I have been going to Dr. Markus for years. He's great, He'll tell you what's wrong or what's not with no BS or sugar coating. He knows his stuff. He has kind of an orthodox bedside manner that most find refreshing but i've heard some don't care for. He's very relaxed and jokes with you. Some people like the serious doctor. Well Ive never done a review but I had to. This guy is worth it. He has saved my hide just in time a few times now. For that I will tell anyone who listens. I replaced my physician of 17 years with this guy MARKUS.. Man I should have done it a long time ago...Been with him 3 years now. Light hearted, No BS, straight shooter and a complete realist about treatments and long term health options. I think I appreciate most his candor and honesty. And, his poignant lightheartedness. I cant say I love to see doctors, but I can say I am pretty happy to see him. He doesnt seem to play the games of doctors playing things "safe" and following the insurance games on treatment, and trying things that dont work and waste valuable time.. I always feel like he is a experienced service that serves me and not his office and staff like many others I have encountered. Im willing to say that Ill bet he is this way with everyone. While he does make me feel important every time I visit, I never ever feel like he has 85 patients a day and I am in veterinary clinic. I went in for a visit since I was not feeling well and I had heard great things about Dr. Markus that I wanted to give him a try. I been to several of different doctors over the years and have had some unpleasant experiences. Dr. Markus already had a full schedule but manage to squeeze me in out of his busy schedule. Like everyone else has said, he's got a refreshingly direct and non-judgemental bedside manner. I have seen him twice, but his sense of humor and frankness gives me faith that he's telling me what he knows and knows what he's telling me. I've been going to Dr. Markus since my early 20s, in the early 1980s when he first started practicing. He is amazing, and I would not want to have anyone else as my doctor. My mother had horrible COPD and emphysema and I'm convinced he kept her alive for YEARS through sheer will alone. My husband and I both see him now, and he also saved my husband's life with a very quick diagnosis and referral when my hubby had testicular cancer. Doctor Markus and my family go way back. We were neighbors for many years. He is truly like family to me. We even sometimes disagree on treatment plans but at the end of the day he is usually right. All the other reviews about his personality, bedside manner and such is spot on. I would not see anyone but George. I know that when I need him he will be there for me......always. It really scared me when he had the bike accident for all the right reasons but also the worry he would not return back to his practice. The best way I can tell anyone how brilliant in medicine he really is would be to simply say If I were dying I would want Dr. George Markus standing over me and if you cannot say the same about whoever your doctor is you may be with the wrong doctor. I am his patient and he is my doctor.......I am his friend and he is my friend.....I love him with the strongest of Christian love and I know that he feels the same.
