Worst experience! No matter how much I told the NP, Mahnaz, after I signed up to Gupta about my advanced age and my last miscarriage which was within a year, the NP just gave me very broad info intake and 2 blood work in week 5. I had to be the one to request for blood work in week 6 when I saw my HCG wasn't doubling. No more blood work scheduled till the miscarriage. My first sonogram was scheduled at week 11. - Ridiculous! I called and requested a few times to have an earlier sonogram. I was told the Dr said it's not necessary!!! I feel very dismissed from this place on me or whatever risk I am going through. One star bc there's no zero star option. Just know that all the negative reviews here and on Google are not coincidence.
